Type numbers into the keypad and they should appear on the remote display. Permanent Installation FIRST: Select location for Display and Keypad. In almost all Iowpower unlisenend wireless sys- tems there is a chance that some places in a particular building may be "dead spots". (Places were the dis- play will not receive the signal from the keypad.) These ”dead spots" however may only be a few inches apart. Therefore moving a display 6 inches in any direction could well make the difference between a working and nonworking system. To select the place were the system will best work for you Place the keypad in your most ideal location. Lean it aginst someting so the antenna is vertical like the display. This will establish the best signal Iink.Type several numbers in to the keypadlike 10, 20, 30. Next take the display to its most Ideal location. If the numbers appear on the display and rotate through every 3 seconds then everything is fine and you may proceed with the permant installation. If however the system is not working try moving the display or kepad to slightly different locations and repeat the test until you find a suitable setup for the system. CAUTION 24 VOLTS A.C. The installation location must bewithin 5 feet of an AC power outlet so that the cord may reach the Keypad. Place the Keypad in the enclosed plastic wall mounting bracket, if needed. Place at the desired mounting location and mark the position. Slide the Keypad out of its mountinghracket and attach bracket using screws supplied. Once screws are screwed in flush with back of bracket, slide Keypad into bracket. The Keypad is easily removed, if necessary. Installthe Keypad andconnectto AC powerl Test for operation by entering a number and observing this number in the built~in display of the Keypad. This verifies that the keypad is working. This will keep the display in the proper field of view for the observer. Type several numbers in to the keypadlike 10, 20, 30. Then hold the remote display in position and watches the numbers. If the numbers appear on the display and rotate through every 3 seconds then everything is fine and you may proceed with the permant installation The Remote Display may he hung on a screw anchored in the wall. 1904 FEATURES 0 Multiple Paging 0 Multiple Inputs / Outputs 0 User Programmable Options 0 Wireless 900 Mhz Use with: 0 Model 1940 4-diglt Display OPERATION Instructions for Use The Model 1904 Keypad has its own built-in, easye to—read display so that you can see what numbers are being entered as well as what numbers are being shown on the Remote Display.
