Phones Jack
This jack is used to connect a set at headphones. Please use
headphones wilh a stereo mini-jack plug.
Volume Control
This control is used to adjust Me headphone volume.
NOTE: This control has no effect on the audio output lrorn the LINE
OUT connector on lhe back at the DVD-ROM leader.
BUSY Indicator
This indicalor lights umber while data is being read.
Tray Panel
This panel prevents dust from entering the DVD-ROM reader.
The disc tray will be ejected when the Load/Eject button is pushed.
Emergency Elect Hole
Use to remove the disc lrom the DVD-ROM reader 11 the electrical
eject is disabled by saltware or it power latlure occurs. (See page M
“Emergency Eject" tor details.)

Installing the DVD-ROM reader in a host PC
Note

Inserting/Removing 3 Disc
Using the DVD-ROM Reader Installed Vertically
When uslng [he DVD-ROM reader, in (he venical posilion, load and
unload discs as shown on Ihe diagram below.

Insening 3 Disc
1. Press the Load/Eject button. The disc tray will be ejected.
2. Place the disc in the center of the tray with the tabet side lacing up.
3. Press the Load/Eject button. The disc lray will be retracted.
Removing 3 Disc
1. Press the Load/Ewe! button. The disc tray will be ejected.
2. Removethe disc.
3. Press the Load/Eject humans The disc tray will‘be retracled.
WA RNING:
Do not lordbly push the disc tray in by hand. Doing so may result in damage.
Note:
ll an steel prohibit command has been received trom the computer. the
disc (ray will not be ejecled even ii lhe Load/Ejeci button is pressed.
Emergency Eject
The procedure described below can be used to remove a disc [tom the
DVD-ROM reader ii the Load/Eject button is disabled by software or a
power iaiiure occurs.
1. Turn on the power lo the compute! installed the DVD»ROM reader.
2. The disc lhal is inside may still be spinnirg. Please wait Iminule uniii ii
stops to spin cenainty.
3. insert a steel rod as paper clip and so on that is straightend (abcui
1.3mm in diameter) into the emergency eject hole and push slowly.
The disc tray is ejected by about tcm. Pull it all the way open by hand.
