POWER SYSTEMSTRANSMITTER BATTERY INSTALLATIONNOTE: Your transmitter is equipped with a special automaticON battery-saving feature. Just turn your vehicle ON. Thenpush either transmitter stick and you will be able to run andcontrol your vehicle.Some transmitters include a sound feature. The sound feature canbe deactivated by turning the sound switch to the OFF position.1. To install transmitter battery, open battery door as shown.2. Install one 9V battery with polarity (+/-) as shown inside batterycompartment.3. Swing battery door closed and snap shut.If your vehicle was supplied with a battery pack and charger,please follow the specific instructions on the next page fordetailed information regarding NiCd vehicle battery chargingand safety. If your vehicle was not supplied with a battery packand charger, please follow the specific instructions that camewith your battery pack and charger.VEHICLE BATTERY INSTALLATION1. Rotate battery latch to open position.2. Insert battery pack into battery compartment and slide it awayfrom latch.3. Make sure battery pack snaps securely in place and rotatelatch to locked position.4. Please follow these instructions regardingNiCd vehicle battery charging and safety.BATTERY CHARGING/CARE – 6.0V JET TURBO®BATTERY1. Plug wall pack charger into standardwall outlet.2. Click the battery pack into the charger.Make certain the battery pack issecure in charger.3. To disconnect, push the red button onthe side of charger and simultaneouslyslide battery pack out.4. After charging, the battery will feelwarm. This condition is normal for fullycharged batteries.5. New battery packs must be chargedfor 10 hours the first two timescharged. Subsequent charges willrequire 6 hours. Charging the batterypack for more than 6 hours will not giveyou a longer running time. 6 hours is allthat is required for a fully charged bat-tery pack.6. Unlike alkaline batteries, where thepower loss is gradual, a NiCd (Nickel-Cadmium) battery will run for its normalrunning time and then lose most of itspower at once. It is time to rechargethe battery pack.7. After use, the battery pack will be hot!Wait at least 20 minutes until the bat-tery pack cools before recharging.Recharging a warm or hot battery packwill greatly reduce the number of timesyour battery pack can be recharged.RECHARGEABLE BATTERY INFORMATION: DO NOT RECHARGE BATTERY PACKIF IT’S HOT. ALLOW IT TO COOLBEFORE RECHARGING. DO NOT RECHARGE A BATTERY PACKTHAT SHOWS LEAKAGE OR CORRO-SION. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE BAT-TERY PACK. Interference can be caused by otherR/C vehicles running on the same frequency;electrical wires; large buildings; or CB radios.Try to stay away from these!❸ Point your transmitter antenna up - not downtoward your vehicle. If your vehicle gets too faraway, it won't work properly. ❹Don’t drive your vehicle in sand or throughwater or snow.❺Don’t store your vehicle near heat or in directsunlight.
