Accessories and design can be changed without prior notice. Safety Instruction Road safety at all times Using your mobile phone while driving can distract you and increase the possibility of an accident. Always drive safely and follow local laws. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Install and Charging - After attaching clip to GBC-1000, please clip on the sun visor at the right place where the human body detector sensor works well in your car. * The detecting sensor works within 80 degree and 1 meter.If the detecting sensor does not perceive any motion in the car or the driver gets off the car, the power of hands-free will be off and Bluetooth connection will be disconnected. * If you use the sun visor to block sun light, you can not use hands-free. * The sensing degree may be variable, depending from car models, so, please clip on GBC-1000 in the middle of the sun visor if possible. - Charging by USB cable charger Charging by USB type car charger Make sure that your MobiFren GBC-1000 is fully charged before you use it for the first time. * The LED shows ‘RED’ during charging and will turn ‘BLUE’ when fully charged. While using USB hub, charging may not work well, due to low current. 2. About your MobiFren GBC-1000 (1) LED Light - Blue indicates operating mode (connected, active, standby or fully charged ) - Red indicates battery condition (low level or charging status) (2) Volume Button ( + / - ) + : Volume Up - : Volume Down (3) Charging socket (4) Multi Function Button ( MFB) (5) Power switch ( On/Off ) (6) Human body detector sensor (7) 3.5Ø, 3 pole jack :Jack for earphone (8) Microphone (9) Speaker 3. Specifications • Talk time : About 32 hours • Standby time : About 1,600 hours (75days) • Standby time at sleep mode : About 24 months • Rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery • Charging time : About 2.5 hours • Size : 118 x 62 x 9.5mm • Weight : 71g • Speaker Output : Max 3W • Operating range : within 10M • Support profiles : Headset Profile, Handsfree Profile • Bluetooth specification : Version 2.1 + EDR * Talk and standby time may be variable, depending on the devices or connecting conditions. 4. Getting started with your MobiFren MobiFren GBC-1000 is very easy to use. -Turning your hands-free car kit on and off : • To turn on your hands-free car kit, please locate power switch ON. Power on * On first purchasing, the hands-free car kit enters into paring mode automatically when the power is on. * If the human body sensor detects a driver when the power is on, the hands-free car kit is activated automatically. * If the human body detector sensor does not detect a driver when the power is on, the hands-free car kit becomes sleep mode automatically after 3 minutes. * The human body detector sensor does not work during call. • To turn off your hands-free car kit, please locate the power switch OFF. Power off * During call, if you move the power switch to OFF, the call transfers from hands-free car kit to your mobile phone. * If you do not use GBC-1000 for a long time, please locate the power switch at off position. - Pairing your GBC-1000 to your mobile phone : < Manual pairing > * If you do not pair to mobile phone within 3 minutes, the hands-free car kit will be out of pairing mode 1.1If you turn on the power, it enters into “Pairing mode”.The blue LED is continuously on.Then, you can pair the hands-free car kit to your mobi le phone, after activating Bluetooth function in your mobile phone. 1.2 If you press MFB button for around 6 seconds at the status power-on, the hands-free car kit enters into pairing mode.The blue LED is continuously on. Then, you can pair the hands-free car kit to your mobile phone, after activating Bluetooth function in your mobile phone. Press for about 6 seconds. < Proximity Auto Pairing > ( What is the Proximity Auto Pairing? ) It’s easy pairing way for the users. If you locate your mobile phone to the hands-free car kit within 10cm, then, it pairs automatically. ※ Some mobile phones may not support to this feature. If you press MFB button for about 1 second at “Manual pairing mode”, it converts to “Proximity Auto Pairing mode”. The blue and red LED gli tters alternately. Then, you can pair the hands-free car kit to the device. Proximity pairing is effective within 45 seconds, and if the mobile phone request Pin code, press “0000 (four zeros)”.But, if the device fails within 45 seconds, it changes to manual pairing.In this case, please pair it according to < Manual pairing > w ay. If the pairing is successful, the hands-free car kit changes to ready to use. Press for 1 second at “Manual Pairing mode” 2. Now, please prepare “Pairing mode” in your mobile phone. ( In case of the hands-free car kit is manual pairing mode which the blue LED is continuously on. ) Pairing may be different from mobile models. Please refer to your mobile phone's manual. ①② Turn Bluetooth on your mobile phone and search for Bluetooth devices according to its User Manual instructions. This usually involves going to ‘setup’ menu, ‘connect’ or ‘Bluetooth’ menu on your phone and select to ‘find’ or ‘add’ a new Bluetooth device. ( Please refer to your “ Mobile manual” ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------③ Select the hands-free ( it will appear as “MobiFren GBC-1000” ) from the searched devices. ④ Enter passkey( PIN code ) 0000 ( four zeros) to pair the hands-free car kit to your mobile phone. * Some mobile phones do not need to enter pin code. ⑤ When you enter pin code, it shows that “MobiFren GBC-1000” is connecting in your mobile and blue light of the hands-free car kit glitters 5 times,and, the mobile phone shows that the hands-free car kit is paired to mobile phone. ⑥ Your MobiFren is now ready to use. ( Blue light glitters every 3 second. ). * Depending on mobile phone, the pairing procedure may be different. ( Please refer to your mobile’s user manual for further information) -Using your MobiFren hands-free car kit : Some functions of the below may be different from Bluetooth devices. ( mobile phone/ laptop models or manufacturers.) 1. Multi Point Setting * It's possible to pair up to 8 Bluetooth enabled devices, and can use up to 2 devices. To connect other Bluetooth device, please use it, after disconnecting the device which was connected previously. * Multi Point can make the hands-free car kit to connect 2 devices at the same time. For instance, GBC-1000 can be connected to 2 mobile phones or connected to mobile phone and other Bluetooth device like as a mobile phone, or other mobile Bluetooth device, etc. < Setting Multi point > Please pair the hands-free car kit to the devices as you want to pair for multi point, according to the pairing procedure. ( Refer to page ? ) . - To use multi point a. At the status of connecting two devices, if there’s incoming call, press the MFB button to answer a call. b. At the status of connecting two mobile phones, if you press the MFB button, then, you can give a call to the number that called recently. 2. Answering a call - Press the MFB button shortly to answer a call if there’s incoming call. 3. Ending a call - Press the MFB shortly to end a call 4. Making a call - If you press “Send” button in your mobile phone, some mobile phone will be connected to hands-free car kit automatically, depending o n phone models or setting status. - If the mobile phone does not support the above feature, then, give MFB button a short press, after you press the number in mobile phone. 5. Rejecting a call - To reject an incoming call, give the MFB button a long press till the hands free car kit beeps. - Depending on your phone setting, the person who calls you may be forwarded to your voice-mail service or voice message. 6. Voice Dialing - Press the MFB button when you hear the beep from the hands free car kit, if your mobile phone supports this voice dialing feature. Please refer to your phone’s manual for more information about using this feature. 7. Redialing the last number - If you press the MFB button shortly, your mobile phone shows the last number that you called. Then, press the MFB button shortly again to redial the last number. ( This feature depends on mobile phone models. ) 8.Adjusting Volume - With (+) / (-) button, you can adjust the speaker volume. 9. MIC mute - During talk, if you press (+) or (-) button for more than 1 second, the MIC will be mute. - To turn on MIC again, press (+) or (-) button for more than 1 second. * If the MIC is mute, it beeps every 5 second. 10. Waiting a call and put a call on hold - This feature allows you to put a call on hold during conversation and answer a waiting call. - Give the MFB button a long press, till you hear beep from the car kit, to put an active call on hold and answer a waiting call. - Give the MFB button a long press to switch between two calls. - Just press MFB shortly to end a call. 11. Connecting to the paired devices - Auto connection: When you power on the hands-free car kit, it connects to the device automatically which was connected to the latest. - Simple connection: If it is already paired, but is not connected, just press MFB button to connect. 12 . Turn On / Off LED display Turn off LED :To turn off LED, give a long press volume ( + ) and volume ( - ) button simultaneously, more than 1 second, when the LED is on. Turn on LED : To turn on LED, give a long press volume (+) and volume (-) button simultaneously, more than 1 second, when the LED is off. * Even when the LED is off, the LED displays at some status, like as receiving a call, turn on and off the hands-free. * If you turn off the hands-free, this setting will be released automatically. 13. Hands-free Initialization -Press Vol(+)▶Vol(-)▶Vol(+)▶Vol(-)▶MFB button shortly in order, then, GBC-1000 is power-on again. The LED shows red and blue, and it will be initialized to the point of purchasing. 5. What does LED color mean? Status LED indication Active on a call Standby mode battery is running low Charging Fully charged Pairing mode Blinks blue light every 8 second Blinks blue light every 3 second Blinks red light Red light ON Blue light ON Blue light ON --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------6. Troubleshooting & FAQ * I hear crackling noises For the best call quality, please locate your mobile phone near to hands-free car kit. * I cannot hear anything “Increase the volume of the hands-free car kit” “Ensure that the hands-free car kit is paired with the phone.” “Make sure that the phone is connected to the hands-free car kit.” If the hands-free car kit fails to connect either when you pressed MFB or through your mobile phone’s Bluetooth menu, follow the pairing procedure. * I have problems with pairing even though my phone indicates otherwise. Please delete the hands-free paired in your mobile and pair the hands-free again. Please refer to set up “Pairing mode”, Page 8 and 9 . * Will the MobiFren GBC-1000 work with other Bluetooth equipment? The MobiFren GBC-1000 is designed to work with Bluetooth mobile phones, which are built in. It can also work with other Bluetooth devices that are compliant with Bluetooth version 1.1/ 1.2/ 2.0/2.1+EDR and that supp ort HSP and HFP. * When you use the hands-free in the car, the hands-free can be affected by the internal noise. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------8. Handle MobiFren with care • Always store the MobiFren GBC-1000 with the power off and protect safely when it’s not in use for long hours. • Avoid storage at high and low temperature. This can affect the battery life and may be the cause of malfunction. High temperature may also degrade performance. • Do not expose the MobiFren GBC-1000 to rain or other liquids. • Prevent children or pets to bite or suck this headset. • Please do not disassemble at user’s option. • Please make sure to use certified charger. (USB charging rated voltage : 5V ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------9. Glossary 1) Bluetooth is a radio technology that connects devices, such as mobile phones and hands-free, without wires or cords over a short distance ( approximately 30 feet ) Get more information at www.bluetooth.com 2) Bluetooth profiles are the different ways in which Bluetooth devices communicate with HSP : Headset Profile HFP : Hands-free Profile 3) Pairing of devices create a unique and encrypted link between two Bluetooth devices and let them communicate with each other. Bluetooth d evices will not work if the devices are not paired. 4) Passkey or PIN is a code in numbers, which you have to enter on your mobile phone to pair it with your MobiFren GBC-1000. This makes your phone and the MobiFren GBC-1000 to recognize other and automatically work together. 5) ‘Standby Mode’ is when the MobiFren GBC-1000 is passively waiting for a call. When you end a call on your mobile phone, the hands-free car kit goes into standby mode. 10. Warranty The conditions and our responsibilities under this warranty are as follows : • The warranty is limited to the original purchaser. • A copy of your receipt or other proof of purchase is required. • The warranty is void if the serial number, date code label or product label is removed, or if the product has been subject to physical abuse, improper installation, modification, or repair by unauthorized third parties. • The responsibility of MobiFren ( MobiSolution ) products shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the product at its sole discretion. • Any implied warranty on MobiFren ( MobiSolution ) products is limited to one year from the date of purchase on all parts, including any cord and connector. But, battery warranty is limited to 6 months. • Specifically exempt from any warranty are limited-life consumable components subjectto normal wear and tear, such as microphone windscreens, ear cushions, decorative finishes, batteries, and other accessories. • MobiFren ( MobiSolution ) is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of any MobiFren ( MobiSolution ) product. • This warranty gives you specific rights and you may have other rights which vary from area to area. • Unless otherwise instructed in the User Manual, the user may not, under any circumstances, attempt to perform service, adjustments or repairs on this unit, whether in or out of warranty.
