WESROC RMS Transmitter Data Sheet for models MT-9100T, MT-9100T-XC and MT-9100T-LD Functionality The WESROC RMS Transmitter is used to measure the level inside of a liquid propane tank. The tank level and additional status information are sent via a wireless link to a WESROC RMS Base Unit. The Transmitter is designed to be installed on the outside of a liquid propane tank and be connected to a sensor ready dial on a liquid level tank gauge. Please refer to the WESROC RMS Base Unit and Transmitter Installation Guide for detailed installation instructions. WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREWS HOLDING THE TANK GAUGE HEAD IN PLACE!!! TANK DECOMPRESSION CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE!!! The Transmitter has four basic operating modes. The following table defines the operating modes and programming magnet positions for each of the modes. NOTE: To maximize battery life, Transmitters should set to the STOP mode when not in use. Operating Mode STOP INITIALIZATION TANK NUMBER NORMAL OFF Position INIT Position Service The WESROC RMS Transmitter does not contain any field serviceable components. The Transmitter’s internal batteries are not field replaceable. If a Transmitter is not functioning properly, it should be returned to the factory for service or replacement. Radio Interference This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Safety The WESROC RMS Transmitter has been certified as an Intrinsically Safe Apparatus for use in Class I, Division 1, Group D Hazardous (Classified) Locations per ANSI/UL 913 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 157.
