Component Checklist To protect components from damage, they may be packed in the Styrofoam lra y out of plain sight. Please search the Styrofoam tray and remove all or the components listed below. Transmitter Setup Battery Instatlation . Locate the Transmitter battery compartment on the bottom of the Transmitter . Move the battery compartment look towards the battery compartment and pull compartment cover to remove. . insert 4 “AA "batteries into the battery compartment as shown. Be sure that the (+1 and l“) polarity markings on the batteries match the (+) and H on the battery compartment. . Replace the battery compartment cover and make certain that the battery compartment lock “snaps" into place. Note: When replacing Transmitter batteries Do not mix old and new batteries. Locate the 4 Band Select Switch on the Transmitter. Notice that the 4 Band settings on Transmitter match the 4 Band Settings found inside the vehicle . Set Switch to desired position. . Locate 4 Bend Setect Switch inside the vehicle Battery Compartment. The Battery Pack may need to be removed it previously installed. (see pg, 4} . Set Switch to match setting on Transmitter. H 4 Band Select Switch Driving Tips IMPORTANT! Before driving the vehicle please take a moment to read the caution statement on page one of this manual. Following these cautions will help to protect your investment and property and avoid injury to yourself or others. Getting Ready to Drive 1. Locate a suitable area for driving. The area should be iree irom waterand debris. 2. ALWAYS switch on the liansmiiterpower first! Doing so will avoid loss of vehicle control. Transmitter Power Switch is located on the lronl oi the Transmitter: {see pg. 6) Move Power switch to the “On” position. . Turn the vehicle upside down and locate the vehicle power switch on the bottom of the chassis. Steering and Braking Start out slowly. This vehicle is equipped with digital proportional speed and steering. This means that you can drive as slowly or as fast as you wish. Place the vehicle on the driving surface. Slightly pull the throttte trigger (drive position J and begin to drive the car at a slow speed in order to learn how it will respond. Make certain that the vehicle and transmitter Oil/OFF switches are in the “ON” posrtion Problem - Vehicle moves by itself or exhibits reduced range from transmitter Adjust the throttle trim by turning the throttle trim control knob ioca ted on the transmitter » Make certain there is no outside radio interference in your area The best way to test this is to take the vehicle as far away from radio towers, eiectn'cal lines or tall buildings as possible. it the vehicle operates correctly in the new area, radio interference was the problem.
