That goes for anyone watching as well.• Always keep an eye on the Ghast. If it looks like it’s going to crash into you, your friends or anything else, release the throttle joystick and step out of the way.• Never disassemble or attempt to modify the Ghast.• When not in use, turn off controller and the Ghast. To avoid accidental operation, remove batteries in controller.• Operating range of controller is 25 ft. (7.6m).1. Unscrew the battery cover with a Phillips head screwdriver (not included).2. Install 3 new AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries (not included) in the orientation shown.3. Replace battery cover and tighten screw.4. Replace batteries in the controller if the Ghast does not respond after a recharge or if you see a green light flashing in the controller power switch.NOTE: For longer life, use alkaline batteries. Dispose of batteries safely.CHARGING PORT FLYING CORRECTLY: TRIM CONTROLSBefore you start flying your Ghast, it is recommended that you check if any trim adjustments are required to keep it flying correctly. Slowly push the throttle joystick up until Ghast is off the ground. If it is drifting in various directions, you can fine-tune your Ghast by adjusting the 4 TRIM CONTROLS:1. The Ghast is designed for INDOOR use, DO NOT fly outdoors.2. Give yourself plenty of flying room. Make sure there are no objects that may obstruct your flight path.3. PLAY SAFELY – Watch out for people, animals and obstacles.TAKEOFF: Place the Ghast on the ground or a flat surface. Push the throttle joystick up until the Ghast begins to take flight. Once the Ghast has reached your desired altitude, slightly pull back on the throttle joystick and keep it that position to maintain your desired altitude.SPINS: Keep the throttle joystick still to maintain the Ghast’s altitude, then slowly push the throttle joystick left or right to spin Ghast.STEERING: With the Ghast's face facing you, keep the throttle joystick still and slowly push the steering joystick. The Ghast can fly in the following directions:BACKWARD-FORWARDMAINTAINING FLIGHT AND LANDING: To increase altitude, push the throttle joystick up.To decrease altitude, slowly pull back on the throttle joystick. To land the Ghast, DO NOT RELEASE throttle joystick, slowly pull back on the throttle joystick until the Ghast begins to descend. Then hold that position. Once the the Ghast has landed, release the throttle joystick.THROTTLE TRIMPRE-FLIGHT CHECKPush the DOWN throttle trim button to decrease the throttle power and push the UP throttle trim button to increase the power.SPIN TRIMIf the Ghast spins left or right when the throttle joystick is not pushed towards the sides, press the spin trim button that is opposite the direction from the side that the Ghast is rotating towards until the spinning stops.FORWARD/BACKWARD TRIMIf the Ghast drifts forward or backward when the steering joystick is not pushed, press the DOWN trim button until it stops drifting forward or press the UP trim button until it stops drifting backward.SIDEWAYS TRIMIf the Ghast drifts left or right when the steering joystick is not pushed, press the RIGHT trim button until it stops drifting left or press the LEFT trim button until it stops drifting right.RESETTING TRIM CONTROLSTo reset trim controls, hold both the throttle and steering joysticks diagonally outwards when the Ghast is grounded. A red light on the Ghast will begin flashing, trim controls reset is complete once the red light stops flashing.NOTE: Do not release throttle and steering joysticks until the red light stops flashing. CHARGING THE GHASTLiPo (LITHIUM POLYMER) BATTERY INFORMATIONPAIRING THE GHAST WITH THE CONTROLLERGHAST MUST BE FULLY CHARGED BEFORE FIRST USE. THE RED LIGHT WILL TURN OFF WHEN CHARGING IS COMPLETE.• FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY BEFORE STORING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME (6 MONTHS OR LONGER). PERIODIC CHARGING EVERY FEW MONTHS IS RECOMMENDED TO EXTEND BATTERY LIFE WHEN NOT IN USE. DO NOT STORE NEAR HEAT OR IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.1. Open the cover on the bottom side of the controller and take out the charging cable (see ).2. Plug the charging cable firmly into the charging port on top of the Ghast (see ).3. Connect the controller to a powered USB port with the supplied USB cable (see ).4. To begin charging, flip the controller power switch from OFF ( ) to CHARGE ( ). A red light in the power switch will turn on. This indicates the Ghast is charging. (see ).5. The red light will turn off when charging is complete.6. Hold the charging plug and gently pull it out of the port when charge is complete. NEVER pull on the cable as this may cause the cable to break.7. Replace the charging cable into the controller and close the cover.8. Disconnect USB cable from the controller before play.The Ghast can perform two auto stunts which can be activated at the touch of a button!1. Hold the throttle joystick still to keep the Ghast in the air and maintain its altitude.2. Press the circular flight button ( ).3. Keep holding the throttle joystick still and the Ghast will fly in a circle at the maintained altitude for a few seconds before it returns to normal operation.4. Press the circular flight button again to repeat the circular flight stunt.NOTE: Ghast will still ascend or descend as you adjust the flight altitude with the throttle joystick. AUTO LAND!REPLACING THE PROPELLERSTROUBLESHOOTINGREPAIR & MAINTENANCE 1. Hold the throttle joystick still to keep the Ghast in the air and maintain its altitude.2. Press and hold the auto land button ( ) with your other hand. 3. Keep holding the auto land button and the throttle joystick still and the Ghast will slowly descend and land on the ground.4. Release the auto land button.IMPORTANT: DO NOT release the auto land button and throttle joystick while the Ghast is slowly descending.Q: The Ghast is not responding to the controller.• Try recharging the Ghast or install new batteries in the controller.• Turn off the Ghast and controller and pair them again.• Radio interference can affect the Ghast's performance. Interference can be caused by other R/C vehicles running on the same frequency, electrical wires, large buildings, WiFi or Bluetooth. If you experience interference, turn off the ghast and controller and relocate to a different area.Q: The propellers are spinning but the Ghast does not takeoff.• Check if the propellers are properly installed and match the correct A/B locations.• Check the propellers for damage and replace any broken propellers with the spare set included.• Increase the Ghast’s throttle by pressing the up button on the throttle trim controls.Q: The Ghast is flying out of control and drifting towards wrong directions.• Adjust the FORWARD/BACKWARD or SIDEWAYS TRIM. • For better control, make small, smooth and slow movements on the throttle and steering joysticks.• Use clear household tape to repair tears, creases or cracks. Use sparingly as added weight will affect performance.• Dirt or mud on the Ghast can affect its operation. Use a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt immediately. If the Ghast gets wet, turn it off and allow it to dry completely overnight.The Ghast comes with 1 extra set of replacement propellers (2 “A” propellers and 2 “B” propellers). If any of the Ghast’s propellers break off or become damaged, determine whether if it is the “A” propeller or “B” propeller that has to be replaced and replace them by following the steps below.• DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE GHAST'S PERMANENTLY INSTALLED LiPo (Lithium Polymer) BATTERY. IT IS A SEALED LiPo BATTERY. TO PROPERLY RECYCLE, FOLLOW LOCAL LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERY RECYCLING GUIDELINES.• DO NOT RECHARGE THE GHAST IF IT FEELS HOT. ALLOW IT TO COOL BEFORE RECHARGING.• GHAST IS ONLY TO BE CHARGED USING THE CONTROLLER/CHARGER SUPPLIED. DO NOT CHARGE THE LiPo BATTERY IN ANY OTHER BATTERY CHARGER.• DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE OR CHARGE THE GHAST IF IT SHOWS SIGNS OF LEAKAGE OR CORROSION.• IF THE GHAST AND/OR CONTROLLER ARE WET, THOROUGHLY DRY BEFORE USING OR CHARGING.• REGULARLY EXAMINE ALL WIRES AND CONNECTORS. IN THE EVENT OF DAMAGE, DISCONTINUE USE.You must pair the controller with the Ghast before you can control it. FIRST SWITCH ON THE GHAST, THEN IMMEDIATELY FLIP THE CONTROLLER POWER SWITCH TO ON ( ). WAIT FOR A FEW SECONDS AND PUSH THE THROTTLE JOYSTICK UP THEN BACK DOWN, the controller power switch will change from a flashing green light to a solid green light when pairing is complete. If the green light does not stop flashing after a few seconds, switch off the controller and Ghast and try again.bbaccdd4CONTROLLER BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATIONIn exceptional circumstances batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage:• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. • Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the product before being charged. • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. • Do not mix old and new batteries. • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. • Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity. • Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product. • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. • Dispose of battery(ies) safely. • Do not dispose of this product in a fire. The batteries inside may explode or leak.1. BBBBBBAAAAAA2. Select the required propeller and match it to the rail with the same letter. The propellers with the same letter (A or B) on them MUST be diagonally across from each other.3. Align the pin to the hole of the propeller. Make sure the molded letter (A or B) on the propeller is facing the shaft.4. Use the coin to gently push the propeller onto the pin.
