DE7SicherheitshinweiseNicht während der Fahrt bedienen.Bedienen Sie die Smartphone App Ihres BMWAdvanced Car Eye nicht während der Fahrt,damit der Fahrer nicht abgelenkt wird.Bitte beachten und befolgen Sie zuIhrer Sicherheit auch alle weiterenSicherheitshinweise. Gesetzliche Bestimmungensind immer einzuhalten. Bitte informieren Siesich, ob in Ihrem Land die Nutzung des ACEerlaubt ist.Grundsätzlich ist es nicht erlaubt mit dem ACEaufgezeichnete Videos öffentlicher Orte imInternet oder anderen Quellen zu publizieren.InbetriebnahmeSchieben Sie die Speicherkarte (µSD) in dasGerät. Diese darf nur in ausgeschaltetemZustand eingeschoben und entfernt werden,sonst werden die Daten beschädigt und es kannzu Fehlfunktionen kommen. Bitte verwendenSie ausschließlich von BMW freigegebeneSpeicherkarten höchster Qualität mit mindestens10.000 Schreibzyklen (Typ MLC – Multi LayerCard) und einer Schreibgeschwindigkeit „Class10“ um Fehlern vorzubeugen.Die Gewährleistung auf die µSD-Karte beträgt 6Monate.ZeiteinstellungDas ACE stellt Zeit und Datum automatisch überdie GPS-Zeit (UTC) ein.Die Anpassung an Ihre Zeitzone, bzw. Sommer-und Winterzeit erfolgt über einen Abgleich mitder Uhrzeit Ihres Smartphone.Ihr Gerät ist nun betriebsbereit!
8BetriebMit Einschalten der Zündung aktiviert das ACEautomatisch den „Fahrmodus“ und zeichnet dieFahrt auf der µSD-Karte auf.Mit Abschalten der Zündung schaltet das ACEautomatisch in den „Parkmodus“, in dem mittelsRadar und Erschütterungssensor das Fahrzeugüberwacht wird.Kommt eine Person auf Ihr Fahrzeug zuoder erfährt Ihr Fahrzeug einen Parkrempler,so aktiviert sich die Kamera und zeichnetdas Geschehen in einem kurzen Video auf.Ist Ihr Fahrzeug längere Zeit abgestellt,so deaktiviert sich nach Verbrauch einerfestgesetzten Energiemenge das Radarsystemund Ihr Fahrzeug wird nur noch über denErschütterungssensor überwacht.Koppelung mit demSmartphoneGrundsätzlich kann das ACE mit IhrenGrundeinstellungen auch ohne Verbindungmit einem Smartphone betrieben werden.Akustische Hinweise halten Sie über denBetriebszustand Ihres ACE auf dem Laufenden.Die Aufnahmen können Sie auch über Video-Player auf einem PC (z.B. Windows Media Player,VLC, etc.) ansehen nachdem Sie die µSD-Kartemit Ihrem PC oder MAC verbunden haben.Um das ACE mit Ihrem Smartphone (iOS oderAndroid) zu nutzen, laden Sie sich bitte zuerst diekostenlose App aus dem jeweiligen App Store.Um Ihr Smartphone nun mit das ACE zu koppeln,aktivieren Sie bitte die WLAN-Funktion auf IhremTelefon und verbinden sich mit dem Hotspot(SSID) „BMWACE“. Das Standardpassworthierzu lautet: 1234567890.Ändern Sie bitte gleich das Standardpasswortüber die BMW ACE App >Einstellungen>Wi-Fi>.Nach der Änderung Ihres Passwortes, müssenSie sich mit dem neuen Passwort an demWLAN-Hotspot (SSID) „BMWACE“ anmelden.
DE9BetriebsmodiFahrmodusWird automatisch gestartet, sobald die Zündungeingeschaltet wird.Es wird nun fortwährend ein Video aufgezeichnetund in Ein-Minuten-Sequenzen auf dieSpeicherkarte geschrieben.ParkmodusDer Parkmodus wird aktiviert, sobald Sie dieZündung abschalten.Bei einer Erschütterung des Fahrzeugs odereiner Bewegung vor den Radarsensorenwird jeweils eine 20 Sekunden-Sequenzaufgezeichnet.Dabei werden Videos, die durch eineErschütterung aufgezeichnet werden im Ordner„Event“ und Videos, die aufgrund von Bewegungaufgezeichnet werden im Ordner „Parken“ aufder SD-Karte abgelegt.Im Parkmodus überwacht das Gerät den eigenenEnergiebedarf und den Zustand der Autobatterieund schaltet zur Sicherheit bei Erreichen desGrenzwertes ab, um die Autobatterie zu schonenund Ihr Fahrzeug betriebsbereit zu halten.EreignisaufnahmenBei Erschütterungen des Fahrzeugs oberhalbdes für den G-Sensor eingestellten Werteswerden separate Videodateien in dem Ordner„Event“ auf der Speicherkarte angelegt. Somitlassen sich solche Ereignisse leichter findenund werden nicht so schnell überschrieben. Sieerkennen das Starten der Ereignisaufnahme andem doppelten Piepton.Sie können die Empfindlichkeit des G-Sensors in5 Stufen einstellen.
10SpeichernutzungDie Speicherkarte wird vom System fürjeden Betriebsmodus in unterschiedlicheBereiche geteilt (Fahren, Parken, Event). Injedem Speicherbereich wird die jeweils ältesteAufzeichnung durch die neueste überschrieben.Sichern Sie daher die Daten sofort, wenn etwaspassiert ist. Sie können sich die Daten über dieACE App auf Ihr Smartphone herunterladenoder entnehmen Sie die SD-Karte (nach demAusschalten des Gerätes) um ein Überschreibender Dateien zu verhindern. Wenn Sie die SD-Karte am PC bearbeiten und anschließendwieder mit der Kamera benutzen, wird die SD-Karte formatiert. D. h. alle vorhandenen Videoswerden gelöscht!Gelegentlich wird Sie das System aufforderndie SD-Karte zu formatieren. Dies geschiehtum Leistungseinschränkungen durch eineDefragmentierung zu verhindern. Wenn diesgeschieht haben Sie 10 Sekunden Zeit diePower Taste zu drücken, um die Formatierung zustarten. Die Dauer ist abhängig von der Größe derSD-Karte. Alternativ können Sie die Funktion „SDFormatierung“ auch über die App nutzen.Manuelles Ein- undAusschaltenEin kurzer Druck auf die EIN/AUS-Taste schaltetdas System ein.Zum Ausschalten bitte lange drücken(mindestens 3 Sek.).

EN23Safety informationDo not operate when driving.Do not us the smartphone App on yourAdvanced Car Eye when you are driving toprevent distracting the driver.Observe and comply with all the other safetyinstructions for your safety. The legal stipulationsmust be observed at all times. Please check thatthe ACE can be used in your country.It is categorically prohibited to publish videos ofpublic places recorded using the ACE on theinternet and in other sources.CommissioningSlide the memory card (µSD) into the device. Itmust only be inserted and removed with the unitswitched off, otherwise the data will be damagedand malfunctions may occur. Please use onlymemory cards of the highest quality, approvedby BMW, and having at least 10,000 write cycles(Type MLC - Multi Layer Card) and a write speed“Class 10” to prevent errors.The µSD card is guaranteed for 6 months.Time settingThe ACE automatically sets the time and date viaGPS time (UTC).Adaption to your time zone, and summer andwinter time, is carried out via comparison with thetime on your smartphone.Your device is now ready for operation!
24OperationWhen the ignition is switched on, the ACEautomatically activates the “Drive Mode” andrecords the journey on the µSD.When the ignition is switched off, the ACEautomatically switches to “Park Mode” wherethe vehicle is monitored using radar and vibrationsensors.If a person approaches the vehicle or if thevehicle detects parking contact, the camera isactivated and records the event on a brief video.If your vehicle is parked for an extended period,the radar system deactivates after a stipulatedamount of energy has been consumed and yourvehicle is then only monitored by the vibrationsensor.Coupling to yoursmartphoneThe ACE can, in principle, also be operatedusing the basic settings without connecting toa smartphone. Acoustic instructions keep youinformed of the operating status of your ACE.The recordings can viewed using a video playeron a PC (e.g. Windows Media Player, VLC etc.)after connecting the µSD card to your PC orMAC.In order to use the ACE with your smartphone(iOS or Android), you first need to downloadthe free App from the relevant App Store.In order then to couple your smartphone tothe ACE, please activate the WLAN functionon your phone and connect to the hotspot(SSID) “BMWACE”. The standard password is:1234567890.Please change the standard passwordimmediately using the BMW ACE App>Settings>Wi-Fi>. After changing your password,you need to log on to the WLAN hotspot (SSID)“BMWACE” using your new password.
EN25Operating modesDrive modeIs started automatically as soon as the ignition isswitched on.A video is recorded continuously and is written tothe memory card in one-minute sequences.Park modeThe park mode is activated as soon as theignition is switched off.If the vehicle detects vibration or movement infront of the radar sensors, a 20 second sequenceis recorded in each case.Videos that are recorded as a result of vibrationare saved in the “Event” folder, and videos thatare recorded as a result of movement are savedin the “Parking” folder on the SD card.In park mode, the device monitors its own energyconsumption and the condition of the car battery,and it switches off when the threshold value isreached, for safety reasons, in order to protectthe battery and to keep your vehicle ready foruse.Event recordingsIf vibrations on the vehicle are detected thatare in excess of the value set for the G Sensor,separate video files are saved in the “Event”folder on the memory card. This makes theseevents easier to find and are not so quicklyoverwritten. Your will be informed of the start ofthe event recording by a double bleep.You can set the sensitivity of the G Sensor in 5stages.
26Memory useThe memory card is split into various differentareas for each operating mode by the system(Drive, Park, Event). In each memory area, theoldest recording is overwritten by the newestone, in each case. So you should secure the dataimmediately if anything has happened. You candownload the data to your smartphone via theACE App or you can remove the SD card (afterswitching the device off) to prevent overwritingthe files. If you process the SD card on a PC, andthen reuse it with the camera, the SD card will beformatted. That is to say, all existing videos will bedeleted!Occasionally the system will ask you toformat the SD card. This happens to preventperformance restrictions by defragmenting. Ifthis happens, you have 10 seconds to pushthe Power button to start the formatting. Theduration depends on the size of the SD card.As an alternative, you can also use the “SDFormatting” function via the App.Switching on and offmanuallyYou switch the system on by pressing the ON/OFF button briefly.You switch it off by an extended push (minimum3 seconds).
