INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Universal 300/390 MHz Transmitter with Surface Mounting Box
S ection 1
General Description
The CP/TX radio transmitter is designed to provide reliable WIRELESS activation of any automatic door. It is part of
the most extensive line of programmable wireless products available and compatible with MS Sedco switches.
The CP/TX radio transmitter is a universal unit which can operate in either the 300MHz or 390MHz systems.
The CP/TX comes with the transmitter prewired and installed in the mounting box for easy installation. One screw
access also allows for easy battery placement.
S ection 2
Basic Installation
1) Drill at least two holes in the box back plate and secure it to its intended location.
2) If the weatherproof gasket (MS Sedco #10001) is to be installed, apply per the instructions provided with it.
3) Secure the door activator switch assembly (purchased separately) to the box frame with two #6-32 screws
(provided with the switch).
NOTICE: Drill out pilot holes when necessary to mount door activator switch.
4) Program the transmitter, located in the box frame, by setting the 12 dip switches on the printed circuit board (PCB)
to match the receiver. Only use the first 10 switches for the 300MHz system. Then, set the slide switch (SW2) to
either 300MHz or 390MHz as shown below (fig. 1).
5) Plug the 2-lead transmitter wiring harness onto the “COM” & “N.O.” (Normally open) contacts on the door activator’s
microswitch.
6) Attach the box frame to the back plate by placing the “lock lip” of the frame over the top of the back plate and
pushing downward in a hinge-like motion (fig 2).
7) Secure the box frame to its back plate at the underside with a 1/4-20 screw (supplied).
