SE1410

Sound Enclosure
REASONS FOR MOUNTING AN SE1410 SOUND ENCLOSURE

1. The enclosure provides one-hour fire break protection.
2. The enclosure will reduce the sound travel between floors up to 10dB.
3. The enclosure will provide a template for the drywall cutout, leaving a perfect location for mounting the speakers.

ENCLOSURE ASSEMBLY

The SE1410 comes ready to install. The structure includes a positive cable clamp for securing the speaker cable input. The
SE1410 includes screws for mounting through the holes on the front faceplate. which allow you to secure it to studs or
ceiling joists ranging from 12" to 24" across.

STANDARD CEILING ENCLOSURE INSTALLATION
1. Choose the location where you want to install the enclosure.
2. Place the enclosure between the studs/joists
and mount it using the provided drywall screws.
(Diagram 1)
3. Run the speaker cable into the enclosure and tighten
the positive connection cable clamp.
4. After the drywall has been hung, plug the speaker
cable into the speaker and install the speaker into
the enclosure. Be sure to align the front-mounted
switches on the speaker with the pictures of the
switches running across the label on the enclosure.
5. Installation is complete!

DROP CEILING ENCLOSURE INSTALLATION

1. Choose the location where you want to install the enclosure.
2. Place the enclosure between two pieces of T-Bar, attach a secure line through the
washer on the back of the enclosure, and tie it off to a solid surface above the
enclosure. (Diagram 2) Be sure that the enclosure is secure in its position on the
T-Bar and that it is not in danger of falling.
3. Run the speaker cable into the top of the enclosure and tighten the positive connection cable clamp.
4. After the ceiling tile has been cut to accommodate the speaker hole opening,
plug the speaker cable into the speaker and install the speaker into the enclosure.
Be sure to align the front-mounted switches on the speaker with the pictures of
the switches running across the label on the enclosure.
5. Installation is complete!
