TheMobilitySoundBTH‐300isawirelessmicrophonekitdesignedforusewithaMobilitySoundAdapterand
atwo‐wayradio(soldseparately).

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuantto
Part15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmful
interferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipmentgeneratesusesandcanradiateradiofrequency
energyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycauseharmfulinterferenceto

approximately12hours(ormore)ofoperationbeforeneedingtoberecharged.However,operatingtime
canvarydependingonusageandtheconditionofthebatterypack.Rechargethebatteryregularly.

Inordertohearincomingsignalsreceivedbythetwo‐wayradio,theMobilitySoundBTH‐300
mustbeusedwithanearphone.Aearbud‐styleearphoneisincludedwiththe
MobilitySoundBTH‐300Bluetoothheadset.

1. Plugtheearphoneintothe3.5mmaudiojacklocatedonthetopoftheMobilitySound
BTH‐300.Makesurethattheconnectorontheearphoneispushedallthewayintothe
jackontheBTH‐300.
2. YoucanadjustthevolumeofreceivedsignalsbyusingtheVolumeUpandVolumeDown
buttonsonthesideoftheBTH‐300.
OtherAudioAccessories:
AlthoughtheBTH‐300includesaearacoustic‐styleearphone,itispossibletouseadifferent
audioaccessory,ifyouwish.The3.5mmaudiojackonBTH‐300willacceptanymonoorstereo
earphonewitha3.5mmaudioplug.YoucanalsouseanyAppleiPhonecompatibleaudio
accessorywitha3.5mm4‐conductorplug.Iftheaudioaccessoryhasabuilt‐inmicrophone,
transmitaudiowillbetakenfromtheaccessorymicrophone.

• HolddowntheMultifunctionButtonontheMobilitySoundBTH‐300.Continuetohold
thebuttondownforapproximately3seconds,untiltheLEDonBTH‐300begintoquicklyflash
RED‐BLUE‐RED‐BLUE.TheMobilitySoundAdapterisnowinpairingmode.
• Afterafewseconds,thetwodevicesshouldsynchtooneanother.Oncethe
MobilitySoundBTH‐300andAdapterarepairedwitheachother,thestatusLEDonthe
adapterwillshowasolidbluelightforthreeseconds.TheLEDontheadapterwillthenshowa
periodicalblueflash.TheLEDonBTH‐300willinitiallyshowasolidbluelight.
• IftheMobilitySoundAdapterdoesnotdetectBTH‐300within60secondsofbeingput
intopairingmode,theadapterwillexitthepairingmodeandresumenormaloperation.
Oncesuccessfullypaired,youwillbeabletooperateyour2‐wayradiousingtheMobilitySound.
ReconnectingtoaPreviouslyPairedBluetoothDevice
OncetheMobilitySoundBTH‐300andAdapterhavebeensuccessfullypairedtogether,bothdevices
willrememberthatconnection.TheadapterandBTH‐300willattempttore‐establishtheirlink
wheneverwhentheradio/adapterandheadsetarebothturnedonandinwithinrangeofeachother.
Re‐establishingthisconnectioncantake10‐60seconds.

OnceyourMobilitySoundBTH‐300andMobilitySoundaudioadapterhavebeenpaired
together:
ReceivedsignalswillbeheardovertheMobilitySoundBTH‐300’searphone.Thevolumeofreceived
callscanbeadjustedusingtheVolumeUPandVolumeDOWNbuttonsontheMobilitySound
BTH‐300.Thevolumecanalsobeadjustedusingthevolumecontrolonthetwo‐wayradio(formost
models).
Push‐to‐Talkcanbeactivatedoneofseveraldifferentways:
• BypressingandholdingthePTTbuttonontheMobilitySoundBTH‐300.
• BypressingandholdingtheTalkbuttonontheMobilitySoundAdapter.
• UsinganoptionalwiredPTTthatiscompatiblewiththeMobilitySoundAdapter.
• UsinganoptionalMobilitySoundWirelessBluetoothPTT(modelBT‐PTTorBT‐PTT2,sold
separately).
NotethatifyouareusingawirelessBluetoothPTT,youwillfirstneedtopairtheadapterwith
thePTTusingtheinstructionslocatedintheMobilitySoundPTTUser’sGuide.
Whentransmitting,thetypeofaudioaccessorythatisconnectedtotheMobilitySound
BTH‐300determineswhichmicrophonewillbeselectedastheaudiosource.
Ifalisten‐onlyearphoneisused,transmitaudioistakenfromtheinternalmicrophoneinthe
MobilitySoundBTH‐300.

headset.InordertopairyourBTH‐300andcellularphone,dothefollowing:
• First,activatetheBluetoothfeatureofyourcellularphoneusingtheinstructionsprovided
bythemanufacturer.Formostphones,selectSettings/Tools>Connections>Bluetooth>
OnSeeyourphone’suserguideformoreinformation.
• HolddowntheMultifunctionButtonontheMobilitySoundBTH‐300.Continuetoholdthe
buttondownforapproximately3seconds,untiltheLEDontheBTH‐300begintoquicklyflash
RED‐BLUE‐RED‐BLUE.TheMobilitySoundAdapterisnowinpairingmode.
• Onyourphone,chosethenewlydiscoveredBluetoothdevice(devicename“BTH‐300”)as
theactiveconnection.Seeyourphone’suserguideformoreinformation.
• IfpromptedforthePasskey(PINcode),enter0000.Pairingissuccessful!Youshouldnow

originalpurchaser.ItdoesnotcoverdamageorfailurecausedbyorattributabletoActsofGod,abuse,
misuse,improperorabnormalusage,faultyinstallation,impropermaintenance,lightning,orother
incidencesofexcessivevoltage,oranytamperingorrepairsbyotherthanaMobilitySound
authorizedrepairfacility.Itdoesnotcoverreplacementofconsumableparts,transportationcosts,or
damageintransit.
Repairorreplacementunderthetermsofthiswarrantydoesnotextendthetermsofthiswarranty.

writing.Shouldthisproductprovedefectiveinworkmanshipormaterial,theconsumer’ssole
remediesshallbesuchrepairorreplacementasprovidedbythetermsofthiswarranty.Underno
circumstancesshallMobilitySoundRadioProductsbeliableforanylossordamage,direct,
consequential,orincidental,arisingoutoftheuseoforinabilitytousethisproduct.Somestatesdo
notallowlimitationsonhowlonganimpliedwarrantylastsortheexclusionsorlimitationsof
