For example, to call the mobile number for an entry named Bill Smith, say “Call Bill Smith mobile.” (If the entry includes only one number for Bill Smith, say “Call Bill Smith.”)•Speak numbers at a normal speed and volume, and pronounce each digit distinctly. Avoid pausing between digits.voice recognition settingsTo modify voice recognition settings, press and release the voice key on the right side of the phone. Press Settings, the select the option you want.To access in-device help for a setting you speak, press Info.mute buttonDuring a call, press the mute button to mute your voice. You will still be able to hear the other party. Press the mute button again to unmute your voice.When the phone is idle (not in a call and not playing music), press and hold the mute button to change the Master Volume setting to Vibrate Only. Press and hold the mute button again to switch back to the previous ringer setting. Bluetooth® power buttonTo turn Bluetooth power on and off, press the Bluetooth button X.music player buttonsTo activate the music player or resume music playback after closing the flip, press the music player play/pause button y. Use the music player touch controls to control music playback (see the next section).lock & unlock phoneYou can lock your phone manually or set it to lock automatically whenever you turn it off. 15basicsTTY operationNote: Network/Subscription Dependent. You can use an optional TTY device with your phone to send and receive calls. You must plug the TTY device into the phone’s headset jack and set the phone to operate in one of three TTY modes.Use a TSB-121 compliant cable (provided by the TTY device manufacturer) to connect the TTY device to the phone.Set the phone volume to level 4 (middle setting) for proper operation. If you experience a high number of incorrect characters, adjust the volume as needed to minimize errors.For optimal performance, your phone should be at least 12 inches (30 centimeters) from the TTY device. Placing the phone too close to the device may cause high error rates.set TTY modeù When you set your phone to a TTY mode, it operates in that mode whenever the TTY device is connected.Find it: > uSettings > Call 1Scroll to TTY Setup and press .2Scroll to one of the following TTY Setup options and press .When your phone is in TTY mode, during an active call your phone displays the international TTY mode, the international TTY symbol, and the mode setting.airplane modeNote: Consult airline staff about the use of Airplane Mode in flight.
