Heavy, rigid enclosures
minimise wall and cavity
resonances
Stable imaging with excellent
depth
A330 in-wall with G41Powered Crossover/Amplifier.
For years, Meridian loudspeakers have
been regarded as offering the highest
performance available – the result of
careful design, the highest-quality
drivers and components, transparent
crossovers and rigid, low-coloration
enclosures in both Active and Digital
Active designs.
Now we have paid the same level of
attention to the design of loudpeakers
for installation purposes, including
in-wall, flush-mount and on-wall
configurations. These offer full Meridian
performance for systems where the use
of floor-standing models is impossible
or inappropriate.
The 200 Series in-ceiling/wall design
and the 300 Series of wall-mounting
systems allow exceptional flexibility of
configuration. This document describes
their application as remotely-driven
active in-wall/flush-mount speakers and
the G41 Powered Crossover/Amplifier
designed to power them; passive and
on-wall configurations are also available
and are detailed separately.
The 200 Series speakers are 2-way
designs with an 8in (200mm) bass
driver and pivoting tweeter, for
surface mounting in-ceiling or in-wall
applications.

The 300 Series consists of three ultraslimline systems for in-wall (surface
grille) and flush-mount (completely
hidden, eg behind wall coverings)
applications, featuring 6.5in (165mm)
metal-cone bass drivers, and a widedispersion horn-loaded ribbon tweeter
for superb performance anywhere.
Remote Active units are supplied with
the appropriate crossover card for the
G41 Active Crossover unit.

Wide dispersion for an
excellent sound throughout

Excellent clarity for movie

Cable length compensation
maximises performance

The 320 includes a single bass driver
and tweeter; the 330 adds an 8in
(200mm) Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR);
and the 350 features two bass drivers
and two ABRs.
Heavy, rigid enclosures minimise wall
and cavity excitation so you hear the
speakers, and not wall resonances.
A white paintable low-resonance grille
and frame is included, and rough-in
boxes are available.
In every case, Meridian installation
loudspeakers deliver the performance
of a stand-alone design in a discreet
enclosure with minimal visual impact
– and awesome power.
On-wall, passive and DSP configurations
are also available: contact Meridian for
details.

A200Z
The A200Z in-ceiling speaker is a 2way designs with an 8in (200mm) bass
driver, pivoting tweeter and is supplied
without crossover. The unit may also
be mounted into standard 4-inch deep
stud walls and is designed to occupy
this depth. See back page for dimensions.

Wall Speakers
The 300 Series consists of three sizes
of ultra-slimline wall speakers, each
offered in three mounting formats:
In-wall (surface grille) (“i” suffix);
Flush-mount (completely hidden, eg
behind wall coverings) (“f” suffix); and
On-wall applications (“w” suffix) (these
are covered in a separate document)
The 320 model only may also be ceilingmounted.
Each unit features 6.5in (165mm) bass
drivers, and a wide-dispersion ribbon
tweeter for superb performance
anywhere. Units are supplied with a
crossover card for the G41 Powered
Crossover system.

A 3 5 0 W

P 3 3 0 W

A white custom paintable grille and a
white cloth-covered grille are included
with the in-wall products. Roughin boxes are available for in-wall or
flush-mount applications. The flushmount version is supplied without a
grille, facilitating custom wall surface
treatments.
The 320 includes a single bass driver
and tweeter; the 330 adds an 8in
(200mm) Auxiliary Bass Radiator
(ABR); and the 350 features two
bass drivers and two ABRs. All three
models are available for passive (‘P’
prefix) and active operation (‘A’ prefix)
and for in-wall, flush-mount or onwall installation. See opposite for
dimensions.

G41 & C51
Powered
Crossovers

Two drive options are available for
Meridian Remote Active loudspeakers, both utilising the same plug-in
crossover modules supplied with the
loudspeaker. The G41 provides eight
channels of amplification which can be
configured as four pairs of treble/bass
amplification or three pairs of treble/
bass plus two channels full-range. The
G41 has a standard Meridian G-Series
enclosure.
Additional details overleaf.
The C51 offers five pairs of treble/bass
amplification and is a member of our C
Series range of custom install products.
Separate data sheet available.

Passive versions are detailed in a separate datasheet.

G41 Powered Crossover/Amplifier
The G41 powers 200 and 300 Series
installation loudspeakers in Remote
Active mode. It features active crossovers,
switched balanced and unbalanced
inputs, and employs the same lowfeedback topology as Meridian’s
G55/56/57 amplifiers, which was
developed from that used in the flagship
DSP8000.

and 350, and each module includes a
pair of LEDs that confirm the positive
and negative power-rails are operative
and identifies the crossover installed by
means of the colour combination. 200
Series units can use the crossover or can
be driven in passive configuration with
the fourth amplifier pair configured for
two channels of full-range operation.

Eight channels of approximately100W/8Ω
(180W/4Ω) RMS amplification are
provided, grouped into four pairs, each
providing bass and tweeter outputs from
a full-range input.

Thermal, short-circuit and DC fault
protection circuitry is included. The G41
has soft start, fan output and trigger
input.

The fourth channel pair can also be
configured as two full-range amplifiers
for driving a pair of passive loudspeakers,
eg for surrounds. To do this, the righthand modular crossover card is removed
and replaced by one providing additional
full-range unbalanced inputs.
Replacement labels identify the
reconfigured output terminals (see rear
panel illustration below).
The crossover modules take the form of
cards which can be inserted at the time
of installation to configure the unit for
the speakers in use, and an appropriate
card is supplied with each loudspeaker.
Modules are available for the 320, 330

A unique feature of the G41 is a cablelength compensation switch. The
amplifiers have a negative impedance to
cancel out cable effects. This dramatically
improves performance, tightening the
bass response and giving significantly
improved control and punch. Two switchselectable settings are provided, one
for cables under 10m and the other for
cables over 10m in length. A separate
rear-panel switch is provided for each
pair of amplifiers.
