GEM RF CONTROLLER SYSTEM

Volt battery.
DESCRIPTION
The Gem two‘channel RF controller system is designed for use with an operator
controller that is provided with a “Constant Pressure” mode of operation. The
motor will run in the direction selected by the activated push-button until the
push-button is released. When the push-button is released the motor shall stop.
CONSTANT PRESSURE FUNCTION
Depressing a directional pnshbutton will cause the appropriate RF controller
relay to energize the operator directional relay to run the motor in the selected
direction. The motor will run in the selected direction for the duration of the
pushbutton closure. The motor will stop when the pushbutton is released, or the
end of travel limit switch in the selected direction is actuated.

The receiver board is provided with a 24” long color-coded harness for interconnection of the
receiver board with the motor control board of the operator.
1. Black Wire: 24 VAC/DC Positive power supply connection and common to the control
relays.
1. White Wire: l4VAC/DC Negative power supply connection.
3. Red Wire: Normally open Relay output to Down direction.
4. Yellow Wire: Normally open Relay output to Up direction.
5. Blue Wire: Two Blue wires for connection to Learn Button.
6. Red “Learn” LED on receiver board.

c. Times out if transmitter is not prograrmned within 30 seconds.
7. “Clear" push-button mounted on receiver board erases transmitter memory.
NOTE: Move jumper J-5 to location J-4 to change relay common from DC Positive to DC
Negative when required.
RECONNECT POWER TO OPERATOR AND PROGRAM TRANSMITTER
TRANSMITTER 2 BUTTON PART # SP—SZZO-GEM
Program the transmitter into the receiver board.
I. Depress customer supplied “Learn“ push-button. The red LED on the receiver
board will light.
is. Depress any of the two buttons on the transmitter. The red LED on the receiver
board will go out when the new code is installed in the receiver board.
c. Test operator for proper Up and Down response from the operator to the RC
commands. T he end of travel limits must be properly adjusted before this test is run.
