POWER CLIPUnscrew Power Clip cover screw andremove cover. Insert 4 "AA" batteries, withpolarity (+/-) as shown inside Power Clip.Replace cover.VEHICLE BATTERY INSTALLATION1. Rotate battery latch to open position.2. Insert the battery you’re using into batterycompartment and slide it away from latch.3. Make sure battery snaps securely in placeand rotate latch to locked position.4. To remove: turn latch, slide toward latchand lift out.TRANSMITTER BATTERY INSTALLATIONNOTE: Your transmitter is equipped witha special automatic ON battery-savingfeature. Just turn your vehicle ON. Then pusheither transmitter stick and you will be ableto run and control your vehicle.1. To install transmitter battery, open batterycover as shown.2. Install one 9V battery with polarity (+/-) asshown inside battery compartment.3. Replace battery cover.vehicle controlsbattery coverbattery  compartmentpower indicator lightPOWER SYSTEMSThis vehicle can operate on 2 different power systems: the Power Clip (which uses 4 "AA" batteries) or the 6.0V NiCd rechargeable batterypack. For detailed information regarding NiCd vehicle battery charging and safety, please follow the specific instructions that came with yourbattery pack and charger.
BATTERY CHARGING/CARE – 6.0V JET TURBO®BATTERY1. Plug wall pack charger into standard walloutlet.2. Click the battery pack into the charger.Make certain the battery pack is secure incharger.3. To disconnect, push the red button on theside of charger and simultaneously slidebattery pack out.4. After charging for 4 hours, the battery willfeel warm. This condition is normal forfully charged batteries.5. New battery packs must be charged for51/2 hours the first two times charged.Subsequent charges will require only 4hours. Charging the battery pack for morethan 4 hours will not give you a longerrunning time. 4 hours is all that is requiredfor a fully charged battery pack.6. Unlike alkaline batteries, where the powerloss is gradual, a NiCd (Nickel-Cadmium)battery will run for its normal running timeand then lose most of its power at once. Itis time to recharge the battery pack.7. After use, the battery pack will be hot!Wait at least 20 minutes until the batterypack cools before recharging. Recharginga warm or hot battery pack will greatlyreduce the number of times your batterypack can be recharged.RECHARGEABLE BATTERY INFORMATION: DO NOT RECHARGE BATTERY PACK IFIT’S HOT. ALLOW IT TO COOL BEFORERECHARGING. DO NOT RECHARGE A BATTERY PACKTHAT SHOWS LEAKAGE ORCORROSION. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE BATTERYPACK. THE BATTERY PACK IS A SEALEDRECHARGEABLE NICKEL-CADMIUMBATTERY. DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE BATTERYPACK IN FIRE. EXERCISE CAUTION IN HANDLING AHOT BATTERY PACK. IF BATTERY PACK AND/OR CHARGERARE WET, THOROUGHLY DRY BEFORECHARGING. DO NOT RECHARGE NON-RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. DO NOT USE THE POWER CLIP WITHTHE 6.0V JET TURBO CHARGER.Note to Adults: • Remove rechargeable batteries beforerecharging. Recharge batteries only underadult supervision.• Regularly examine for damage to the plug,enclosure and other parts. In the event ofany damage, the toy must not be used withthe transformer until the damage has beenrepaired. • This toy is not intended for children under 3years old. SAFETY INFORMATIONNote to Adults: To ensure that the child’s playis both safe and fun, please review alloperating instructions and safety rules withyour child.Safety Tips• NEVER drive your vehicle on streets!They’re for real cars!• DO NOT pick up vehicle while in motion.• Keep fingers, hair and loose clothing awayfrom the tires and the wheel hubs while thevehicle is switched ON.• Adult supervision is recommended whenthis vehicle is being operated.• To avoid accidental operation, remove allbatteries when not in use.IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION• Insure that battery polarity is correct. • Use only batteries of the typerecommended (or equivalent).• Do not mix old and new batteries.• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc),or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)batteries.• Remove used-up batteries immediately.Remove batteries if vehicle will not be usedfor a long period.• For best performance use alkaline batteries(where disposable batteries are called for).Battery life may vary depending on batterybrand.• Do not recharge non-rechargeablebatteries.• Do not short-circuit terminals.• Remove rechargeable batteries beforerecharging. Recharge batteries only underadult supervision.• Dispose of batteries safely.QUICK TIPS❶When your vehicle starts to lose power, itmay lose functions or performance. It'stime for fresh batteries (or a recharge).Your vehicle's running time may changedepending on your driving style.❷Radio interference can make your vehiclerun badly. Interference can be caused byother R/C vehicles running on the samefrequency; electrical wires; largebuildings; or CB radios. Try to stay awayfrom these!❸ Point your transmitter antenna up - notdown toward your vehicle. If your vehiclegets too far away, it won't work properly. ❹Don’t drive your vehicle in sand or throughwater or snow.❺Don’t store your vehicle near heat or indirect sunlight. Always turn switches OFFand remove all batteries for storage.SYMPTOMVehicle runs slowly or will not run.Power indicator light on transmitter does not light.Erratic operation or only short range possible.Vehicle doesn’t work after going through water orsnow.• PROBABLE CAUSE• Loose battery connection or vehicle switch not ON.• Weak or uncharged rechargeable NiCd battery (ifapplicable).• Weak AA batteries (Power Clip) or transmitter battery.• Transmitter battery weak or not connected.• Radio interference likely.• Water in the electronics area.• CORRECTION• Check battery connector and vehicle switch.• Charge battery or replace.• Replace with fresh alkaline battery.• Check connections and replace battery if required.• Recharge vehicle battery.• Vehicle will take several hours to dry.
