Set Up of the Wii Remote
The remote uses two AA batteries. Use only high quality alkaline batteries for
the best game play experience and longevity of battery life. Please read the
following information carefully.
• Installing Batteries
• Synchronizing a Wii Remote With the Wii Console
• Turn the Rumble feature on or off
• Check battery levels
• Adjust volume of internal speaker
Installing the Batteries
Important Note: If you would like to use rechargeable batteries, the
only type of battery recommended are Nickel Metal Hydride batteries.
When it comes to using rechargeable batteries, you must follow
manufacturer guidelines for safety and proper usage. Failure to do so
could cause damage to the Wii Remote and void the warranty.
1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote and insert two
AA batteries, using the plus (+) and minus (-) guides in the Wii
Remote's battery compartment to insert the batteries in the proper
direction.
2. Be sure to insert the minus (-) end first when inserting new batteries,
and remove the plus (+) end first when replacing the batteries.
3. Replace the battery cover.

Synchronizing the Wii Remote with the Wii Console
Synchronizing the Wii Remote to a Wii console allows the Wii Remote to
communicate with the console. The Wii Remote included with your system
should already be synchronized to your console. However, all additional Wii
Remotes you use with your system also need to be synced in order to function
properly..
There are two different modes of synchronizing (syncing):
• STANDARD MODE - The Standard Mode procedure is used when
adding additional Wii Remotes to your system or if you want to
re-synchronize your original Wii Remote. Once synchronized, the Wii
Remote will stay synced to the console unless you overwrite the
settings by syncing the remote to a different console. For instructions
on Standard Mode syncing, please click here.
• ONE TIME MODE - This mode allows you to temporarily use your
remote on a Wii console other than your own, or to use a friend's
remote on your console. It can also be used to change the order of the
Wii Remotes, without the need to turn off the Wii console. One Time
Mode does not delete the Standard Mode setting stored in the Wii
Remote. In this mode, the Wii Remote will only communicate with the
Wii console while the power is on. When the power is turned off, the Wii
Remote will lose its sync with the Wii Console. For instructions on One

Note: Only a Wii Remote in Standard Mode can turn the Wii console power ON
or OFF.
Standard Mode Synchronization
Note: Make sure you have placed batteries in the Wii Remote (how to).
1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the
battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

3. Press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card
compartment on the console. Press and release the SYNC button just
below the batteries on the Wii Remote.
4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED
that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).
This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii
Remote added to your system.
One Time Mode Synchronization
Note: This mode temporarily removes Standard Mode synchronization
setup for all Wii Remotes until the power of the Wii console is turned off.
When the power is turned back on again, the Standard Mode settings
will return.
1. Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the
Wii console.

2. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button menu.
3. Select the Reconnect Option.
4. Press the 1 and 2 Buttons at the same time on the Wii Remote that you
want to synchronize with the console. If you are syncing multiple Wii
Remotes, press the 1 and 2 Buttons on each Wii Remote
immediately (without a significant pause) in the order you want them
synced. The order in which you synchronize Wii Remotes determines
the player order (1 through 4) for multiplayer games. The Player LED
will blink during the syncing process. When the blinking stops, the
connection is complete.

Turn the Rumble feature on or off
The Wii Remote has a built-in rumble device that will shake the Wii
Remote at certain points while using the Wii. The following information
describes how to turn this feature "on" or "off."
• Not all games use the Rumble feature.
• Turning the Rumble feature off can extend battery life of the Wii
Remote.
2. Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the
Wii console.
3. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button menu.
4. Select the Rumble "On" or "Off".

Check battery levels
A fresh set of alkaline batteries should last, depending on amount and
type of use, up to 35 hours. This can vary greatly based on certain
factors, such as Wii Remote Speaker Volume, Rumble, battery quality
and age, and type of game being played.
Important Note: If you are using rechargeable batteries, the only
type of battery recommended are Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. When
it comes to using rechargeable batteries, you must follow manufacturer
guidelines for safety and proper usage. Failure to do so could cause
damage to the Wii Remote and void the warranty.
There are two ways to check the Wii Remote's battery levels:
• Remove the battery cover and press the Red "Sync" button. The number
of lights flashing indicates the Wii Remote's battery strength. Four
flashing lights indicates full strength, with one light flashing indicating
the lowest level.

• Use the HOME Menu to check battery level of each Wii Remote:
1. Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with
the Wii console.

2. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button
menu.
3. The battery level of all synced Wii Remotes is dispalayed along
the bottom. Four bars indicates a full charge, with one being the
lowest charge.
Adjust volume of internal speaker
The Wii Remote has a built-in speaker that is used at certain points
while using the Wii. The following information describes how to adjust
the volume of the Wii Remote's speaker.
• Not all games use the built-in speaker.
• Turning the speaker volume down can extend battery life of the
Wii Remote.
• This procedure must be performed on all Wii Remotes you wish to
adjust the volume of.

1. Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the
Wii console.
2. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button menu.
3. Move the cursor over the "-" and "+" buttons to increase or decrease the
volume levels. You will hear a sound from the speaker each time you
adjust the setting. The sound approximates what the volume level
would be at that setting.

Using the Wii Remote

Wii Remote Configurations:
Depending on the game, the way you hold and operate the Wii Remote will
vary. You may need to hold the remote in either one or two hands. Read the
instruction booklet for the game you are playing for information about what
kind of game play control is required for that game.
The remote can be used by itself, or in different configurations when connected
up to other Wii accessories. These configurations can be used right or
left-handed.

Basic Operations:
The Wii Remote redefines the controller with its motion-sensitive capabilities.
Below are some of the common motions Wii players can expect to perform
while enjoying their games.
Point: Point the Wii Remote
at a specific place on the TV
Screen
Waving: Wave the Wii
Remote back and forth from
side to side
Pushing or Pulling: Move the
Wii Remote forward and
backward.
Holding and Grabbing: Point the Wii Remote at a specific
place on the TV screen and move the Wii Remote while
holding down a button.
Twisting: Move the Wii
Remote in a twisting motion
by rotating your arm.

Thank you for purchasing the Mad Catz REACTOR for use with the Wii video game

IMPORTANT! Before using the Wii™ with this product, read the Wii instruction manual
for safety, health, and other information regarding the use of the Wii.
GENERAL SETUP
1) Insert fresh batteries into the battery compartment.
2) Sync the REACTOR with the Wii console as described below
if needed.
3) Attach the wrist strap to the loop found at the bottom of
the REACTOR.
4) Insert hand through wrist strap and hold REACTOR firmly.
5) Move the strap’s slider towards your wrist to ensure a
secure fit.
6) The REACTOR is ready for use.
SYNCHRONIZING THE REACTOR
There are two (2) ways to sync the REACTOR with the Wii
console: using the Wii’s SYNC button, and using the Wii’s HOME
Menu.
A) Using the Wii’s SYNC button
1) Power ON the Wii console.
2) Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii to reveal
the console’s SYNC button.
3) Remove the REACTOR’s battery cover to reveal its
SYNC button.
4) Press and release the Wii’s SYNC button.
5) Press and release the REACTOR’s SYNC button.
6) Once a wireless connection between the Wii console
and the REACTOR has been successfully established, the
REACTOR’s player indicator LED will illuminate solid blue. The
illuminated LED indicates that REACTOR’s player number, one
through four (1-4).
7) Re-attach the REACTOR’s battery cover.
8) Repeat for additional REACTORs.
B) Using the Wii’s HOME Menu
1) Using a Remote that is already synchronized with the Wii
console, press the Remote’s HOME button.
2) Select the “Wii Remote Settings” option from the
HOME Menu.
3) Select the “Reconnect” option.
4) Simultaneously press and release the “1” and “2” buttons
on the REACTOR. If you are syncing multiple REACTORs, press
and release the “1” and “2” buttons on each REACTOR in the
order you want them synced. This order will determine the
REACTOR’s player number, one through four (1-4).
5) Once a wireless connection between the Wii console and
the REACTOR(s) has been successfully established, the player
indicator LED on each REACTOR will illuminate solid blue. The
illuminated LED indicates that Remote’s player number, one
through four (1-4).
5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Mad Catz warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
for the warranty period. This non-transferable, five (5) year limited warranty is only to
you, the first end-user purchaser. If a defect covered by this warranty occurs AND you
have registered your product with Mad Catz AND you provide proof of purchase, Mad
Catz, at its option, will repair or replace the product at no charge.
The Mad Catz five (5) year limited warranty is available to North American and
European customers. Your sole and exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of your
Mad Catz product. In no event shall Mad Catz liability exceed the original purchase
price of the product. This warranty does not apply to: (a) normal wear and tear or
abusive use; (b) industrial, professional or commercial use; (c) if the product has been
tampered with or modified.

- The vibration function of this unit can aggravate injuries. Switch OFF or do not use
the vibration function of the unit if you have any ailment of the bones or joints of your

that cords are not placed in a position or areas where they may become pinched or
damaged.
- Do not wrap cords around any part of anyone’s body.
- Do not allow children to play with cords.
- Misuse of batteries within this unit may cause batteries to leak and/or explode and

- This product contains small parts that may cause choking if swallowed. Not intended

WARNING
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Do not mix old and new or different types of batteries.
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the product.
- Supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before being charged.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.

SEIZURES
- Some individuals may have seizures or black outs triggered by the flashing lights on
television or in video games, even if they have never before had a seizure.
- Anyone who has had a seizure, loss of awareness, or other symptom linked to an
epileptic condition should consult a doctor before playing a video game.
- Parents should be aware when their children play video games and observe them
regularly. Stop playing and consult a doctor if you or your child have any of the
following symptoms: convulsions, loss of awareness, involuntary movements, eye or
muscle twitching, altered vision, disorientation.
When playing video games:
1. Sit or stand as far from the screen as possible.
2. Play video games on the smallest available screen.
3. Do not play if you are tired or need rest.
4. Play in a well-lighted room.
5. Take a 15-minute break every hour.
REPETITIVE MOTION INJURIES
Playing video games (and the repetitive motion involved) can make your muscles, joints
or skin hurt. Playing video games in moderation can help avoid such damage. Also:
- Take a 10- to 15-minute break every hour, even if you don’t think you need it.
- If your hands, wrists or arms begin to hurt or feel sore or tired, stop playing and rest
them for several hours before playing again.
- If pain and soreness continues, stop playing and consult a doctor.

INSTALLATION GÉNÉRALE
1) Insérez des piles chargées dans le compartiment à piles.
2) Au besoin, synchronisez la télécommande avec la console
Wii tel que décrit ci-dessous.
3) Attachez la sangle bracelet à la boucle située au bas de
la télécommande.
4) Insérez la main dans la sangle bracelet et saisissez fermement
la télécommande.
5) Déplacez le guide de la sangle vers votre poignet pour qu’elle
tienne bien en place.
6) La télécommande est prête à être utilisée.
SYNCHRONISATION DE LA TÉLÉCOMMANDE
Il y a deux (2) façons de synchroniser la télécommande et la
console Wii : à l’aide du bouton SYNC du Wii ou à l’aide du menu
HOME du Wii.
A) Utilisation du bouton SYNC du Wii
1) Mettez la console Wii sous tension.
2) Ouvrez le couvercle du logement de la carte SD situé à
l’avant du Wii pour découvrir le bouton SYNC de la console.
3) Retirez le couvercle des piles de la télécommande pour
découvrir le bouton SYNC.
4) Appuyez sur le bouton SYNC du Wii et relâchez-le.
5) Appuyez sur le bouton SYNC de la télécommande et
relâchez-le.
6) Une fois la connexion sans fil établie entre la console Wii et
la télécommande, le témoin du joueur de la télécommande
s’allumera en bleu de façon continue. Le témoin allumé indique
le numéro du joueur de la télécommande, de 1 à 4.
7) Remettez en place le couvercle des piles de la
télécommande.
8) Répétez ces étapes pour chacune des télécommandes,
le cas échant.
B) Utilisation du menu HOME du Wii
1) Sur une télécommande déjà synchronisée avec la console
Wii, appuyez sur le bouton HOME de la télécommande.
2) Sélectionnez l’option Paramètres depuis le menu HOME.
3) Sélectionnez l’option « Changer l’ordre ».
4) Simultanément, appuyez sur les boutons 1 et 2 de la
télécommande et relâchez-les. Si vous synchronisez plus d’une
télécommande, appuyez sur les boutons 1 et 2 de chacune
d’elles (pour ensuite les relâcher), dans l’ordre où vous désirez
les synchroniser. L’ordre de synchronisation déterminera le
numéro des joueurs, de 1 à 4.
5) Une fois la connexion sans fil établie entre la console Wii
et la (les) télécommande(s), le témoin du joueur s’allumera
en bleu de façon continue sur chacune des télécommandes.
Le témoin allumé indique le numéro du joueur de la
télécommande, de 1 à 4.

CONFIGURACIÓN GENERAL
1) Inserta las baterías nuevas en el compartimiento de la batería.
2) Sincroniza el mando de la consola Wii como se describe a

ALLGEMEINES SETUP
1) Legen Sie neue Batterien in das Batteriefach ein.
2) Synchronisieren Sie die Fernbedienung ggf. wie unten
beschrieben mit der Wii-Konsole.
3) Befestigen Sie die Handgelenksschlaufe an der
Schlaufenhalterung unten an der Fernbedienung.
4) Führen Sie die Hand durch die Handgelenksschlaufe und halten
Sie die Fernbedienung gut fest.
5) Ziehen Sie die Schlaufe zu, um einen sicheren Sitz zu
gewährleisten.
6) Die Fernbedienung kann jetzt verwendet werden.
SYNCHRONISIERUNG DER FERNBEDIENUNG
Die Fernbedienung kann auf zwei (2) Arten mit der Wii-Konsole
synchronisiert werden: mit dem SYNCHRO-Knopf und über das
HOME-Menü der Wii.
A) Synchronisierung mit dem SYNCHRO-Knopf der Wii
1) Schalten Sie die Wii-Konsole ein.
2) Öffnen Sie die Abdeckung des SD Card-Steckplatzes vorne

INSTALLAZIONE
1) Inserire batterie nuove nel vano batterie.
2) Se necessario, sincronizzare il telecomando con la console Wii
come descritto qui di seguito.
3) Agganciare il laccetto da polso all’attacco in fondo al
telecomando.
4) Far passare la mano nel laccetto e afferrare bene il
telecomando.
5) Regolare il passante del laccetto sul polso per un’aderenza
sicura.
6) Il telecomando è pronto per essere usato.
SINCRONIZZAZIONE DEL TELECOMANDO
Ci sono due (2) procedure diverse per sincronizzare il
telecomando con la console Wii: uso del pulsante SYNC del Wii, e
uso del menu HOME del Wii.
A) Uso del pulsante SYNC del Wii
1) Accendere la console Wii.
2) Aprire lo sportello dello slot SD card sulla parte frontale del
Wii per vedere il pulsante SYNC della console.
3) Rimuovere il coperchio batterie del telecomando per vedere
il pulsante SYNC.
4) Premere e rilasciare il pulsante SYNC del Wii.
5) Premere e rilasciare il pulsante SYNC del telecomando.
6) Una volta stabilito il collegamento wireless tra la console
e il telecomando del Wii, il LED giocatore del telecomando si
accenderà con una luce blu fissa. Il LED illuminato indica il
numero giocatore del telecomando, da uno a quattro (1-4).
7) Ricollocare il coperchio batterie del telecomando.
8) Ripetere per telecomandi aggiuntivi.
B) Uso del menu HOME del Wii
1) Per usare un telecomando già sincronizzato con la console
Wii, premere il pulsante Home del telecomando.
2) Selezionare “Impostazioni Wii Remote” dal menu HOME.
3) Selezionare l’opzione “Ricollega”.
4) Premere e rilasciare contemporaneamente i pulsanti
“1” e “2” sul telecomando. Se si stanno sincronizzando più
telecomandi, premere e rilasciare i pulsanti “1” e “2” su
ciascun telecomando che si desidera sincronizzare. Questo
ordine determinerà il numero giocatore del telecomando, da
uno a quattro (1-4).
5) Una volta stabilito il collegamento wireless tra la console
e il telecomando (o i telecomandi) del Wii, il LED giocatore su
ciascun telecomando si accenderà con una luce blu fissa. Il
LED illuminato indica il numero giocatore del telecomando, da
uno a quattro (1-4).
ATTENZIONE

- In caso di stanchezza, pesantezza o dolore alle mani e/o alle braccia durante
l’utilizzo del videogioco, sospendere immediatamente l’uso. Se tali condizioni
persistono, consultare un medico.
- Far funzionare l’unità esclusivamente con le mani. Non portarla a contatto con altre
parti del corpo (testa, viso o altro).
- Evitare un uso prolungato dell’unità. Fare una pausa ogni 30 minuti.
- La funzione di vibrazione dell’unità può aggravare eventuali lesioni preesistenti. Si
consiglia di disattivare la funzione di vibrazione in presenza di disturbi alle ossa o
articolazioni di mani e braccia.
- Disporre i cavi in modo tale da non calpestarli o inciamparvi. Accertarsi che i
cavi siano disposti in una posizione o in un’area dove non sia possibile pizzicarli o
danneggiarli.
- Non avvolgere i cavi attorno ad aree del corpo.
- Tenere i cavi lontani dalla portata dei bambini.
- Se le batterie vengono inserite in modo erroneo, potrebbero verificarsi fuoriuscite di
sostanze nocive o potrebbero esplodere causando lesioni alle persone.

- I bambini che utilizzano videogiochi vanno periodicamente controllati dai genitori.
Interrompere l’attività di gioco e rivolgersi al medico qualora il bambino mostrasse

Durante il gioco:

SYNKRONISERING AF FJERNBETJENINGEN

A) Ved brug af SYNC-knappen på Wii

7) Sæt batteridækslet på fjernbetjeningen igen.

B) Ved brug af HOME-menu på Wii

der allerede er synkroniseret med Wii-konsollen.
