1 Introduction
This document describes the general functions of Vitality products family, and how the GlowPack product
is added to this family. It also provides the basic instructions of how the product is used, including the
hardware and software interfaces.
2 Vitality Products Overview
The Vitality product family includes personal Reminder Light and GlowCap units. The GlowCap units are
filled with medicine from Pharmacy. The dose time is pre-programmed via a web interface to the Vitality
servers by the doctors/nurses/medical specialists. When the Reminder Light is inserted into the power
outlet at home, it will automatically search for a cellular network signal, connect to Vitality servers, and
download the latest medical dose information. When it is time for a dose, the GlowCap device will activate
to remind the patient to take the medicine. Patients can receive additional reminders via a phone call and/or
text message to the patient’s mobile phone. Currently, both Reminder Light and GlowCap devices have
been FCC proved. The GlowPack device is a device which can be added to the Vitality family product. The
usage instructions for the GlowPack are provided in Chapter 4.

4 GlowPack Function Description
The GlowPack device works together with a Reminder Light device. The Reminder Light device is already
certified by FCC (FCC ID: YOC373200). The GlowPack module is installed inside a Bag and used to store
medicine that is pre-filled inside packs. This is the situation when the original GlowCap device cannot be
used to store the medicine. It is potentially possible to contain other items inside the bag for general
reminding function as long as the regular bag operation is not interfered.

4.1 Hardware
The GlowPack module is pre-installed inside the bag. As with GlowCaps, the medical dose time is preprogrammed by doctors/nurses/medical specialists using the web interface to the Vitality servers. The
Reminder Light will download this information from the servers, connecting via the cellular network.
When it is time for a dose, the Reminder Light will pulse orange, and the LED in the GlowPack device will
also pulse as an indicator. After a certain period is elapsed and if the dose has not been taken, the
GlowPack will also play a quick sound pulse to remind the patient. Alternative reminding methods include
placing a call to a and texting a message to the patient’s mobile phone.
