    5/25 2. User’s manual   Keyless Entry System  Press the remote control switch, and all doors and boot will be locked or unlocked as desired.     LOCK switch    BOOT RELEASE switch* indicator lamp    PANIC switch UNLOCK switch   *OPTION  To lock   Press the LOCK switch, and all doors will be locked. To unlock Press the UNLOCK switch once, and driver’s door will be unlock. The remaining door will be unlocked when you push the button a second time. To boot release   Press the BOOT RELEASE switch twice, and boot will be released.  PANIC MODE When you press the PANIC button, the vehicle starts sounding the horn and flashing the headlight intermittently. These functions continue for 180 seconds unless any of the buttons on the transmitter are pressed.  △ NOTE   The indicator lamp comes on each time a switch is pressed.   If the UNLOCK switch is pressed and any of the doors is not opened within approximately 30 seconds, relocking will automatically occur.     The keyless entry system does not operate in the following conditions: • The key is left in the key cylinder. • The doors are open.    The remote control switch will operate within about few meters from the vehicle.     However, the operating range of the remote control switch may change if the vehicle is    located near a power station, or radio/TV broadcasting station.   If either of the following problems occurs, the battery may be exhausted. • The remote control switch is operated at the correct distance from the vehicle,  but the doors and boot are not locked/unlocked in response. • The indicator lamp is dim or does not come on.     6/25 Immobilizer System  The immobilizer system is designed to reduce significantly the possibility of vehicle theft. The purpose of the system is to immobilize the vehicle if an invalid start attempt. A valid start attempt can only be achieved by using a key “registered” to the immobilizer system.  △ NOTE   In the following cases, the vehicle may not be able to receive the registered ID code from       the registered key and the motor may not start. • When the key contacts or is close to other metallic or magnetic object. • When the key grip contact metal of another key. • When the key contacts or is close to other immobilizing keys( including keys of     other vehicles).     In cases like these, remove the object or additional key from the vehicle key and turn the key     back to “ACC” or “LOCK” position. Then try again to start the motor.       △ CAUTION   Don’t make any alternations or additions to the remote control switch and immobilizer system; alternations or additions could cause failure of their.
