VPxAccessPointUserManual  4Mesa Labs, Inc. 12100 W. 6th Avenue Lakewood, CO 80228 USATel: 303-565-2724 monitoring.mesalabs.comtechsupport@mesalabs.com2.1 FCCNOTICEWARNING:ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforClassAdigitaldevicepursuanttoPart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferencewhentheequipmentisoperatedinacommercialenvironment.Thisequipmentgenerates,uses,andcanradiateradiofrequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstruction'smanual,maycauseinterferencetoradiocommunications.Operationofthisequipmentinaresidentialareaislikelytocauseinterferenceinwhichcasetheuserwillberequiredtocorrecttheinterferenceathisownexpense.Theuseriscautionedthatchangesandmodificationsmadetotheequipmentwithoutapprovalofthemanufacturercouldvoidtheuser'sauthoritytooperatethisequipment.RFExposureNotice:TosatisfyRFexposurerequirements,thisdeviceanditsantennasmustoperatewithaseparationdistanceofatleast20cmfromallpersonsandmustnotbeco‐locatedoroperatinginconjunctionwithanyotherantennaortransmitter.2.2 IndustryCanadaUnderIndustryCanadaregulations,thisradiotransmittermayonlyoperateusinganantennaofatypeandmaximum(orlesser)gainapprovedforthetransmitterbyIndustryCanada.Toreducepotentialradiointerferencetootherusers,theantennatypeanditsgainshouldbesochosenthattheequivalentisotropicallyradiatedpower(e.i.r.p.)isnotmorethanthatnecessaryforsuccessfulcommunication.Thisradiotransmitter(IC:6891A‐VPX900AP)hasbeenapprovedbyIndustryCanadatooperatewiththeantennatypeslistedbelowwiththemaximumpermissiblegainandrequiredantennaimpedanceforeachantennatypeindicated.Antennatypesnotincludedinthislist,havingagaingreaterthanthemaximumgainindicatedforthattype,arestrictlyprohibitedforusewiththisdevice.[Immediatelyfollowingtheabovenotice,Themanufacturershallprovidealistofallantennatypesapprovedforusewiththetransmitter,indicatingthemaximumpermissiveantennagain(indBi)andrequiredimpedanceforeach.]1.
