Introduction
About your headset
The Nokia Purity Pro Bluetooth Stereo Headset by
Monster combines superior audio quality with ease of
use. Handle calls hands-free, or listen to your favourite
tracks. Just unfold the headset, put it on, and you're
ready to go.
The audio quality doesn't have to suffer in noisy
environments - active noise cancellation (ANC) takes out
unwanted background noise.
The surface of this product is nickel-free.
Warning:
This product may contain small parts. Keep them out of
the reach of small children.
Parts of the product are magnetic. Metallic materials may
be attracted to the product. Do not place credit cards or
other magnetic storage media near the product, because
info stored on them may be erased.
Read this user guide carefully before using the product.
Also, read the user guide for the device that you connect
to the product.

your ear while the loudspeaker is in use.
Warning:
When you use the headset, your ability to hear outside
sounds may be affected. Do not use the headset where
it can endanger your safety.
Obey all local laws. Using a mobile phone or some its
features while driving may be prohibited. Always keep
your hands free to operate the vehicle while driving. Your
first consideration while driving should be road safety.

Tip: You can also charge the headset from your computer
with a compatible USB cable.
With a wireless connection, the fully charged battery has
power for up to 24 hours of talk time or 24 hours music
playing time, or up to 7 days of standby time.
When the battery charge is low, you hear a periodic voice
prompt or beep, and the yellow indicator light flashes.
Cyan Magenta Yellow Black
9
When the battery is empty, you can still use a wired
connection without active noise cancellation (ANC).
Tip: The battery indicator light tells you the level of
battery charge whenever you switch the headset on or
off. A green light means there is enough power. If the light
is yellow, you may need to recharge the battery soon. If
the light is red, recharge the battery.
Switch the headset on
There's no power button to press – just unfold the
headset, and it automatically switches on.
Cyan Magenta Yellow Black
10
The headset beeps, and the battery indicator light
flashes once, showing you the battery charge. The
headset automatically connects to the last connected
device. If you've never paired the headset with a device,
or you've cleared the pairings, the headset goes into
pairing mode.
Cyan Magenta Yellow Black
11
Switch the headset off
Fold the headset. The headset beeps, and the battery
indicator light flashes once. All connections close.
If the headset is not connected to a device within 10
minutes, it switches to standby mode. To wake the
headset up, switch it off, and switch it back on again.
Wear the headset
Adjust the headband for a perfect fit.
Put the earpiece marked with L over your left ear and the
one marked with R over your right ear.
When you put the headset on , the earpiece proximity
sensors switch active noise cancellation (ANC) on
automatically.
If you're not wearing the headset for 10 minutes, ANC
switches off, and the headset mutes itself to save power.
To carry on using the headset, just put it back on your
head.

Pair and connect to a device
About pairing and connecting wirelessly
Before using your headset, you must pair and connect it
to a compatible device.
You can pair the headset with 8 devices, such as your
phone and computer, but you can only connect it to 2
devices at the same time.
With some devices, you may need to make the connection
separately after pairing.
When you switch your headset on, it automatically
connects to the device it was used with last. If the last
connected device can't be found, the headset connects
to the next device on its paired devices list.
When the headset is connected to a device, the Bluetooth
indicator light flashes slowly.
Tip: Can't connect the headset to a compatible device?
Make sure the headset is charged, switched on, and
paired with the device.
Pair and connect with NFC
With Near Field Communication (NFC), you can pair and
connect your headset to your compatible device easily.
Cyan Magenta Yellow Black
13
If your device supports NFC, switch NFC on.
Switch the headset on.
Touch the NFC area on the headset with the NFC area
on your device. The headset connects to the device
automatically.
You can also disconnect the headset using NFC. For
details on NFC, see your device user guide.
If the device does not support NFC, pair the headset
manually.

1 Make sure the headset is switched off.
2 Switch the compatible device on, and switch
Bluetooth on.
3 Switch the headset on. If you've previously paired
your headset with another device, press and hold
for 2 seconds. The blue indicator light starts to flash
quickly.
4 Set your device to search for Bluetooth devices. For
details, see your device user guide.
5 On your device, select the headset from the list of
found devices.
6 If needed, type in the passcode 0000.
Connect with a cable
When you use the audio cable, the wireless connection
switches off, so you can use your headset offline, for
example, during a flight.
Cyan Magenta Yellow Black

Connect the cable to the headset, and the other end to
the headset connector on your device.
When you've connected the cable, your headset switches
to flight mode. You can only connect the headset to one
device at a time.

Adjust volume and audio
Change the volume
Use the volume keys. To change the volume quickly,
press and hold the volume keys.
You can set the volume for each of the devices you have
paired and connected your headset with. The headset
remembers the volume level the next time you connect
it to the device.
With a wireless connection, if the volume is too low, make
sure you have put the volume up on your phone as well.
Use active noise cancellation
Active noise cancellation (ANC) reduces background
noise, so you can enjoy high quality audio also in noisy
environments. As you can listen at a lower volume, ANC
helps protect your hearing.
When you put your headset on, the earpiece proximity
sensors switch ANC on automatically. When you take the
headset off, ANC switches off.

Product and safety information
Battery and charger information
This device has an internal, nonremovable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt
to remove the battery from the device as you may damage the device.
This device is intended for use when supplied with power from the following
chargers: AC-50. The exact charger model number may vary depending on the type
of plug. The plug variant is identified by one of the following: E, X, AR, U, A, C, K, B,
or N.
The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually
wear out.
Talk and standby times are estimates only. Actual times are affected by, for
example, device settings, features being used, battery condition, and temperature.
If the battery has not been used for a long time, to begin charging, you may need
to connect the charger, then disconnect and reconnect it.
If the battery is completely discharged, it may take several minutes before the
charging indicator is displayed.
When your charger is not in use, unplug it from the electrical plug and the device.
Do not leave a fully charged battery connected to a charger, as overcharging may
shorten the battery’s lifetime. If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its
charge over time.
Always keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). Extreme
temperatures reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. A device with a hot
or cold battery may not work temporarily.
Cyan Magenta Yellow Black
21
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Dispose of batteries
according to local regulations. Recycle when possible. Do not dispose as household
waste.
Use the charger for its intended purpose only. Improper use or use of unapproved
chargers may present a risk of fire, explosion, or other hazard, and may invalidate
any approval or warranty. If you believe the charger is damaged, take it to a service
centre for inspection before continuing to use it. Never use a damaged charger.
Only use the charger indoors.
Take care of your device
Handle your device, charger and accessories with care. The following suggestions
help you protect your warranty coverage.
•
Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and all types of liquids or
moisture can contain minerals that corrode electronic circuits. If your device
gets wet, allow the device to dry.
•
Do not use or store the device in dusty or dirty areas. Moving parts and
electronic components can be damaged.
•
Do not store the device in high temperatures. High temperatures can shorten
the life of the device, damage the battery, and warp or melt plastics.
•
Do not store the device in cold temperatures. When the device warms to its
normal temperature, moisture can form inside the device and damage
electronic circuits.
•
Do not attempt to open the device.
•
Unauthorised modifications may damage the device and violate regulations
governing radio devices.
•
Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal
circuit boards and mechanics.
•
Only use a soft, clean, dry cloth to clean the surface of the device.
Cyan Magenta Yellow Black
22
Recycle
Always return your used electronic products, batteries, and packaging materials to
dedicated collection points. This way you help prevent uncontrolled waste disposal
and promote the recycling of materials.
Crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol
The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on your product, battery, literature, or
packaging reminds you that all electrical and electronic products, batteries, and
accumulators must be taken to separate collection at the end of their working life.
This requirement applies in the European Union. Do not dispose of these products
as unsorted municipal waste. For more environmental information, see the product
Eco profile at www.nokia.com/ecoprofile.
