1. APPLICATIONS
These specifications describe the ALVH ENTRANCE READER “ALVHDCUDP” which is a
reading device for exclusive use of the card key for Hotel Card Lock “ALVH” and manage the
guest room and the facilities of the Hotel.
These specifications cover the ALVH ENTRANCE READER and if use with exclusive controller
(made by NEXUS), it enable to output relay signal to the automatic door and control board of the
electric key.
2. SUMMARY
2-1. ALVH ENTRANCE READER
(1) This is a card reader for exclusive use of the entrance of the Hotel Card Lock “ALVH”, which
reads key data of the card key and output the voltage signal.
(2) When a contact less IC card issued by card issuing machine installed in the front desk is
used, it collates the various information such as a Hotel cord and room number with stored
data. If the card is confirmed valid, it output the signal to the exclusive controller.

4. DETAIL OF FUNCTION
(1) Bring a card key close to the ALVH ENTRANCE READER.
(2) The ALVH ENTRANCE READER reads the key data and if the data accords with the
database, voltage signal is sent to the exclusive controller.
Collation data:
1) Hotel cord
2) Validity of the card key. ( from check-in time to check-out time )
3) Room number of the card key.
(3) If the card key is valid, the LED lights green. In case of invalid card key, the LED lights red.

5-1. USA-Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
This unit has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable

conditions:
(1) This unit may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This unit must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
