Depress the button marked “PGM” on the Martec
Access Products HomeLink® Compatible Default
Receiver. This will cause the “STATUS" LED on
the receiver to light. You now have 30 seconds to
complete step 3.
Programming Step 3 ‘
Depress the HomeLink® Universal Transceiver
button that you have selected to control the
opener: continue holding until the “STATUS”
LED on the receiver goes “OFF", You now have
30 seconds to complete step 4. i
Programming Step 4
Depress the same HomeLink® Universal
Transceiver button a second time and hold until
“STATUS“ LED on the receiver starts to flash.
The default rolling code format is now installed.
Your installation is now complete.
NOTE: To install additional HomeLink® Universal
Transceiver buttons fallow Programming Steps 2. 3,
and 4for each button
If a seventh HomeLink® Universal Transceiver
button is installed into the Martec Access Products
HomeLink® Compatible Default Receiver, the first
button installed will be pushed out. All buttons are
treated on a “first in ", “first out" basis after six
individual buttons have been installed.
Depress the Martec Access Products HomeLink®
Compatible Default Receiver Program button for 10
seconds to erase all transceiver codes stored in
memory

defects in material and workmanship for one year from

a warranty claim The user will pay the cost of returning
the device to the warrantor for service. This warranty is
void if the failure of the device is delemiined to have
been caused by improper installauon or use, abuse, fire,
water. or acts of God. This warranty excludes all other
warranties, expressed or implied, including any warranty
of merchantability. Martec Access Products shall not be
liable for consequential or incidental damages that may
arise from any defect or failure of the radio control
device. Some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of consequential or incidental damages This
limitation is not valid in jurisdictions, which do not allow
limitation of incidental or consequential damages or
limitation of warranty periods. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
that vary from state to state

INSTALLATION & PROGRAMMING
INSTRUCTIONS
The Martec Access Products HomeLink®
Compatible Default Receiver is intended for
the control of garage door and gate openers
that do not have HomeLink compatible radio
receivers. The default receiver can be used to
program up to six HomeLink transceiverv
buttons. The power is supplied to the receiver
, by a 24 volt plug-in transformer. A two»wi1e
harness is supplied for connecting the relay
l output from the default receiver to the radio
’ control input of the opener. In some cases it will
’ be necessary to make the connections to the
push button terminals on the opener.
Radio Controls are prohibited fiom providing
constant contact closure when installed
I on the push button inputs of residential
garage door openers that are provided with
monitored safety systems.

Step 1. Mount the Receiver.

reach of the wire
connecting the power
transformer and the wire
going to the opener
terminals.
Step 2.
Wiring
Receiver
to Opener
Plug the two
white wire
harness into
the receiver
output terminal
marked
“RELAY?
Step 2A. Connect Receiver
to Opener
Connect the two white wire harness to the
appropriate terminals on the opener.
(See opener instructions, in some cases
it will be necessary to make these output
connections to the push button terminals on
the opener).
Step 3. Plug the 24 Volt
Power Transformer Lead
into the Receiver.
Plug the power transformer lead into the receiver
output terminal marked “PWR”.
Step 4. Plug the Power Transformer into a 115 VAC Receptacle.
Reconnect power to the opener and proceed to programming.
PROGRAMMING
CAUTION
The opener may operate unexpectedly as you are
programming your remote controls.
NOTE: The Martec Access Products HomeLink® Compatible Default Receiver can be programmed before it
is mounted and connected to the opener. Simply plug the power transformer into a convenient receptacle or
extension cord, connect the 24 volt power transformer lead to the receiver, and proceed with the Programming
Instructions, After programing, unplug the transfonner from the temporary power source and move the
receiver and power transformer to their permanent locations. Connect the white wire harness from the receiver
to the push button or radio control terminals.
Programming Step 1
Enable the HomeLink® Universal Transceiver to transmit the default code by
simultaneously holding the three push buttons down for 20 seconds until the
transceiver LED changes from solid “On" to flashing “On and Off". Continue to
hold the buttons down for approximately 10 additional seconds until the transceiver
LED stops flashing and goes out. The HomeLink® Universal Transceiver is now in
the default rolling code format. (continued)
