Theparking lights will flash 2 times, indicating the system is armed, has locked thedoors (if equipped and connected) and activated the starter disable feature. TheLED status indicator will blink steadily, once per second.NOTE: The system is defaulted with Silent Choice enabled, which requires asecond press of the   button to activate an audible arming response from thevehicle. Bypassing The Shock SensorThere are 3 additional modes of operation in which your system will react to theshock sensor, FULL TRIGGER ONLY,  ALL OFF, or CITY MODE.Standard Shock - Press   once to arm the system, the shock sensor willbe fully active.Full Trigger Only - Pressing   &    together within 5 seconds will set thesystem to Full Trigger Only in which the system will ignore the light touchsetting.All Off - Pressing   &    again within 5 seconds will set the system toAll Off.  In this mode the system will not react to the shock sensor andthe 2 way LCD remote will display the shock sensor icon.City Mode - Pressing   &    again within 5 seconds will set the systemto City Mode. In this mode the light touch horn output is extended to a full10 seconds and full trigger horn output is shortened to 15 seconds, no iconis displayed.NOTE: The system will only change the shock sensor setting for one arm cycleand will be defaulted back to normal operation the next time the system is armed.*Throughout this manual, ‘press’ refers to pressing for less than 1 second; ‘press and hold’ refers to pressing for morethan 2 seconds.Using Your Remote Control Using the 2 Way Remote Control for the First Time.The 2 way remote control has been shipped in Battery Save Mode to conservebattery power and will be necessary for you to turn off battery save mode beforeusing the remote for normal operation. It is also recommended that you fully chargethe battery before use. Refer to the additional 2 way remote control featuressection of this manual for details.

The system will sound 5 times atlow volume, increasing in volume each time the button is pressed.1 Way Transmitter - Press and release  .2 Way Transmitter - Press and release   +  . Using the Personal Protection Alarm (Panic)Press and hold the button(s) shown below for 3 seconds to activate the personalprotection alarm . During panic mode, the normal function of the transmitter buttonswill be suspended. The transmitter’s   and   buttons can be used to lock andunlock the door (if the option is installed). To stop the alarm, press and hold thebutton(s) on the transmitter again for 3 seconds. The system will automaticallystop after 30 seconds.1 Way Transmitter - Press and hold   for 3 seconds.2 Way Transmitter - Press and hold   +   for 3 seconds. Two Stage Door Unlock (Optional)If this feature is enabled on your system, pressing the    button one time willunlock only the driver’s door. Press   again to unlock the remaining doors. Eliminating Arm / Disarm Notification ChirpsSystem ARM/DISARM chirps can be toggled ON or OFF without entering theprogramming feature banks.1. Turn the ignition ON then OFF.2. Press and release the valet/programming button 3 times. The system willrespond with 1 chirp for ON or 2 chirps for OFF. Disarming the Security SystemTo disarm the system press the   button. The parking lights will flash 1 time,indicating the system is disarmed and has unlocked the doors (if equipped andconnected).NOTE: The system is defaulted with Silent Choice enabled, which requires asecond press of the   button to activate an audible arming response from thevehicle.

Activating the Trunk Release Feature (Optional)If this feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the   button for 3seconds will open the vehicle’s trunk or hatch. Activating Optional AUX 1 (Optional)This feature can be programmed for a wide range of functions like power windowor sunroof automation, please consult your installing dealer to determine thefunctionality of your system.1 Way Transmitter - Press and hold   for 3 seconds.2 Way Transmitter - Press and hold   +   for 3 seconds. Turning on the Vehicle’s Headlights (Optional)If this feature is enabled on your system, pressing and holding the   button for 3seconds will turn on the vehicle’s headlights for 30 seconds. Press and hold again for 3 seconds to turn off the headlights prior to the 30 second time limit.

Manually Overriding the Security SystemIf your transmitter is lost or disabled, it will be necessary use the emergencyoverride button to turn the security system off.  There are two types ofemergency override procedures.  Check with your installing dealer to find outwhat has been activated on your system.Standard Emergency Override Procedure:1.  Open the vehicle door.  The alarm will sound.2.  Turn the ignition key to the ON position.3.  Within 5 seconds, press and release the valet button.The alarm system will stop sounding and enter the (by-passed) mode.  You cannow start and operate the vehicle normally. 2 Car ModeIt is possible for your remote transmitter to control 2 vehicles provided the bothare equipped with compatible security or remote start systems and yourtransmitter has been programmed to the additional vehicle’s system. To operatethe additional vehicle you must first enter 2 car mode from the remote control.Once in 2 car mode, the remote control will operate only the second vehicle, theoriginal vehicle will have no response from the remote. To enter or exit 2 carmode, refer to the transmitters advanced functions menu section of this manual. Valet ModeTo engage valet mode:1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.2. Press and hold the valet button for 5 seconds.3. The LED will light solid indicating that the system is in valet mode.When valet mode is activated the status LED will light solid, and all securityfunctions will be disabled.To disengage valet mode:1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.2. Press and release the valet button.3. The LED will turn off indicating that the system has exited valet mode.
72012 Audiovox Electronics Corporation. All rights reserved. Programming Your Personal Override Code1.  Make sure the security system is disarmed.2.  Turn the ignition key to the ON position.3.  Within 10 seconds press and release the valet button 3 times.4.  Within 10 seconds turn the ignition key OFF then ON 3 times (Thehorn will honk and the lights will flash 1 time).5.  Within 10 seconds press and release the valet button thenumber of times corresponding with the first digit of your personalcode (1-9).6.  Within 10 seconds turn the ignition key OFF then ON.7.  Within 10 seconds press and release the valet button the number oftimes corresponding with the second digit of you personal code (1-9).8.  Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF.9.  You will notice the LED flash a number of times corresponding with thecode you entered.Note: If 15 seconds of inactivity passes the system will abort programming.Note: Do not lose your “Personal Override Code”.  Reprogramming anew code without the original code can only be performed by anauthorized dealer.Coded Emergency Override Procedure:The system has an optional override mode that allows you to program a 2 digitpersonal code using the emergency override button offering a higher level ofsecurity.  This feature must be enabled by your installing dealer, the defaultoverride code is 11.1.  Enter the vehicle (the security system will trigger).2.  Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.3.  Within 5 seconds press the valet button the number of timescorresponding to the first digit of your personal code (Default digit is1).4.  Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF, then ON.5.  Within 5 seconds press the valet button the number of timescorresponding to the second digit of your personal code (Default digitis 1).6.  Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF, then ON.7.  If entered correctly the security system will turn off.8.  Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.

Preheating or Precooling the Vehicle’s interiorBefore exiting the vehicle, set the temperature controls to the desired setting andoperation.  After the system starts the vehicle, the heater or air conditioner willactivate and heat or cool the vehicle’s interior to your setting. Using the “Quick-stop” FeatureIf you want to make a short stop and keep your vehicle running (to keep theinterior warm or cool), the quick-stop feature allows you to do this while keepingyour vehicle secure and your keys with you.To engage quick stop:1.  Stop the vehicle and place the transmission in PARK.2.  With your foot off the brake pedal, press and release the   button 2times within 2 seconds. The LED will flash 3 times to confirm quick stop isentered. If your vehicle has a manual transmission, set the parking brakeafter this step to prevent activating manual transmission ready mode.3.  Remove the keys from the ignition and exit the vehicle. Press thebutton to lock the vehicle’s doors if desired.NOTE:  Do not leave children or animals unattended in the vehicle when using thequick-stop feature.Using Your Remote Vehicle Starter Remote Starting Your VehicleTo activate the remote vehicle start function, press and release the   button 2times within 2 seconds.  The system will sound, the parking lights will flash 1 timeand the system will check the vehicle to ensure it is safe to start.  If all safetyparameters are correct, the vehicle will start within 5 seconds.  The vehicle’sparking lights will turn on (or flash depending on system settings) as a visualindication that the vehicle has started and is running.  Press and hold the   buttonfor 3 seconds to turn the vehicle off.If your vehicle stalls or does not start, the system will pause 3 seconds, then try 3more times to start the vehicle (a total of 4 attempts).  The system will pause 3seconds between each start attempt.  If the vehicle does not start after the 4thattempt, the system will abort the remote vehicle start process. Entering the Vehicle while it is Running via Remote Vehicle Start1.  Unlock the vehicle’s doors.2.  Enter the vehicle.  DO NOT PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL!3.  Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn to the ON or RUN position.4.  Press the brake pedal.  The remote vehicle starter will disengage andthe vehicle will operate normally.

Turbo TimerThis option will keep the engine running to allow the vehicle’s turbo to properly cooldown before shutting the engine off.To engage the turbo timer feature:1.  With the vehicle running via the ignition key and your foot off of thebrake pedal.2.  Engage the vehicle’s parking brake and press the valet button 2 times.3.  The vehicle’s parking lights will turn on to verify the Turbo Timerfeature has been activated.4.  Turn the ignition key OFF, the vehicle will continue to run until the pre-programmed time has elapsed (1, 2, or 3 minutes)To disengage the turbo timer feature, press the vehicle’s brake pedal. Operating the Daily Start TimerThe system has the ability to start your vehicle based on a 24-hour countdowntimer.  This feature requires a two-part activation sequence. First enter thetransmitter’s advanced level menu and select daily start timer (refer to theactivating remote features section), this will activate the 24 hour countdown timer(the vehicle will start 24 hours from this time).  Next, When you are finishedoperating the vehicle for the day, perform the following steps to complete theprocess.1.  Turn the ignition ON/OFF (vehicle must be disarmed).2.  Within 10 seconds, while pressing the brake, press and release thevalet button 1 time.3.  The vehicle will emit 2 chirps.
10 2012 Audiovox Electronics Corporation. All rights reserved. Operating the 2 / 4 Hour Start Up Timer ModeThe system has the ability to start the vehicle every 2 or 4 hours over a 48hour period.  This feature is especially useful in cold climates where the onlymeans to keep the engine and engine fluids warm is to periodically start theengine.WARNING!Be certain that the vehicle is outdoors before using this or any remote startingdevice.  A running engine produces dangerous carbon monoxide fumes whichcan be harmful or fatal if prolonged exposure occurs.  DO NOT remote startthe vehicle if it is garaged.Selecting between 2 and 4 hour start up: (default 4 hour)1.  Press and hold  the valet button.2.  Turn the ignition switch ON then OFF. (10 second window begins)3.  Release the valet button4a. 2 Hour Start - Press and release the valet button 1 time then pressand hold until the 10 seconds window ends, the system will chirp 2times and the parking lights will flash 2 times.Or4b. 4 Hour Start - Press and release the valet button 3 times thenpress and hold until the 10 seconds window ends, the system willchirp 4 times and the parking lights will flash 4 times.5.  Release the valet button.To begin the 2 / 4 hour start up timer mode:1a.  Turn the ignition key ON then OFFOR1b. Remote start the vehicle and shut it down with the remote control2.  Within 10 seconds activate the 2/4 hour start timer from the remotecontrol. Refer to the activating remote control features section.The parking lights will flash and the system will sound 4 times indicating the 2 /4 hour start up timer mode has been activated.  The vehicle will start every 2or 4 hours and run for the preset time limit (5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes) and thenshutdown.  This will continue for 48 hours unless the 2 / 4 hour start uptimer is cancelled.To cancel the 2 / 4  hour start up timer mode:1.  Start the vehicle using the ignition key, then press the brake pedal.Or2.  Activate the remote vehicle start feature using the remote control.

Manual Transmission ModeRemote starting a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission will require a 2step safety sequence, Enter Ready Mode and Activate Ready Mode. The steps forentering and activating ready mode are programmable, see your installing dealerfor details.1 - Manual Transmission - Enter Ready Mode: Manual transmission enterready mode is step 1 of 2 required to allow remote start activation. Perform 1 ofthe following steps to Enter Ready Mode.Parking Brake + Start Button - Parking brake on then activate theremote start via the transmitter. (default)Parking Brake Twice - Parking brake on, off, on.Parking Brake + Brake - Parking brake on then press the brake pedal.2 - Manual Transmission - Activate Ready Mode: Manual transmissionactivate ready mode is step 2 of 2 required to allow remote start activation.Perform 1 of the following steps to Activate Ready Mode, once complete theremote start will shutdown and the transmitter can then be used to remote startthe vehicle.Last Door Closed + Lock - Ready after last door is closed then lockis pressed on the transmitter. (default)Last Door Closed - Ready after last door is closed. Fuel Saver ModeBy default the remote start will run for a set period of time, to give the system addedflexibility you can adjust this time from the remote control. The selectable run timesare 5, 10, 15, 20, 45, and 60 minutes. To adjust the run time refer to the activatingremote control features sections of this manual. Temp StartTemp Start allows automatic remote start activation once the ambient temperatureof the vehicle drops to the preset threshold of 0 degrees Fahrenheit. It is requiredthat the feature be set to ON in the remote start installation feature bank and willonly operate when activated from the remote control. To activate the feature fromthe remote control refer to the activating remote control features sections of thismanual.NOTE: The security system must be armed for this feature to operate.

Remote Start Safety FeaturesFor safety and security reasons, the system will shutdown or prevent the remotevehicle starter from activating if any of the following occur:1.  The vehicle hood is open.2.  The brake pedal is pressed prior to turning the ignition key to the ONposition.3.  The engine is over-revved (tach checking only).4.  Remote Start Valet Mode is active. Remote Start Valet ModeRemote Start Valet Mode is used to disable the system from remote starting. To enteror exit remote start valet mode simply follow the 4 steps outlined below:1.  Push and hold the programming/valet button.2.  Cycle the ignition ON/OFF, ON/OFF, ON/OFF.3.  Release the programming/valet button.4.  The LED will flash 2 short flashes and 1 long flash when in remote startvalet mode

AUX MenuControls the 4 optional auxiliary outputs Battery Save ModeWhile in Battery Save Mode the 2 way remote control will NOT look for anyincoming signals from the main unit until battery save mode is turned off. In additionto the menu screen, you can manually turn battery save on/off as follows:Battery save OFF: Press and hold   for 2 seconds.Battery save ON: Press and hold   +   for 2 seconds. Melody / Vibration ModeThe remote control can play a melody tone, vibrate or  both each time it receives aresponse from the vehicle. Status CheckThe remote control will update the vehicle’s current status. Temp CheckThe remote control will display the vehicle’s interior temperature. Parking Meter TimerThe remote control will countdown time based on the amount of time set by theuser. Alarm ClockAlarm clock with selectable alarm tones. Stop WatchDisplays time counting forward in seconds, minutes and hours.

When the battery becomes weak you will notice the remotecontrol range (the distance from the vehicle the remote control will work) deteriorateand the small LED on the remote control will dim.  To replace the remote controlbatteries:1. Remove 2 side panels and 1 screw then disassemble the halves of the remotecontrol.2. Remove the old battery, observing the +/- symbols on the batteries andreplace with new CR2032 battery.3. Reassemble the halves of the remote control and install the 2 side panels and 1screw.4.
