READ key - used to interrogate a meter :
(transmits captured read via RF)
1. Position probe end onto remote pad.
2. Press the READ key
A short audible tone accompanies display
of meter data……
S:=meter reading S:123455 W ONE
I:= encoder ID # I: 12345678 00
This data remains on the screen until ;
another read is captured, a key is pressed,
or the unit powers down.
REVIEW key - used to review / re-transmit
the currently displayed reading. May review
/ re-transmit up to the last five captured
readings.
1. Press REVIEW to see the previously
captured readings.
When a low battery is detected, a message
will appear;
LOW BATTERY
Recharge the battery if you see this message.
The display will go blank after about 4
minutes of no activity.
Press REVIEW to re-start.
READING ERROR
Usually caused by;
a. end probe not aligned with remote pad
b. no encoder is connected to remote pad
c. encoder is not connected properly to
remote pad
d. connecting wire is cut or broken
Other Errors
SHORT : displayed as an “H”
indicates odometer contains a short circuit.
Displayed as………S: 12HH55
OPEN : displayed as a “-“ (dash)
indicates odometer contains an open circuit.
Displayed as………S: 12--55
RECHARGING : Use charger supplied with
this unit only. During daily use, recharge the
unit overnight, every night. During periods
of storage or "non-use", do not charge the
unit. Then, 12 hours prior to the next use,
recharge the unit.
