1 General Description
1.1 The TKP-7000 In-Wall Touch Screen is a stylish way to add total home control
that's always there when you need it. This elegant Touch Screen is ideal for
areas of your home where convenient system monitoring and control is
important.
1.2 Features
1.2.1 2-Way IP Home Theater AVRS
1.2.1.1 Now with the unique URC 2-Way database, you can control your
multi zone audio video receivers over your home network via the
MRX-10 Network System Controller.
1.2.2 2-Way IP Control of Media on PCs and iPods
1.2.2.1 The high speed of the LAN enables the TKP-7000 to display lists of
artists, albums or songs and to display the cover art of the selected
album on the Now Playing screen of the remote control from the
PSX-2 Personal Server or from a Mac or PC.
1.2.3 Backlit Color LCD screen
1.2.3.1 The TKP-7000 has a programmable 7” color touch screen. When any
button is pressed, the color LCD screen as well as the remote buttons,
will light up.
1.2.4 User Configurable Internet RSS for News, Sports, Stocks and Weather
1.2.4.1 The well known URC modules for News, Sports, Weather and Stocks
are all available updated to the TKP-2000 screen and of course, are
completely user set.
1.2.5 No batteries to replace...Ever!
1.2.5.1 The TKP-2000 is powered over the ethernet cable it’s connected to,
so you never have to worry about replacing batteries.
2 Installation
2.1 The TKP-7000 can fit into a standard 2 –Gang “J-box or Mud Ring” for
installation
2.1.1 The TKP-7000 is two separate pieces, the keypad and the mount. The
keypad section will fit onto the mounting section.
2.1.2 The mounting section will screw into the wall, and the TKP-7000 keypad
section would then snap into the mounting that is attached to the wall.

3 Connectors
3.1 The back of the keypad will have 1 RJ45 jack that is used to connect the unit
to the Local Area Network (LAN) and to also give it power one ONE Cat5
connector.
4 Power Requirements
4.1 Power Over Ethernet (PoE): is the only way the TKP-7000 can be powered.
4.2 The TKP-7000 will need to be connected to PoE switch or a PoE injector to be
used.
5 Buttons
5.1 Reset: on the bottom of the keypad is a reset button, and when pressed it will
reset the keypad.
5.2 The TKP_7000 will be re-booted when the Reset button is pressed without loss
of programming.
5.3 The TKP-7000 will be reset to the factory default program if the Reset button is
pressed and held for 15 seconds.
6 LCD Screen
6.1 Screen Size: 7 Inch Diagonal (155mm x 91.5 mm)

6.4 Touch Feedback: Haptic feedback when the LCD is touched.
6.5 Multi Touch: The LCD can recognize multi finger touch.
6.6 Flick/Drag: The LCD supports finger flick and dragging.
7 Sound
7.1 The TKP-7000 will support a beep sound that’s volume can be adjust.
7.1.1 This Beep sound can also be turned off.
