REMOTE STARTING THE VEHICLE
This will not start the vehicle if any one of the following situations exists:
The vehicle's hood lid is opened.
The gear shift selector is not in Park.
The brake pedal is depressed.
The system is in the override mode
1. To start the vehicle, press and release the
transmitter button two times within 2 seconds.
The vehicle will start and remain running for the
pre-programmed time of up to a 60 minute run
cycle. As a visual indication, the parking lights
will ash or remain on depending on the setting by
your installation center. Additionally if the two way
transceiver, shown right, is used, the transceiver will
play a melody when the vehicle is started, and the LED displayed in the center
of the transmitter button will ash every ten seconds while the vehicle is running.
2. When you arrive at the vehicle, turn the ignition key to the ON position (not the
spring loaded start position), then step on the brake pedal to disengage the remote
starter. The vehicle will continue to run, but now on its own power.
NOTE: The engine will stop running before the pre-programmed run cycle has
expired if you perform any one of the following functions:
Press and the button on the keychain transmitter two times within 2 seconds
Depress the brake pedal
Open the vehicle's hood
Place the unit in the safety control disabled mode.
PUSH-BUTTON LED RECEIVER VALET/OVERRIDE/SAFETY CONTROLSWITCH
The Push-Button LED switch located in the receiver allows you to temporarily dis-
able the remote starting function of the system. This is recommended whenever
the vehicle is being serviced. To place the system in the service mode:
1. With the vehicle disarmed/unlocked, and the ignition switch off, press and hold
the Push-Button, found on the windsheild receiver.
2. Turn the ignition switch on, off, on, off, on, off.
3. The LED begins to ash two short ashes followed by one long ashes and
continues this pattern until returned to normal mode of operation. This puts
the unit into the R/S Override mode indicating that the remote start is in the
service mode and will not start from RF or any other input Posse or otherwise.
To Exit R/S Override Mode:
1. With the system disarmed/unlocked, press and hold the Push-Button, found on
the windsheild receiver, in.
2. Turn the ignition switch on, off, on, off, on, off.
3. The LED turns off indicating that the R/S unit is fully functional once again.

UNLOCKING THE VEHICLE:
If you have an electric door lock, and the Optional Unlock feature was added,
with the vehicle running under command of the remote start unit, press and hold
the transmitter button for 3 seconds until the doors unlock.
CAR FINDER MODE:
Anytime the vehicle is not running under control of the remote start unit, within
operating range of the vehicle, press and hold the push-button of the hand held
transmitter for 4 seconds to activate the car nder mode. The vehicle lights & or
horn will ash - sound for 30 seconds or until the push-button is again pressed
and released.
TELEMATIC UPGRADE:
This system has the ability to have a telematic upgrade module connected to it.
This is an upgrade that can give you control of certain functions of your vehicle
from a telephone, or in some cases a computer interface. Please check with your
installation center for most recent Telematic Upgrades. If you had a Telematic Up-
grade installed, the manual supplied with the upgrade unit will provide an operator's
manual advising of the features of the system and means available to control these
features of your vehicle.
PROGRAMMING NEW OR REPLACEMENT TRANSMITTERS (BANK 1)
The Transmitter Model Names 151SP & 1BER15SP are also
Found On Back Of Transmitter Case.
Use Battery CR2032 For 151SP. Use (2) CR 2025's For 1BER15SP
1. Turn the ignition key to the on position.
2. Press and release the valet/programming switch 3 times (Siren Chirps).
3. Press the Transmitter Button of each transmitter you want programmed until you
hear a chirp from the horn or siren or the Parking Lights Flash
4. Turn the ignition switch off.
The above action programs the Start function for this system.
Transmitter Battery Replacement
1) Locate and remove the two "00" point philips head screw on the back of the transmitter
case.
2) Carefully separate the front case from the rear.
3) Slide the battery(s) out from under the battery clip and dispose of properly.
4) Install the new battery(s) with the (+) side facing up away from the circuit board.
5) Close the case and reassemble in reverse of disassembly

CAUTION!
A running vehicle produces dangerous carbon monoxide gas which can be fatal
if prolonged exposure occurs. Be certain the vehicle is outdoors before activat-
ing the remote start function.
