Please search styrofoam tray and remove all of the components listed below. Transmitter 2Vehicie Telesco ic Vehicle Display - stand Antenna Transmi ter Tubes Antenna 4 “AA" batteries included in transmitter TO REMOVE DISPLAY STAND: Carelully lay stand and vehicle on their side. Find the Battery Compartment Lock which is used to hold the stand in place. Move the lock Battery Compartment LOCk to the unlocked position as shown. Slide the display stand toward the lock and pull away from vehicle. IMPORTANT! New Bright GV NiCd battery packs are NOTcharged prior to shipment and must be charged before the first use. mmwrmmamfis‘ Use of a New Bright 6V NiCd rechargeable battery pack and charging unit is recommended. New Bright 6V NiCd rechargeable battery packs are specifically designed to meet this vehicle requirements. The rechargeable battery pack must be charged before the initial use. New Bright 6V NiCd battery packs take only four hours to charge and are good for up to 35 minutes run time depending on terrain and driving style. Charging the Battery Pack IMPORTANT! New Bright 6V NiCd battery packs are NOTcharged prior to shipping and must be charged before the first use. Standard 110/120V household electrical outlet Release Lever Battery Pack 1. Plug the Charger into a standard household 110/120V electrical outlet. 2. Insert the 6V NiCd Battery Pack into the slot as shown above. Make certain that the Plus (+) Minus (—) markings on the Battery Pack match the markings on the Charger. 3. Allow the Batten! Pack to charge for a minimum of 8 hours on the initial two charges. Subsequent charges require only 4 hours. 4. Lift Release Lever to remove charged Battery Pack. Remove Charger from electrical outlet when not in use. NOTE: Battery Packs will become warm after charging or during use. Make certain to allow the Battery Pack to cool before recharging. Charging a warm Battery Pack will greatly reduce it's life. ATTENTION PARENTS: The batten! charger & battery pack need to be periodically examined for potential hazards. Any potentially hazardous parts need to be repaired or replaced. Battery Pack Installation in Vehicle Vehicle Chassis Battery Compartment ~ OnIOfi switch 1. Carefully lay the vehicle on its side and locate the battery compartment which is on the bottom of the vehicle chassis. 2. Hotate the Battery Compartment Lock Metal contacts so it is in the “open" position. Battery Compartment Lock 3. Take a moment to examine the Battery Pack. You will notice that it has two “l.“ shaped notches on the back part of each side. These notches lock into identical notches in the Battery Compartment. You will also notice two Metal Contacts on one end. \‘L" shaped When the Battery Pack is properly installed into the Battery Compartment, notches these Metal Contacts will touch two metal contacts in the Battery Compartment. 4. insert the fully charged 6V NiCd Battew Pack into the Battery Compartment so that the Battery Pack “ " Shaped Notches look into the “I." Shaped Notches in the Battery Compartment. The Metal Contacts on the Battery Pack should be touching the Metal Contacts in the Battery Compartment. 5. Rotate the Battery Compartment Lock so that it is in the locked posrtion. 6. Move the On/Ott switch to the “On” position to operate vehicle. Move the switch back to the “Off" position when not in use. Transmitter Battery Installation Battery Compartment . Locate the Battery Compartment which is on the back of the Transmitter. Battery Compartment . Move the Battery Compartment Lock . Lock towards the Battery Compartment and remove the 5 Battery Battery Compartment Cover. ‘ Compartment Cover . Insert 4 “AA" size alkaline batteries. ' Make certain the plus (+) and minus (—) markings on the batteries are in the same position as the plus (+) minus (—) markings inside the Battery Compartment. . Replace Battery Compartment Cover making certain that the Battery Compartment Lock has “snapped” into the locked position. Note: When replacing Transmitter batteries. Use only Alkaline batteries. Trouble Shooting and Support 90% of all difficulties experienced with radio controlled vehicles are due to either weak batteries or batteries that have been installed incorrectly. When batteries become weak, the vehicle may not necessarily stop completely but may exhibit slow response, slow speed or erratic behavior. Problem- Vehicle does not move or moves slowly. -Make certain there are fresh alkaline batteries in the transmitter and that they have been installed in the correct position.
