TheMobilitySoundBTH300isawirelessmicrophonekitdesignedforusewithaMobilitySoundAdapterand
atwowayradio(soldseparately).

TheMobilitySoundBTH300hasaninternalLithiumIonrechargeablebatterypackwhichmustbe

approximately12hours(ormore)ofoperationbeforeneedingtoberecharged.However,operatingtime
canvarydependingonusageandtheconditionofthebatterypack.Rechargethebatteryregularly.

Inordertohearincomingsignalsreceivedbythetwowayradio,theMobilitySoundBTH300
mustbeusedwithanearphone.Aearbudstyleearphoneisincludedwiththe
MobilitySoundBTH300Bluetoothheadset.

STEPTWO:ConnectingtheEarphonetotheBTH300
1. Plugtheearphoneintothe3.5mmaudiojacklocatedonthetopoftheMobilitySound
BTH300.Makesurethattheconnectorontheearphoneispushedallthewayintothe
jackontheBTH300.
2. YoucanadjustthevolumeofreceivedsignalsbyusingtheVolumeUpandVolumeDown
buttonsonthesideoftheBTH300.
OtherAudioAccessories:
AlthoughtheBTH300includesaearacousticstyleearphone,itispossibletouseadifferent
audioaccessory,ifyouwish.The3.5mmaudiojackonBTH300willacceptanymonoorstereo
earphonewitha3.5mmaudioplug.YoucanalsouseanyAppleiPhonecompatibleaudio
accessorywitha3.5mm4conductorplug.Iftheaudioaccessoryhasabuiltinmicrophone,
transmitaudiowillbetakenfromtheaccessorymicrophone.

toflashtwotimespersecond.TheMobilitySoundAdapterisnowinaudioaccessorypairing
mode.
HolddowntheMultifunctionButtonontheMobilitySoundBTH300.Continuetohold
thebuttondownforapproximately3seconds,untiltheLEDonBTH300begintoquicklyflash
REDBLUEREDBLUE.TheMobilitySoundAdapterisnowinpairingmode.
Afterafewseconds,thetwodevicesshouldsynchtooneanother.Oncethe
MobilitySoundBTH300andAdapterarepairedwitheachother,thestatusLEDonthe
adapterwillshowasolidbluelightforthreeseconds.TheLEDontheadapterwillthenshowa
periodicalblueflash.TheLEDonBTH300willinitiallyshowasolidbluelight.
IftheMobilitySoundAdapterdoesnotdetectBTH300within60secondsofbeingput
intopairingmode,theadapterwillexitthepairingmodeandresumenormaloperation.
Oncesuccessfullypaired,youwillbeabletooperateyour2wayradiousingtheMobilitySound.
ReconnectingtoaPreviouslyPairedBluetoothDevice
OncetheMobilitySoundBTH300andAdapterhavebeensuccessfullypairedtogether,bothdevices
willrememberthatconnection.TheadapterandBTH300willattempttoreestablishtheirlink
wheneverwhentheradio/adapterandheadsetarebothturnedonandinwithinrangeofeachother.
Reestablishingthisconnectioncantake1060seconds.

OnceyourMobilitySoundBTH300andMobilitySoundaudioadapterhavebeenpaired
together:
ReceivedsignalswillbeheardovertheMobilitySoundBTH300’searphone.Thevolumeofreceived
callscanbeadjustedusingtheVolumeUPandVolumeDOWNbuttonsontheMobilitySound
BTH300.Thevolumecanalsobeadjustedusingthevolumecontrolonthetwowayradio(formost
models).
PushtoTalkcanbeactivatedoneofseveraldifferentways:
BypressingandholdingthePTTbuttonontheMobilitySoundBTH300.
BypressingandholdingtheTalkbuttonontheMobilitySoundAdapter.
UsinganoptionalwiredPTTthatiscompatiblewiththeMobilitySoundAdapter.
UsinganoptionalMobilitySoundWirelessBluetoothPTT(modelBTPTTorBTPTT2,sold
separately).
NotethatifyouareusingawirelessBluetoothPTT,youwillfirstneedtopairtheadapterwith
thePTTusingtheinstructionslocatedintheMobilitySoundPTTUser’sGuide.
Whentransmitting,thetypeofaudioaccessorythatisconnectedtotheMobilitySound
BTH300determineswhichmicrophonewillbeselectedastheaudiosource.
Ifalistenonlyearphoneisused,transmitaudioistakenfromtheinternalmicrophoneinthe
MobilitySoundBTH300.
Ifanaudioaccessorythathasbothanearphoneandmicrophoneisused,transmitaudioistaken
fromtheaccessorymicrophone.

headset.InordertopairyourBTH300andcellularphone,dothefollowing:

First,activatetheBluetoothfeatureofyourcellularphoneusingtheinstructionsprovided
bythemanufacturer.Formostphones,selectSettings/Tools>Connections>Bluetooth>
OnSeeyourphone’suserguideformoreinformation.
HolddowntheMultifunctionButtonontheMobilitySoundBTH300.Continuetoholdthe
buttondownforapproximately3seconds,untiltheLEDontheBTH300begintoquicklyflash
REDBLUEREDBLUE.TheMobilitySoundAdapterisnowinpairingmode.
Onyourphone,chosethenewlydiscoveredBluetoothdevice(devicename“BTH300”)as
theactiveconnection.Seeyourphone’suserguideformoreinformation.
IfpromptedforthePasskey(PINcode),enter0000.Pairingissuccessful!Youshouldnow
beabletousetheMobilitySoundBTH300withyourcellularphone.
NotethattheMobilitySoundBTH300doessupportpairingtomultipledevices.Youcanpair
BTH300withaMobilitySoundAdapter/twowayradioORwithacellularphone,butnotboth
atthesametime.
