HEED THE FOLLOWING
Read the operating instructions carefully betore using the unit and be
sure to use it properly. Alter reading the instructions. store them in an
easily accessible place so they can be consulted whenever necessary.

Cleaning
To clean the DVD~ROM leaner. wipe it wlih a soft. damp clolh, uslng mild
detergent il necessary. Please avoid using solvents such as benzine or
palm thinner. This can cause color changes or delorrnallon of the DVD-
ROM reader.
Handling the Disc

or priming).
0 Do not apply paper labels or write on any part 01 the disc. data slde or
label slde. Do not use the disc Ieaved a mark strip paper labels.

between the pins, whleh enables me Iunclion being controlled by the

Inserting/Removing a Disc
Using the DVD-ROM Reader Installed Venlcally
When using me DVD-ROM reeder, In me vertical positlon, load and
unload discs as shown on me diagram behwv,

Inserting a Diet:
1. Press the Load/Eject button, The disc trey will be ejected.
2. Place the disc in the center of the tray wlth the label slde lacing up.
3. Press the Load/Eject button. The disc tray will be retracted.
Removlng a DIsc
1. Press the Load/Elect button. The diectray wlll be ejected.
2. Remove the disc.
3. Press the Load/Eject button. The disc trey will be retracted.
WARNING:
Do not Iorcibty push thede tray In by hand Doing so may result In damage.
Note:
It an eject prohibit commend has been received tram the computer, the
also tray will not be elected even it the Load/Elect button ls pressed.
Emergency Eject
The procedure described below can be used to remove a disc Irorn the
DVD-ROM reader lithe Load/Elect button ls dlsabled by smware or a
power Iallure oocurs.
I. Turn oft the power to the computer installed the DVD-ROM reader.
2. The dlec that Is Inslde may mill be splnnlng. Please welt 1mlnute mm a
stops to spin oenalnly.
3. Insert a steel red as paper crib and so on that is straightend (about
1 .3mm ln dlemeter) Into the emergency elect hole and push slowly.
The dlec trey Is elected by about 1pm. Pull it all the way open by hand.
