IntroductionAbout your headsetWith the Nokia Bluetooth HeadsetBH-610, you can handle callshands-free and listen to music onthe go. Active noise cancellation(ANC) helps you enjoy high audioquality also in noisyenvironments. The headset is easyto pair with compatible devices.The surface of this product is nickel-free.Warning:  This product maycontain small parts. turns green when the battery isfully charged.3. Disconnect the charger fromthe headset, then from the walloutlet.The fully charged battery haspower for up to 8 hours of talktime or music playing time, or upto 35 hours of standby time withactive noise cancellation (ANC)activated. To increase standbytime, deactivate ANC if you are notusing the headset. When ANC isnot activated, the standby time isup to 240 hours.After 15 minutes of charging, thebattery has power for over 4 hoursand 30 minutes of talk or musicplaying time.When the battery charge is low,the headset beeps every 5minutes and the red indicatorlight flashes.If you activate ANC withoutswitching the headset on, whenthe battery charge is low, theheadset doesn't beep and the redindicator light stays on.Check the battery charge — With your headset connected toyour mobile device, press  . Agreen light indicates a sufficientcharge level. If the light is yellow,you may need to recharge thebattery soon. If the light is red,recharge the battery.Switch the headset on or offTo switch the headset on, pressand hold   for 2 seconds. Theheadset beeps, and a greenindicator light flashes once. the paired devices list, pairingmode is automatically activated.To switch the headset off, pressand hold   for 4 seconds. Theheadset beeps, and a red indicatorlight flashes once.If the headset is not connected toa device within 30 minutes, itswitches off.Wear the headsetYou can attach the headset to yourclothing using the clip, or carry iton your neck using the neck strap.To attach the neck strap, slide theearpiece cable into the neck strapclip, and twist the cable 90degrees to lock it into place.The headset is provided withdifferent-sized rubber earpieces.Select the ones that fit you best.Make sure you insert the earpiecemarked with L into your left earand the one marked with R intoyour right ear.Use active noisecancellation (ANC)Active noise cancellation (ANC)reduces background noise, so youcan enjoy high audio quality alsoin noisy environments. Make callsMake and receive callsMake a call —  When the headsetis connected to your compatiblemobile device, make a callnormally using your mobiledevice.Answer or end a call —  Press.Mute or unmute themicrophone —  Press  .Reject a call —  Press   twice.You can redial the number you lastcalled or use your voice to make acall, if your mobile devicesupports these features with theheadset.Redial the last callednumber —  When no call is inprogress, press   twice.Activate voice dialling —  Whenno call is in progress, press andhold   for 2 seconds, andfollow the instructions in the userguide of your mobile device.Change the volumeUse the volume keys. Pair the devicePair and connect theheadsetBefore using the headset with acompatible device for the firsttime, you must pair and connectthem.Pair the headset manually1. Make sure the headset isswitched off.2. Switch the compatible deviceon, and activate the Bluetoothfeature on the device.3. Switch the headset on. If youhave previously paired yourheadset with another device,press   for 5 seconds. Theblue indicator light starts toflash quickly.4. Set your device to search forBluetooth devices. For details,see the user guide of thedevice.5. On your device, select theheadset from the list of founddevices.6. If required, enter the passcode0000.In some devices, you may need tomake the connection separatelyafter pairing.Pair and connect theheadset using NFCWith Near Field Communication(NFC), you can pair and connectyour headset to your compatibledevice easily. You can alsodisconnect the headset using NFC.For details on NFC, see the userguide of the device.If the device does not support NFC,pair the headset manually.Connect the headset toyour deviceWhen you switch your headset on,it automatically connects to thelast device it was used with. If thelast connected device is notavailable, the headset tries toconnect to the next device on itspaired devices list.If your mobile device does notsupport the A2DP profile forlistening to music, you canseparately pair the headset with amusic player that supports thisprofile. If you have paired andconnected the headset to yourmobile device, disconnect theheadset from it before pairing theheadset with the music player.The paired devices list on yourheadset can contain up to 8devices. You can connect theheadset to 2 compatible devicesat the same time: 1 mobile deviceand 1 music player.Connect the headset to the lastused device manually —  If noother device is connected, pressand hold   for 2 seconds. Listen to musicPlay musicThe headset must be paired andconnected to a mobile device thatsupports the A2DP Bluetoothprofile and has a music playerfeature, or to a compatible musicplayer that supports this profile.Warning:  Continuousexposure to high volume maydamage your hearing. When you are listening to musicwith bass or treble active, theindicator light of the respectivekey blinks.SettingsSwitch the indicator lightsoffWhen the headset is connected toa device, press and hold   andthe volume down key for 5seconds. The yellow indicatorlight flashes once. Some indicatorlights may still be shown, forexample, when the battery chargeis low.Switch the lights back on — Press and hold   and thevolume up key for 5 seconds. Thegreen indicator light flashes once.Clear the pairingsSwitch the headset off, and pressand hold   for 9 seconds.The headset beeps twice, and thered and green indicator lightsalternate. After the settings arecleared, pairing mode is activated.TroubleshootingCannot connect the headset to acompatible device? Product and safety informationBattery and chargerinformationThis device has an internal,nonremovable, rechargeablebattery. Do not attempt to removethe battery from the device as youmay damage the device.This device is intended for use whensupplied with power from thefollowing chargers: AC-3, AC-4, AC-5,AC-8, AC-15, and DC-4. The exactcharger model number may varydepending on the type of plug. Theplug variant is identified by one ofthe following: E, X, AR, U, A, C, K, or B.The battery can be charged anddischarged hundreds of times, but itwill eventually wear out.Talk and standby times are estimatesonly. Actual times are affected by, forexample, device settings, featuresbeing used, battery condition, andtemperature.If the battery has not been used fora long time, to begin charging, youmay need to connect the charger,then disconnect and reconnect it.If the battery is completelydischarged, it may take severalminutes before the chargingindicator is displayed.When your charger is not in use,unplug it from the electrical plug andthe device. Do not leave a fullycharged battery connected to acharger, as overcharging mayshorten the battery’s lifetime.
