Central locking system with radio remote control

Included in the car's equipment are:
1 Two electronic master keys with a removable
mechanical key element,
The unlocking buttons (3) are different colours to
help distinguish the two electronic master keys.
2 One electronic spare key without the remote control
functions, but with a removable mechanical key ele—
ment. The spare key cannot be used to unlock the
car by remote control nor to operate the summer
opening/ convenience closing feature.
We recommend carrying the spare electronic key
with you (with your cheque cards, for example) so
that it is safe and always easily accessible should
you need it.
Central locking system
The radio remote control can be used to unlock the car
from some distance, even without having a direct view
of the car. The radio remote control should only he used
in the immediate vicinity of the car to prevent unauthor~
For reasons of safety the side windows and sliding/tilt

diate vicinity of the car, using the remote control's
infrared function — see page 36,

Changing the batteries in the electronic master
key

We recommend having the batteries changed by a

Central locking system
Automatic locking when driving
The car will be centrally locked when it reaches a speed
of approximately [0 mph (15 km/h).
If a front door is opened from the inside, the car unlocks
centrally as long as the car was unlocked centrally the
previous time using the remote control.
The automatic locking mechanism can be switched on
or off. See the section headed "Individual settings“,

There is a risk of being locked out when pushing or

The central locking switch can be used to lock or unlock
the car from the inside,

If the car has been locked with the electronic key, the
car cannot be unlocked with the switch.

Opening or closing side windows and sliding/tilting
sunroof (summer opening/convenience closing

Summer opening: the sliding/tilting sunroof and the
side windows are opened.

Point the tip of the electronic master key at the door
handle on the driver's or front passenger door.
Summer opening:
Unlock the car and hold the button until the win
dows and sliding/tilting sunroof are opened to the
required position.
To halt the opening procedure:
Release the buttons
Convenience closing feature:
Lock the car and hold the button until all windows
and the sliding/tilting sunroof are fully closed.
A Risk of injury
Monitor the locking procedure to ensure that no
one becomes trapped.
If there is a risk of anybody becoming trapped,
release the button — the closing procedure is
interrupted immediately.
Press and hold the m button — the side windows
and sliding/tilting sunroof will open again.
Ensure that all side windows and the sliding/tilting sun~
roof are properly closed before leaving the car.
