PositioningAbout GPSThe coordinates in the GPS are expressed in the degrees anddecimal degrees format using the international WGS-84coordinate system. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is operated by thegovernment of the United States, which is solely responsiblefor its accuracy and maintenance. The accuracy of locationdata can be affected by adjustments to GPS satellites madeby the United States government and is subject to changewith the United States Department of Defense civil GPS policyand the Federal Radionavigation Plan. Accuracy can also beaffected by poor satellite geometry. Availability and qualityof GPS signals may be affected by your location, buildings, natural obstacles, and weather conditions. GPS signals maynot be available inside buildings or underground and may beimpaired by materials such as concrete and metal.GPS should not be used for precise location measurement, and you should never rely solely on location data from theGPS receiver and cellular radio networks for positioning ornavigation.Different positioning methods can be enabled or disabled inpositioning settings.Assisted GPS (A-GPS)Your device also supports assisted GPS (A-GPS).A-GPS is a network service.Assisted GPS (A-GPS) is used to retrieve assistance data overa packet data connection, which assists in calculating thecoordinates of your current location when your device isreceiving signals from satellites. When you activate A-GPS, your device receives useful satelliteinformation from an assistance data server over the cellularnetwork. ABluetooth connection can be used to send images, videos, text, business cards, calendar notes, or to connect wirelesslyto devices that use Bluetooth technology.Since devices using Bluetooth technology communicateusing radio waves, your device and the other devices do notneed to be in direct line-of-sight. The two devices only needto be within a maximum of 10 metres of each other, althoughthe connection can be subject to interference fromobstructions such as walls or other electronic devices.Several Bluetooth connections can be active at a time. Forexample, if your device is connected to a headset, you canalso transfer files to another compatible device at the sametime. This device is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 2.0 +EDR supporting the following profiles: Advanced AudioDistribution, Audio/Video Remote Control, Basic Imaging,Connectivity59CyanCyanMagentaMagentaYellowYellowBlackBlack

The plugvariant is identified by one of the following: E, EB, X, AR, U, A,C, K, or UB.The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds oftimes, but it will eventually wear out. When the talk andstandby times are noticeably shorter than normal, replacethe battery. Use only Nokia approved batteries, and rechargeyour battery only with Nokia approved chargers designatedfor this device. If a battery is being used for the first time or if the batteryhas not been used for a prolonged period, it may be necessaryto connect the charger, then disconnect and reconnect it tobegin charging the battery. If the battery is completelydischarged, it may take several minutes before the chargingindicator appears on the display or before any calls can bemade.Safe removal. Always switch the device off and disconnect thecharger before removing the battery.Proper charging. Unplug the charger from the electrical plugand the device when not in use. Do not leave a fully chargedbattery connected to a charger, since overcharging mayshorten its lifetime. If left unused, a fully charged battery willlose its charge over time.Battery66CyanCyanMagentaMagentaYellowYellowBlackBlack
Avoid extreme temperatures. Always try to keep the batterybetween 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). Extremetemperatures reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery.A device with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily.Battery performance is particularly limited in temperatureswell below freezing.Do not short-circuit. Accidental short-circuiting can occurwhen a metallic object such as a coin, clip, or pen causesdirect connection of the positive (+) and negative (-)terminals of the battery. (These look like metal strips on thebattery.) This might happen, for example, when you carry aspare battery in your pocket or purse. Short-circuiting theterminals may damage the battery or the connecting object.Disposal. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they mayexplode. It isdesigned not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio wavesrecommended by international guidelines. These guidelineswere developed by the independent scientific organisationICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure theprotection of all persons, regardless of age and health. The exposure guidelines for mobile devices employ a unit ofmeasurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate or SAR.The SAR limit stated in the ICNIRP guidelines is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over 10 grams of tissue. Tests forSAR are conducted using standard operating positions withthe device transmitting at its highest certified power level inall tested frequency bands. The actual SAR level of anoperating device can be below the maximum value becausethe device is designed to use only the power required to reachthe network. That amount changes depending on a numberof factors such as how close you are to a network base station. The highest SAR value under the ICNIRP guidelines for use ofthe device at the ear is 1.03 W/kg.Use of device accessories may result in different SAR values.SAR values may vary depending on national reporting andtesting requirements and the network band. Additional SARinformation may be provided under product information atwww.nokia.com.Your mobile device is also designed to meet the requirementsfor exposure to radio waves established by the FederalCommunications Commission (USA) and Industry Canada. These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged overone gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported under thisAdditional safety information71CyanCyanMagentaMagentaYellowYellowBlackBlack
standard during product certification for use at the ear is 1.28W/kg and when properly worn on the body is 0.70 W/kg.Additional safety information72CyanCyanMagentaMagentaYellowYellowBlackBlack
