If on carpeting or an unstable surface, please make sure the Carpet Platform is between the carpet and the scale. Check to make sure the feet of the scale are nestled into the footholds of the Carpet Platform. b) Ensure that minimally there is fifty (50) pounds distributed on the scale surface, not to exceed four hundred (400) pounds. c) Replace the scale batteries, if necessary. d) Check to make sure the scale feet are free from debris or foreign materials (such as clothing or towels). How do I know if my weight is in pounds (lbs) or kilograms (kg)? Upon taking a measurement, the scale does two things: 1. It speaks the unit of measurement. 2. Either “kg” or “lb” displays in the lower right corner of the LCD screen when standing on the scale. Page 47 FCC WARNING STATEMENTS This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Electromagnetic Compatibility Medical electrical equipment needs special precautions regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and needs to be installed and put into service according to the information provided in this user manual. Portable and mobile radio frequency (RF) communications equipment can affect medical electrical equipment. The following table provides recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the Commander FLEX. Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the Commander FLEX The Commander FLEX is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the Commander FLEX can help prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications equipment (transmitters) and the Commander FLEX as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the communications equipment. Rated maximum output Separation distance according to frequency of transmitter power of transmitter (m) 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz d 2,3 P 0.01 0,23 0.1 0,73 2,3 10 7,3 100 23 For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer.
