BATTERY INSTALLATIONTransmitter & Vehicle❶Use a screwdriver (not included) to openbattery door. Install 4 AA alkaline batterieswith polarity (+/-) as shown inside batterycompartment. Close battery door and tightenscrew.❷Push transmitter battery door open. Install 19V battery with polarity (+/-) as shown insidebattery compartment. Close battery door.❸Your antenna makes a carry loop! Insert itinto the holder as shown. Clip it to yourbelt...or to the bumper of your R/C vehiclefor storage.Be sure to remove the antenna fromthe holder before operating the trans-mitter. The antenna should be fullyextended for best results.II.  OPERATION❶FORWARD ❹ RIGHT TURN❷ REVERSE ❺ “IDLE”❸ LEFT TURNIII.  COOL “GAS ENGINE” SOUNDS❶ON ❸ SOUND BUTTON❷ OFFYour vehicle features a special “gas engine”sound feature. When you turn the vehicle ON,you’ll hear a cool “idle” sound. Push the lefttransmitter button forward. You’ll hear the“engine” build up the “RPMs” - just like a realgo-kart - and then your vehicle will drive for-ward. Listen for the cool “ratcheting gear”sounds as the engine “shifts” into high gear.Release the transmitter buttons and the“engine” will drop back down to “idle.”To save battery power, the “idle”sound will cut off automatically after abrief period. You’ll still be able to driveand control your vehicle by pushingthe transmitter buttons. To turn the“idle” sound back on, just turn thevehicle OFF and ON again.When the vehicle is switched ON, youcan push the “sound” button anytimeto hear the cool “engine” sounds!IV.  BATTERY INFORMATIONBATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION• Insure that battery polarity is correct. • Use only batteries of the type recommended (orequivalent).• Do not mix old and new batteries.• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), orrechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.• Remove used-up batteries immediately. Remove bat-teries if vehicle will not be used for a long period.• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.• Do not short-circuit terminals.• Remove rechargeable batteries before recharging (ifthe batteries are designed to be removable). • Recharge batteries only under adult supervision (ifthe batteries are designed to be removable).• Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batter-ies (or products containing non-replaceable batter-ies) in fire, as batteries may explode or leak.Battery Performance Note:For best performance use alkaline batteries(where disposable batteries are called for). Ifyour vehicle is supplied with standard (carbon-zinc) batteries for initial use and/or demonstra-tion purposes, we recommend replacing themwith alkaline batteries when necessary. Batterylife may vary depending on battery brand.V.  QUICK TIPS❶When your vehicle starts to lose power, itmay lose functions or performance. It's timefor fresh batteries. Your vehicle's runningtime may change depending on your drivingstyle.❷Radio interference can make your vehicle runbadly. Interference can be caused by otherR/C vehicles running on the same frequency;electrical wires; large buildings; or CB radios.Try to stay away from these!❸Point your transmitter up - not down towardyour vehicle. If your vehicle gets too faraway, it won't work properly. ❹Don't drive your vehicle in sand or throughwater or snow. If your vehicle does get wet,wipe with a towel and allow to dry complete-ly. ❺Don’t store your vehicle near heat or in directsunlight. Always turn switches OFF andremove all batteries for storage.VI.
