Component Check List
To protect components from damage, they may be packed in the styroloam tray out of
plain sight. Please search styrofoam tray and remove all of the components listed below.

TO REMOVE DISPLAY STAND:
Carelully lay stand and vehicle on their side.
Find the Battery Compartment Lock which is
used to hold the stand in place. Move the lock Battery Compartment LOCk
to the unlocked position as shown. Slide the display
stand toward the lock and pull away from vehicle.
IMPORTANT!
New Bright GV NiCd battery packs
are NOTcharged prior to shipment
and must be charged before the first use.

Use of a New Bright 6V NiCd rechargeable
battery pack and charging unit is recommended.
New Bright 6V NiCd rechargeable battery packs are specifically designed to meet
this vehicle requirements. The rechargeable battery pack must be charged before the
initial use. New Bright 6V NiCd battery packs take only four hours to charge and are
good for up to 35 minutes run time depending on terrain and driving style.
Charging the Battery Pack
IMPORTANT!
New Bright 6V NiCd battery packs
are NOTcharged prior to shipping
and must be charged before the first use.

Battery Pack
1. Plug the Charger into a standard household 110/120V electrical outlet.
2. Insert the 6V NiCd Battery Pack into the slot as shown above. Make certain that
the Plus (+) Minus (—) markings on the Battery Pack match the markings
on the Charger.
3. Allow the Batten! Pack to charge for a minimum of 8 hours on the initial two
charges. Subsequent charges require only 4 hours.
4. Lift Release Lever to remove charged Battery Pack. Remove Charger from
electrical outlet when not in use.
NOTE: Battery Packs will become warm after charging or during use. Make certain to
allow the Battery Pack to cool before recharging. Charging a warm Battery Pack will
greatly reduce it's life.
ATTENTION PARENTS:
The batten! charger & battery pack need to be periodically examined for potential hazards.
Any potentially hazardous parts need to be repaired or replaced.
Battery Pack Installation in Vehicle
Vehicle Chassis Battery Compartment ~

1. Carefully lay the vehicle on its side and locate
the battery compartment which is on the bottom
of the vehicle chassis.
2. Hotate the Battery Compartment Lock Metal contacts
so it is in the “open" position.

3. Take a moment to examine the Battery Pack.
You will notice that it has two “l.“ shaped notches
on the back part of each side. These notches lock
into identical notches in the Battery Compartment.
You will also notice two Metal Contacts on one end. \‘L" shaped
When the Battery Pack is properly installed into the Battery Compartment, notches
these Metal Contacts will touch two metal contacts in the Battery Compartment.
4. insert the fully charged 6V NiCd Battew Pack into the Battery Compartment so that
the Battery Pack “ " Shaped Notches look into the “I." Shaped Notches in the Battery
Compartment. The Metal Contacts on the Battery Pack should be touching the Metal
Contacts in the Battery Compartment.
5. Rotate the Battery Compartment Lock so that it is in the locked posrtion.
6. Move the On/Ott switch to the “On” position to operate vehicle. Move the switch back
to the “Off" position when not in use.

Make certain the plus (+) and minus (—) markings on the batteries are in the
same position as the plus (+) minus (—) markings inside the Battery
Compartment.

Note: When replacing Transmitter batteries.
Use only Alkaline batteries.
Do not mix old and new batteries.

Each vehicle and transmitter is marked with either 27MHz or 49MHz. A transmitter of one frequency cannot
control a vehicle of another frequency. Avoid operating this vehicle within 100 feet of another vehicle of the

Trouble Shooting and Support
90% of all difficulties experienced with radio controlled vehicles
are due to either weak batteries or batteries that have been installed incorrectly.
When batteries become weak, the vehicle may not necessarily stop completely
but may exhibit slow response, slow speed or erratic behavior.
Problem- Vehicle does not move or moves slowly.
-Make certain there are fresh alkaline batteries in the transmitter and that they have been
installed in the correct position.
The plus (+) and minus l—l markings on the alkaline batteries should be in the same position
as the plus (+) minus (—) markings in the battery compartment.
-Make certain that the rechargeable Battery Pack has been fully charged.
—Make certain that the Battery Pack has been installed in the vehicle

-Make certain there is no outside radio interference in your area. The best way to test this is to
take the vehicle as tar away from radio towers, electrical lines or tall buildings as possible. it

-Make certain that the Transmitter Antenna is securely attached to the transmitter.
Problem- Vehicle exhibits low range from the transmitter.
-Make certain the transmitter antenna is securely mounted to the transmitter
and fully extended.
