Page <#>THE DIGITAL MULTIZONE AMPLIFIERCongratulations!You’ve purchased the finest music distribution system avail-able today. The DMZ-1200 is a native to the network, CDquality digital music distribution system with a range of key-pads and remote controls that not only fully control yourmusic but control of all your other audio video components. The DMZ-1200 in many ways is the heart of your system,both distributing music to your speakers  and distributingstreams of music from your analog sources to other DMZamplifiers in the system. This makes your system scalable, andeasy to add additional rooms at any time in the future. All youneed is a DMZ amplifier connected to the network to makeany room a new DMZ music room.Along with the DMZ-1200, your system will include a MasterSystem Controller like the MRX-10 (the brain of the system)and as many digital music gateways as you have users via theunique URC SNP-1 Streaming Network Player.Each player provides one user with access to all of their musicand all of their preferences and favorites. Each SNP-1 access-es what’s stored on the network and what is available throughthe internet via Pandora, Rhapsody, XM, Sirius and InternetRadio. SNP-1s don’t have to be installed in the room wherethe DMZ resides. That way you can take advantage of the TVdisplay of cover art, album name, artist names and song titlein rooms with TVs, by having your installer connect to one ofyour TVs in the system.The DMZ-1200 is designed for professional installation only.He or she will help you select the right user interface forevery room of your installation. You’ll have a choice of in thewall keypads like the KP-4000 and KP-100 or remote controlslike the MX-780, MX-6000 or MX-5000. Theinternal power supply automatically switches whenconnected to either 110V or 220V.Automatic Fan for CoolingA whisper quiet fan automatically engages to keep theinternal temperature optimim for long life and reliableoperation.Network ConnectionA 10/100 LAN connection ensures that the DMZ-1200will receive all network streams from other DMZ orSNP sources.Six Powered ZonesThe DMZ-1200s internal amplifiers will power sixpairs of 8 ohm speakers with 50 watts per speaker.Each pair of speakers can listen to any DMZ source.

External amplifiersequipped with 12V triggers are ideal, since they willautomatically switched on when the zone is in use,and switched off when the zone is off.4 Audio Inputs Create DMZ StreamsUp to four analog audio sources can be connected tothe DMZ-1200. Each is simultaneously available as aDMZ stream on the network, not just to the DMZ theyare connected to, but all other DMZ amplifiers on thesame network.IR In for 1-Way RF Remotes and Base StationsWhen connected to a URC RF base station, a one wayURC remote control can be programmed to controlany or all zones.

Universal Remote Controlwill, at its sole option, repair the product using new orcomparable rebuilt parts, or exchange the product for acomparable new or rebuilt product. In the event of adefect, these are your exclusive remedies.This Limited Warranty covers only the hardware compo-nents packaged with the Product. System configuration for External LAN networkOne DMS component must connect to your broadband router using a standard①ROUTER PCEthernet cable(supplied).
