• The Phone to function may be available using an item
with a phone number saved even if the number is other
than the numeric string that expresses a phone number.
If a site page or mail has a highlighted phone
number, Email address, URL, you can use these
to open a Web site, to make a call, or send Email
with a simple operation.

• The Mail to function may not be available depending on

• Correct the Email address before sending Email if
necessary.

■ Using FirstPass
• FirstPass is DoCoMo's electronic authentication
service. By using FirstPass, client authentication is
enabled, whereby the site and the FOMA handset
exchange certificates, check the other party's
certificate and perform mutual authentication.
• When requesting issuance of a User Certificate,
carefully read "the FirstPass Rules on Use" on the
screen, agree to this, and make the request.
• UIM PIN2 is required to use the User Certificate.
Once the UIM PIN2 is entered, all subsequent
operations will be deemed to be complete by you. Be
careful not to let others use your UIM PIN or UIM
PIN2.
• If the UIM is lost or stolen, the "DoCoMo Information
Center" on the back of this manual can revoke your
User Certificate.
• DoCoMo bears no obligation or responsibility
regarding to the sites and information provided by
FirstPass sites. Solve any problems you may have
directly with the FirstPass site.
• DoCoMo and authentication companies do not
guarantee security when you use FirstPass and SLL.
You should use them at your own discretion.
• FirstPass can be used over the Internet using the
handset or the handset connected with a PC. You
need to install the FirstPass PC Software from the
included CD-ROM on the PC.

You usually do not need to change the
settings.
Set the address to download a Client Certificate.
i-motion
i-motion is composed of video and sound files or
music files. You can obtain them for use on the
FOMA handset from i-motion compatible sites.
You can set an i-motion as a ringer ID. → P107

There are 2 types of i-motion movies. This FOMA
handset handles only the standard type
i-motion movie. However, streaming type
i-motion movies cannot be downloaded.
■ Standard
Up to 500 Kbytes of i-motion can be saved on the
handset.
• There are 2 forms standard type.
a Playback is possible after downloading
b Playback is possible while downloading
*: Some standard type i-motion movies cannot be saved.
■ Streaming type (this FOMA handset does not
support this type.)
This type of i-motion movie cannot be saved on
the handset. Play back while downloading an
i-motion movie. Up to 2 Mbytes of i-motion can be
played. The data is deleted after playback. The
data will be downloaded for each playback.
Save
Save the downloaded i-motion movie. Press h [Yes].
Properties
Display the title, file size and playback restrictions, etc. of the
downloaded i-motion movie.
