Getting started with your MobiFren• Charging your MobiFren GBH-S500(1) Charging your MobiFren GBH-S500 Make sure that your MobiFren GBH-S500 is fully charged before you use it. * The LED shows ‘RED’ during charging and will turn ‘BLUE’ when fully charged. ※While using USB hub, charging may not work well, due to low current.(2) Pairing your MobiFren GBH-S500 with mobile phone * Before you use your Mobifren GBH-S500, you need to pair it with your mobile phone or Bluetooth enabled devices. Please pair the headset with the following 2 pairing modes. 1. Smart pairingWait ! Make sure to set < Smart pairing mode > before pairing.At power o, press MFB button for 6 seconds to enter into < Smart pairing mode >, then, you can hear ( smart paring ~ ). The blue and red LED glitters alternately and the headset becomes < Smart pairing mode >.How to do. Way①Pairing headset to your mobile phone automatically - Activate Bluetooth in your mobile setting. - Like as the below image, click the box to allow searching my device. Then, the pairing will be completed within seconds.※ It may be dierent, depending on mobile phones. < Smart pairing? > It’s easy pairing way for the users. If you locate the device (mobile phone) to the headset within 10cm, then, it pairs automatically. ※ Some mobile phones may not support to this feature.
10(1) At manual pairing mode, please activate Bluetooth function in your mobile phone, according to phone manual and search the headset.(2) Select " GBH-S500" from the searched device. Then, it shows " Pairing" ( Some mobile phone needs pass key (PIN), then enter 0000. )(3) If pairing is successful, it shows that "Connected to Phone and Media Audio" and blue LED glitters 5 times. Now, it's ready to use.※Please visit to www.mobifren.com for more information.Way②Automatic pairing by Android App. - Please download and install < MobiFren_S5 > application at Google Play Store if your mobile phone is Android smart phone. It will guide you to pair GBH-S500 to your mobile easily. Please go into <1. Smart Pairing > menu of the application.2. Manual pairingWait ! Please make sure to set < Manual pairing mode > before pairing.At the status of < Smart pairing mode>, please MFB button for 1 second to enter into manual pairing mode. Then, you can hear (Pairing mode~). The blue LED is continuously on and the headset becomes < Manual pairing mode >.※Pairing process may be dierent from mobile phone makers. 11(3) Turning your headset on and off ( Fig. 1. Turn on / off the headset ) • To turn on your headset, press and hold the MFB for around 2 seconds. Then, the power is on and ‘Blue’ blinks on LED. (On rst purchasing, the headset enters pairing mode automatically when the power is on ) • To turn o your headset, press and hold the MFB for around 4 seconds. Then, ‘Purple’ blinks on LED and power is o.(4) Using your MobiFren Headset • Some functions of the below may be dierent from mobile phone models or mobile manufacturers.  1. Answering a call - When receiving a call, you can answer the call by pressing MFB. - Vibration on incoming call : There's vibration in every 2 second, if there's incoming call. At standby mode, if you press (+) and (-) button for a second simultaneously, you can set on/o for vibration. 2. Ending a call - Press the MFB shortly to end a call 3. Rejecting a call - To reject an incoming call, give the MFB button a long press till the phone bell stops. 4. Converting a call - During call by mobile phone, if you press MFB button, the call converts to headset. (If you want to convert to mobile phone again, please use phone menu.) 5. Voice Dialing - Press the MFB shortly for 2 times, if your mobile phone supports this voice dialing feature. - Please review your phone’s user manual for more information about using this feature

Waiting a call and put a call on hold - This feature allows you to put a call on hold during conversation and answer a waiting call. - Give the MFB a long press (press approximately 1 second) to put an active call on hold and answer a waiting call. - Give the MFB a long press to switch between two calls - Just press MFB shortly to end a call. 7. Adjusting Volume - With (+) / (-) button, you can control the volume of receiving voice and music. 8. Microphone mute - While talking, if you press (+) or (-) button for about 1 second, the mic will be mute - During mute, it will be released if you press (+) or (-) button for about 1 second. 9. Control microphone volume - On purchasing, the mic volume level sets in the middle from the 5 levels - Can be adjusted by user's mobile phone. 13 10. Playing music - On rst purchasing, the volume level is set in the middle (8 level) of all 15 levels. (Please adjust volume by (+) / (-) button in GBH-S500.) - Button details for playing music • press MFB shortly : play / pause • give a long press MFB : stop • press + button shortly : volume up • press - button shortly : volume down • give a long press + button : next song • give a long press - button : previous song 11. Change EQ mode while playing music - While listening music, if you press MFB and + button for about 4 seconds, the music mode will be changed Normal ▶ Don Spike mode ▶ Bass boost ▶ Ultra bass ▶ Cinema mode - While listening music, if you press MFB and (-) button for about 4 seconds, the music mode will be changed Cinema mode ▶ Ultra bass ▶ Bass boost ▶ Don Spike ▶ Normal - If you turn on the power again, the Cinema mode will be changed to Normal mode. 11. Change EQ mode while playing music - While listening music, if you press MFB and + button for about 4 seconds, the music mode will be changed Normal ▶ Bass boost ▶ Ultra bass ▶ Cinema mode - While listening music, if you press MFB and (-) button for about 4 seconds, the music mode will be changed Cinema mode ▶ Ultra bass▶Bass boost ▶Cinema mode - If you turn on the power again, the Cinema mode will be changed to Normal mode.
14 12. Multi point setting ※ It's possible to pair up to 8 Bluetooth enabled devices, and can use up to 2 devices. To connect other Bluetooth device, please use it, after disconnecting the device which was connected previously. ※ Multi Point can make the headset to connect 2 devices at the same time. For instance, GBH-S500 can be connected to 2 mobile phones or connected to mobile phone and other Bluetooth device like as a mobile phone, MP3 player or laptop computer, etc. - Setting Multi point Please pair the headset to the devices as you want to pair for multi point, according to the pairing procedure. ( Refer to pairing process. ) ※ After completing pairing, then you can use 2 devices simultaneously. - To use multi point a. At the status of connecting two mobile phones, if there’s incoming call, press MFB to answer a call. b. At the status of connecting two devices, if you press MFB, then, you can listen the music from the device that was connected lately. 13. Connecting to the paired devices - When you power on the headset, it connects to the device automatically which was connected to the latest. - If it is already paired, but is not connected, just press MFB button to connect. 14. Alarm for loss prevention - If your mobile phone is out of range from the headset, the headset alarms you with vibration to prevent loss. - During alarm, please press MFB to stop vibration. Please refer to set up “Pairing mode”, Page 7, 8, 9, 10.
15 15. Using Android Application - For more convenient and easy use of the headset, please download < MobiFren_S5 > at Google Play store. 16. Headset Initialization ( Factory Reset ) - If you press Vol ( + ) ▶ Vol ( - ) ▶ Vol( + ) ▶ Vol( - ) shortly in order, then, press MFB button till purple LED glitters for 2 times. Then, you can initialize GBH-S500.  17. Firmware upgrade - You can upgrade the latest rmware by connecting to PC. While pressing ( - ) button, please connect GBH-S500 and PC with charging cable, then, the red LED blinks and it goes to rmware upgrade mode. ※ Firmware is available at www.mobifren.com ※ Do not disconnect the headset from the PC during rmware upgrading. It may cause malfunction of the headset. ※ After rmware upgrade , please initialize the headset. Refer to < Headset Initialization >

Troubleshooting & FAQ✽ I hear crackling noises For the best audio quality, always locate your headset close to mobile phone.✽ I cannot hear anything - “Increase the volume on the headset.” - “Ensure that the headset is paired with the phone.” - “Make sure that the phone is connected to the headset.” - If the headset fails to connect either when you pressed MFB or through your mobile phone's Bluetooth menu, follow the pairing procedure.✽ I have problems with pairing even though my phone indicates otherwise. Please delete the headset paired in your mobile and pair the headset again. Please refer to set up “Pairing mode” ✽ Will the MobiFren GBH-S500 work with other Bluetooth equipment? The MobiFren GBH-S500 is designed to work with Bluetooth mobile, computer or portable audio devices which are built in. It can also work with other Bluetooth devices that are compliant with Bluetooth version. 1.1/ 1.2/ 2.0/2.1+EDR/3.0/4.0 and that support HSP, HFP, A2DP and AVRCP✽ When you use the headset in the car, the handsfree can be affected by the internal noise.
198. Handle MobiFren with care• Always store the MobiFren GBH-S500 with the power o and protect safely when it’s not in use. • Avoid storage at extreme temperature. (above 60℃/ 140℉- including direct sunlight -or below -20 ℃/ -4℉) This can aect the MobiFren’s battery life and may be the cause of malfunction. High temperature may also degrade performance. • Do not expose the MobiFren GBH-S500 to rain or other liquids • Prevent baby, children or pets to bite or suck this headset.• Please do not disassemble at user’s option.• Please make sure to use certied charger. Passkey or PIN is a code in numbers, which you have to enter on your mobile phone to pair it with your MobiFren GBH-S500. This makes your phone and the MobiFren GBH-S500 to recognize each other and automatically work together.5. ‘Standby Mode’ is when the MobiFren GBH-S500 is passively waiting for a call.
