1. Press the release button at the back of the phone, and carefully lift and remove the back cover.2. If the battery is in the phone, lift it out.3. Open the SIM holder, and slide the SIM into the holder, contact area face down. Close the holder,and lock it into place.4. Line up the battery contacts, and put the battery in.5. Insert the second SIM into the SIM2 slot with the contact area face down. Push the SIM in until itlocks into place. Tip: To remove the SIM, push the card in until it's released, then pull it out.Tip: You can use 2G or 3G SIMs in both SIM1 and SIM2 slots. While 3G network is active on oneSIM, the other supports only 2G network.Both SIM cards are available at the same time when the device is not being used, but while one SIMcard is active, for example, making a call, the other is unavailable.6. Push the memory card into the memory card slot until it locks into place.Tip: To remove the memory card, push it in until it's released, then pull it out.Important: Do not remove the memory card when an app is using it. Doing so may damage thememory card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.7. Replace the back cover.8. To switch on, press and hold the power key.Note: Switch the device off and disconnect the charger and any other device before removingany covers. Charge the batteryYour battery has been partially charged at the factory, but you may need to recharge it before youcan use your phone.1. Plug the charger into a wall outlet.2. Connect the charger to the phone. When done, unplug the charger from the phone, then from thewall outlet.If the battery is completely discharged, it may take several minutes before the charging indicator isdisplayed or before any calls can be made.Tip: You can use USB charging when a wall outlet is not available. Data can be transferred whilecharging the device. The efficiency of USB charging power varies significantly, and it may takea long time for charging to start and the device to start functioning.Set which SIM card to useBy default, your phone asks you which SIM to use for the connection. You can also set the defaultSIM for calls or messaging. If you name your SIMs, you can see at a glance which is, for example, forwork or personal use.Tap Settings > Dual SIM.1. Switch Always ask to Off .2. Select which SIM to use for which connection.Availability of SIMs• If you only have one SIM, put it into the SIM1 holder. Some features may only be available with theSIM in the SIM1 holder.• When you set one SIM to be used for outgoing calls or messages, or for data connections, theother SIM can still receive calls or messages.• When one SIM is having an active connection, the other SIM is not available.Rename SIMTap SIM settings, and type in the new name under the card you want to name.Copy contacts from your old phoneGet all your contacts to your new phone in one go.Your old phone must have Bluetooth, and the contacts must be stored in the phone memory, not onthe SIM.1. Move the phones close to each other. Characters with accents, other marks, or some language options, take more space, and limit thenumber of characters that can be sent in a single message.Mail for ExchangeWould you like to have your work mail at hand, whether you are sitting by your computer or on thego with your phone? You can sync the important content between your phone and a MicrosoftExchange server.Mail for Exchange can be set up only if your company has a Microsoft Exchange server. In addition,your company IT administrator must have activated Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for your account.Before starting the setup, make sure you have the following:• A corporate mail address• Your Exchange server name (contact your company IT department)• Your network domain name (contact your company IT department)• Your office network passwordDepending on the Exchange server configuration, you may need to type in additional info during thesetup. If you don't know the correct info, contact your company IT department.During the setup, you can define how often you want your phone to sync the content with the server.With Mail for Exchange, it may be mandatory to use the lock code.Use of the Mail for Exchange is limited to over-the-air synchronisation of PIM information betweenthe Nokia device and the authorised Microsoft Exchange server.This device is able to communicate with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync enabled servers.
