Welcome to Mu-so® and congratulations on your purchase. Mu-so and Mu-so Qb bring renowned Naim Audio
performance to compact, all-in-one music players for the first time and combine exceptional performance with a
comprehensive collection of audio inputs and sources. With Mu-so and Mu-so Qb you can:
•
Listen to thousands of internet radio stations.
•
Play audio using AirPlay®.
•	Play audio using Spotify® Connect (a Spotify® Premium subscription is required) and TIDAL (a TIDAL
subscription is required).
•
Play audio wirelessly using Bluetooth® with AAC and aptX® encoding from any compatible playback
device.
•
Play audio from UPnP™ music servers.
•
Play audio from or stream audio to other Naim streaming products.
•
Play audio stored on your iPod®, iPhone®, iPad® and other USB memory devices via a USB connection.
•	Play analogue or digital audio using a wired connection from any playback device with a suitable audio
output socket.
1. Getting Started
This manual provides comprehensive information on all
Mu-so and Mu-so Qb features and facilities and will enable
you to setup your Mu-so or Mu-so Qb perfectly to integrate
with your existing home entertainment systems and media.
If you wish to play some music immediately, the Quick Start
Guide found within its document pack will guide you quickly
through the process of network and Bluetooth connection.

Mu-so and Mu-so Qb can be controlled from either their
combined touch panel and rotary control, their remote
control handset (not Mu-so Qb) or the free Naim iOS or
Android app. The Naim App offers the most comprehensive
set of control and setup facilities and we strongly
recommend that before you begin to use your Mu-so or
Mu-so Qb you download and install the app on your iOS or
Android device. The Naim App can be found easily in both
the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.

In order for Mu-so to connect to the internet via a local
wireless network it must be configured with the wireless
network name (SSID) and password (security key). There

5.2 The Mu-so Remote Control Handset
Note: Mu-so Qb is not supplied with a remote control
handset.
Mu-so is supplied with a remote control handset that
provides access to basic control functions. The handset
battery is ready-fitted, however an insulating tab must
be removed before the handset can be used. Remove the
battery cover and pull the transparent tab away from the
battery.
Unreliable operation of the remote handset is most likely
duo to an exhausted battery. Replacement batteries of the
CR2032 type required are widely available. Take care to fit
the replacement battery with the correct polarity.

est fournie pour votre sécurité. Si la fiche fournie n’est pas appropriée pour votre prise, veuillez
consulter un électricien afin de remplacer la prise obsolète.
10. 	Protéger le cordon d’alimentation de façon à ce qu’il ne puisse pas être écrasé ou perforé, en
particulier au niveau des fiches, des prises de courant et à l’endroit où il sort de l’appareil.
11. Utiliser uniquement les accessoires/pièces recommandés par le fabricant.

Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies
1. 	Deze instructies lezen – Alle veiligheids- en bedieningsinstructies moeten zijn gelezen alvorens
dit product in gebruik te nemen.
2. 	Deze instructies bewaren – Bewaar de veiligheids- en bedieningsinstructies, zodat u ze later nog
kunt raadplegen
3. 	Rekening houden met alle waarschuwingen – U dient rekening te houden met alle
waarschuwingen op het apparaat en in de gebruiksaanwijzing.

5. 	Dit apparaat niet in de buurt van water gebruiken – Het apparaat mag nooit in de buurt van water
worden gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld in een natte kelder, in de buurt van een zwembad enzovoort.
6. Uitsluitend met een droge doek reinigen.
7. 	De ventilatieopeningen nooit blokkeren. Het apparaat installeren volgens de instructies van de
fabrikant.
8. 	Het apparaat niet installeren in de buurt van warmtebronnen zoals radiatoren, ventilatieroosters,
fornuizen of andere apparaten (inclusief versterkers) die warmte produceren.
9. 	Nooit het veiligheidsdoel van de gepolariseerde stekker omzeilen. Een gepolariseerde stekker
heeft twee pennen en de ene is breder dan de andere. De brede pen, of een derde pen, is voor
uw eigen veiligheid aangebracht. Als de meegeleverde stekker niet in uw stopcontact past, dient
u een elektricien te vragen het oude stopcontact te vervangen.
10. 	Voorkomen dat er op het netsnoer kan worden gelopen en dat het bekneld kan raken, vooral bij
de stekkers, stopcontacten en het punt waar het snoer uit het apparaat komt.
11. Uitsluitend door de producent gespecificeerde hulpstukken/accessoires gebruiken.
12. 	Uitsluitend gebruiken met een door de producent gespecificeerd(e) of met het apparaat
verkocht(e) verrijdbaar onderstel, standaard, drievoet of tafel. Wanneer een verrijdbaar
onderstel of rek wordt gebruikt, altijd voorzichtig zijn wanneer u de combinatie van
verrijdbaar onderstel en apparaat verplaatst; dit om letsel door omvallen te voorkomen.
13.	Tijdens onweer of wanneer het apparaat langere tijd niet zal worden gebruikt altijd de stekker uit
het stopcontact halen.
14. 	A lle servicebeurten moeten door gediplomeerd onderhoudspersoneel worden uitgevoerd. Het
apparaat heeft een servicebeurt nodig als het op enige wijze is beschadigd, bijvoorbeeld als het
netsnoer of de stekker is beschadigd, er vloeistof in het apparaat is geknoeid of als er iets in het
apparaat is gevallen, als het is blootgesteld aan regen of vocht, niet normaal werkt of is gevallen.
15. 	LET OP: De instructies voor servicebeurten zijn uitsluitend bedoeld voor gediplomeerd
onderhoudspersoneel. Om het risico van elektrische schok te beperken, mogen geen
onderhoudswerkzaamheden worden uitgevoerd anders dan die welke in de bedieningsinstructies
worden beschreven, tenzij u bevoegd bent om dit te doen.
16. 	D it apparaat niet installeren op een plek met een beperkte ruimte en het niet inbouwen in
een boekenkast of een soortgelijke besloten ruimte. De apparatuur moet altijd goed worden
geventileerd. Nooit de ventilatie belemmeren door de ventilatieopeningen af te dekken met
dingen zoals kranten, tafelkleden, gordijnen enz.
17. 	WAARSCHUWING: Uitsluitend de door de fabrikant gespecificeerde hulpstukken/accessoires
(batterij enz.) gebruiken.
18.	WAARSCHUWING: De elektrische en veiligheidsinformatie aan de onderkant van de behuizing
controleren alvorens het apparaat te installeren en bedienen.
19. 	WAARSCHUWING: Om het risico van brand of een elektrische schok te beperken, mag dit
apparaat nooit aan regen of vocht worden blootgesteld. Het apparaat mag nooit worden
blootgesteld aan druppels of spetters en er mogen nooit met water gevulde voorwerpen, zoals
vazen, op worden geplaatst.
20. 	WAARSCHUWING: De koppelkabel wordt gebruikt om de elektrische voeding van het
apparaat af te sluiten en deze dient makkelijk bereikbaar te zijn.
21. 	Wanneer het apparaat niet wordt gebruik of als het wordt verplaatst, voorzichtig omgaan met
het netsnoer en de stekkers en een kabelbandje of iets soortgelijks om het netsnoer binden.
Het bandje mag geen scherpe randen en dergelijke hebben, die het netsnoer zouden kunnen
beschadigen. Wanneer u het apparaat weer in gebruik neemt, controleren dat het netsnoer en
de stekkers niet beschadigd zijn. Als het netsnoer en/of de stekkers beschadigd zijn, moeten
deze worden vervangen door de door de fabrikant gespecificeerde snoeren of stekkers, of door
snoeren en stekkers van hetzelfde type als het origineel.

Dit product kan worden gerecycled. Producten met dit symbool mogen NIET met het
normale huisvuil worden weggeworpen. Wanneer het product wordt afgedankt, moet het
worden ingeleverd bij een aangewezen inzamelpunt voor het recyclen van elektrische en
elektronische apparatuur. Informatie over inzamelpunten en inzameling is verkrijgbaar

voor verlies of schade voortvloeiend uit het gebruik van dit product, zij het reële, incidentele of
gevolgschade, uitdrukkelijk van de hand. Naim Audio Limited, haar agenten en vertegenwoordigers
kunnen niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor verlies van gegevens of inhoud van een Naim-/

Importanti istruzioni di sicurezza

5. 	Non utilizzare questo dispositivo in prossimità dell’acqua. Il dispositivo non deve essere utilizzato

di due lamelle, una più larga dell’altra. La seconda, o terzo polo, serve a garantire la sicurezza
dell’utente. Nel caso in cui la spina in dotazione non sia compatibile con la presa, rivolgersi a un
elettricista per la sostituzione della presa obsoleta.
10. 	Proteggere il cavo di alimentazione, affinché non venga calpestato o schiacciato, in particolare in
prossimità di spine, prese e nel punto in cui fuoriesce dal dispositivo.
11. Utilizzare solo gli accessori/strumenti di corredo indicati dal produttore.
12. 	Utilizzare esclusivamente con il carrello, il supporto, il cavalletto, il sostegno o il piano
di appoggio indicati dal produttore o in vendita con l’impianto. Nel caso in cui venga
utilizzato un carrello o una struttura di sostegno, è necessario prestare attenzione
durante lo spostamento dell’impianto per evitare lesioni da caduta.
13.	In caso di temporali con fulmini o di mancato utilizzo per un periodo di tempo prolungato,
scollegare l’impianto dall’alimentazione.

Важные инструкции по технике безопасности

2. 	Сохраните настоящие инструкции – Все инструкции по технике безопасности и эксплуатации
следует сохранять для последующего использования.
3. 	Обратите внимание на все предупреждения – В обязательном порядке необходимо обращать
внимание на все предупреждения на устройстве и в инструкциях по эксплуатации.
4. 	Следуйте всем указаниям – Необходимо соблюдать все инструкции по эксплуатации и
использованию устройства.
5. 	Не допускайте использования данного прибора около воды – Не следует использовать устройство
около воды или во влажном месте, например, в подвале с высокой влажностью, вблизи бассейна
или в подобных местах.
6. Чистку следует осуществлять только сухой тряпкой.
7. 	Не закрывайте доступ к вентиляционным отверстиям. Установку следует выполнять в соответствии
с указаниями изготовителя.
8. 	Не допускается установка прибора вблизи источников тепла, например, радиаторов, батарей
отопления, печей и других устройств (в том числе усилителей), вырабатывающих тепло.
9. 	Не следует игнорировать функцию безопасности, обеспечиваемую вилкой с фиксированным
положением введения в розетку. Вилка с фиксированным положением введения в розетку
оснащена двумя контактами, один из которых шире другого. Широкий ножевой и третий штыревой
контакты предназначены для обеспечения вашей безопасности. Если поставляемая в комплекте
вилка не входит в розетку, обратитесь к электрику для замены устаревшей розетки.
