1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing Geekplay ARcher, a high-tech AR gaming toy!
ARcher is a bow-shaped gaming toy developed based on Augmented Reality technology. Slot
your phone in and load up the (free) companion game, called “Geekplay ARcher” and you’re
off to go. Two main categories of games are included in the app: AR games and non-AR
games. Your aim is detected by the smartphone’s gyroscope and you fire by pulling the
bowstring.
Before your great adventure with ARcher, please read this manual carefully and keep it in a
safe place for future reference. If you need any further assistance, please contact our

2.1 App Preparation
System Requirements
Requires gyroscope in your smartphone. Apple® devices must be running iOS 9.0
or above. Android™ devices must be running Android™ 4.4 or above.

Note: Make sure the app you download comes with the following icon
2.2 Bluetooth Pairing
1) Unscrew the battery cover of ARcher, load 2 x AAA batteries in, and close the battery cover;
2) Enable the Bluetooth of your smartphone;
3) Tap to open the app Geekplay ARcher. Pull the string and hold it after “Waiting for
connection” shows on the screen. Once pairing is done, you will see the main interface.
2.3 Phone Installation
Pull open the phone holder to fit your smartphone in. The phone holder is padded with foam

to protect your phone from scratching and can be pulled open up to 3.5 inch (9cm).
2.4 App & ARcher Operation
Tips:
In 「Hunter’s Missions」, players need to take several factors into consideration: the movement
path of your target, the parabola regularity, and the wind, etc. You might fail if simply pointing
the arrowhead at the target. Let’s get started and unlock the correct method to succeed!
Tap to choose the game you want to play. Multiple games are provided in ARcher app, including
The Last Guardian, Dragon Defense, Hunter’s Missions, The Walkers, each with multiple levels
to choose from.
2.4.1 Armory
In every game included, players can set different configuration of the arrow and the bow in
Armory, including Arrow, Shaft, Feather, and Bow.

Includes multiple levels, each with different missions and opponent types. Tap to enter the
unlocked level and complete the mission(s) to guard your castle.
➢ Dragon Defense (AR)
Dragon Defense is an AR game in which players will be using their actual life scene captured
by the phone camera as the gaming background. Includes multiple levels, each with different
missions and opponent-dragon types. Tap to enter the unlocked level and complete the
mission(s) to protect your world from evil dragons.

5. Precaution
To reduce the risk of damage or injury, do not attempt to disassemble the shell unless
with technical assistance except for battery removal or replacement;
Do not place ARcher near any heat sources;
Remove batteries when ARcher will not be used for a long time;
Do not aim ARcher at other’s face directly.
6. Warranty and Support
6.1 Warranty
This product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use by
the original purchaser for 30 days after the date of purchase from an authorized retailer.
THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES.
EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to abuse,
misuse, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration,
accident, Acts of God (such as floods or lightning), or excess voltage or current; (b) improper
or incorrectly performed repairs by non-authorized service facilities; (c) consumables such as
fuses or batteries; (d) ordinary wear and tear or cosmetic damage; (e) transportation,
shipping or insurance costs; (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up service,
adjustment or reinstallation; (g) claims by persons other than the original purchaser; and (h)
2nd hand purchase or purchase from a non-authorized seller/distributor

Q1: Connection Failed
A:
Make Sure 1) the Bluetooth of your smartphone has been enabled; 2) the ARcher has been
loaded with batteries.
If both 1) and 2) are positive, re-start the app and try to connect again.
Q2: Why I just can’ t hit my target?
A:
To bring realistic gaming experience, games included in ARcher will not provide an aim point
which is considered to be a way to lower the difficulties.
In this case, it is crucial to follow the parabola regularity while shooting and foresee the
movement path of your target during a game.
Players can use the training session to get familiar with the game.
