Route rBOA ARD Groov G ve 5Hn Qu uick Setu up Guide and Warrranty In nformatio on The e RouterBOAR RD Groove 5H Hn comes preinstalled in ann outdoor case e, with a built‐in 5GHz 802 2.11a/n wireleess, an N‐Male antenna connector, and one 10/100 Ethernet conne ector which sup pports MDI‐X auto detectio on. The device e is packaged w with a 24V po ower adapter, a PoE injectoor and two o mounting lo oops. Fiirst use 1. 2. 3. Connecct the antennaa to the N‐Male connector Twist to o open the Grroove case, co onnect an Etheernet cable to o the Ethernett port Use thee provided rub bber insulatorr to put on thee Ethernet cab ble, and push it into the casse openingg, so that the opening is tigghtly closed The Gro oove accepts 8‐30V Passive e PoE from a PPoE injector The deffault IP address from Ether1 is 192.168.888.1 for configguration Username is admin and a there is no password 4. 5. Po owering The e board accep pts powering from the Etherrnet port (Passsive PoE): Ethe ernet port acc cepts passive Power over Ethernet 8-30 0V DC. Bo ooting prrocess Thiis device doessn't come fitteed with a Seria al Port connecctor, so initial connection has h to be donee via the e Ethernet cab ble, using thee MikroTik Win nbox utility. W Winbox should d be used to connect to thee deffault IP address of 192.168.88.1 with the e username addmin and no password. In case IP connection is not avvailable, Winb box can also bbe used to con nnect to the MAC M address oof the device. Mounting If you y wish to tigghten the Gro oove to a pole,, you can do itt with the pro ovided mounting loops. Thee Groove comes bundled with two o mounting lo oops ‐ guide th he loops around the Groovve though the provided edge markings, aand around the pole where it will be mounted d. You should avoid connectting a loose Etthernet cable to the Ethern net port, securre the cable to a wall or thee ded to secure the t Ethernet ccable less than 2m from the pole, so that thee cable weightt is not pullingg the port. It iss recommend oove device. TThis is to ensu ure that the ca able doesn't ddamage the po ort by it's weig ght, or doesn''t fall out. Gro Ex xpansion n Slots an nd Ports Built in 5G GHz 802.11a//n wireless, 1x x1 MIMO, stattion mode One 10/1 100 Ethernet port, supporting automaticc cross/straight cable corre ection (Auto M MDI/X), so yo ou can use eitther straight o or cross-over cable for con nnecting to otther network devices. Must short circuit the metallic sides of the hole (with a screwdriver, for example) and boot the device. Hold screwdriver in place until RouterOS configuration is cleared. RouterBOOT reset button (access through the plastic door) has two functions: Hold this button during boot time until LED light starts flashing, release the button to reset RouterOS configuration (same result as with reset hole) Hold this button during boot time longer, until LED turns off, then release it to make the device look for Netinstall servers.
