(“UNOWHY”) guarantees the QOOQ tablet hardware and accessories contained in the original packaging which can be identied by the trademark “UNOWHY” and/or the trademarks or tradename “QOOQ” and have the “UNOWHY” and/or “QOOQ” logo axed to them (“Products”) against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with UNOWHY’s instruction manual, inserts together with the original packaging for the Product or any service communications e-mailed or mailed to you (the “Published Guidelines”) for a period of two (2) years from the date of original retail or online purchase by the end-user purchaser (“Warranty Period”). This warranty does not apply to any non-UNOWHY or non-QOOQ branded hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with the Products. Manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers of these other products or software, other than UNOWHY, may provide their own warranties to you – please contact them for further information. Software distributed by UNOWHY (including, but not limited to Product system software) is not covered by this warranty. Please refer to the licensing agreement accompanying the software for details of your rights with respect to its use. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO(a) damage caused by the use of the Product with other products not sold by UNOWHY; (b) damage caused by accident, misuse, or abuse of the Product; (c) damage caused by a force majeure event, such as ood, re, earthquake or other external and unpredictable causes; (d) damage caused by the attempted repair or opening of hardware by a person who is not a representative of UNOWHY or an authorized service provider; (e) a product or part of the product that has been modied without the permission of UNOWHY; (f) consumable parts such as batteries, unless damage is due to a manufacturing defect; (g) cosmetic damage such as scratches, scus, dents and broken plastic parts, which does not impact the functionality of the Product or its operation; (h) products with the serial number removed or made unreadable;(i) damage caused by commercial use of the Product ;(j) damage resulting from failure to follow the Published Guidelines. If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, UNOWHY will, at its discretion, (i) repair the Product using new or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, (ii) replace the Product with a device that is at least functionally equivalent to the Product and is formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (iii) provide a full refund of your purchase price of the Product. In instances where warranty service does not require the Product to be opened (e.g. replacement of a backstand), UNOWHY may request that you replace certain user-installable parts yourself. A replacement part or Product, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by UNOWHY, assumes the remaining term of the Warranty Period or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. UNOWHY may request that that you return a replaced Product or part. When a Product or part is replaced or a refund provided, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced or refunded item returned to UNOWHY becomes UNOWHY’s property. Un produit ou une pièce de rechange, notamment une pièce pouvant être installée par l’utilisateur et qui aura été installée conformément aux instructions fournies par UNOWHY, sera garantie pour la plus longue des durées suivantes : le reste de la durée de garantie d’origine ou une durée de quatre-vingt-dix (90) jours à compter de la date du remplacement ou de la réparation. UNOWHY pourra exiger le retour du produit ou de la pièce remplacée. Lorsqu’un produit ou une pièce est échangé(e) ou remboursé(e), toute pièce de rechange devient votre propriété et la pièce échangée ou remboursée retournée devient la propriété de UNOWHY. * * *HOW DO I OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE? If UNOWHY determines that any Product is not covered by this warranty, you must pay all parts, shipping, and labor charges for the repair or return of such Product. If requested by UNOWHY, you must furnish the sales receipt or comparable proof of sale showing the original date of purchase in order to show that the Product is within the warranty period, the serial number of the Product and the seller’s name and address. In instances where warranty service does not require the Product to be opened (e.g. replacement of a backstand), UNOWHY may request that you replace certain user-installable parts yourself.In such cases, UNOWHY will ship a replacement part to you with installation instructions, if applicable, and any requirements for the return of the replaced part. You are responsible for labor costs incured in connection with installation of the replacement part. Should you require further assistance installing a replacement part, please contact UNOWHY at the telephone number listed above. In the event that UNOWHY requires return of the replaced Product or part, but is willing to provide the replacement Product or part prior to receipt of the replaced Product or part, UNOWHY may require a credit card authorization as security for the retail price of the replacement Product or part and applicable shipping costs. If you follow the instructions for returning the replaced Product or part, UNOWHY will cancel the credit card authorization, so you will not be charged for the Product. If you fail to return the replaced Product or part as instructed or return a replaced Product or part that is ineligible for service, UNOWHY will charge your credit card for the authorized amount. If UNOWHY does not require return of the replaced Product or part, UNOWHY will ship you a replacement Product or part accompanied by instructions on installation, if applicable, and any requirements for the disposal of the replaced Product or part. UNOWHY reserves the right to change the method by which UNOWHY may provide warranty service to you, and your Product’s eligibility to receive a particular method of warranty service. UNOWHY reserves the right to charge you shipping costs in connection with its provision of warranty service. It is possible that some or all of the contents may be deleted or reformatted during the course of warranty service, and UNOWHY will not be responsible for any such damage or loss. UNOWHY WARRANTY The UNOWHY company (hereinafter UNOWHY) is committed to ensuring that the QOOQ product works properly. To this end, UNOWHY, whose headquarters are located at 80bis, rue Danjou, 92100 Boulogne Billancourt, FRANCE agrees to repair or replace any QOOQ unit and accessories with a defect in materials or workmanship, excluding batteries, for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchasing at www.qooq.com. Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) will be required for any repair claims during this warranty period. In the event of a repair claim for a QOOQ unit covered by this warranty, the repair period spent on repairing the unit—a period of at least SEVEN (7) days—will be added to the remaining warranty period. No dealer, agent, or employee of Unowhy is authorized to make any modications, extension, or additions to this warranty. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS TO THE WARRANTY The UNOWHY warranty is limited to repair or replacement; the decision to repair or replace the QOOQ unit is solely at the discretion of UNOWHY. This warranty applies only to products manufactured by or for UNOWHY that can be identied by the “UNOWHY” and/or “QOOQ” trademark, trade name, or logo axed to them. This warranty does not apply to any products not marketed under the “UNOWHY” and/or “QOOQ” trademark, even if packaged or sold with the QOOQ unit. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY(a) to damage caused by use of QOOQ unit with products not marketed by UNOWHY; (b) to damage caused by accident or misuse of the product; (c) to damage caused by an event of force majeure such as: ood, re, earthquake or other unpredictable external causes; (d) to damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of UNOWHY or an authorized service provider; (e) to a product or part that was modied without the permission of UNOWHY; (f) to consumable parts, such as batteries, unless damage has occurred due to a defect in workmanship; (g) to any cosmetic damage such as scratches, scus, dents, or broken plastic parts that do not aect the functionality or correct operation of the product; (h) if the QOOQ unit serial number has been removed or defaced. UNOWHY does not guarantee its ability to repair or exchange any product at the end of this warranty without any risk or loss of programs or data. It is therefore recommended to create backups before implementation of this warranty. UNOWHY shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damage resulting from the loss or damage to data, nor for any costs of recovering, programming, or reproducing any program or data stored or used with UNOWHY products. LEGAL GUARANTEESThe warranty described above does not exclude benet of the legal guarantees granted to non-professional purchasers. This includes guarantees resulting from the following provisions : the QOOQ tablet. Article 1641 of the Civil CodeA seller is bound to a warranty on account of the latent defects of the object sold which render it unt for the use for which it was intended, or which so impair that use that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would only have paid a reduced price for it, had he known of them. Article 1648-1 of the Civil CodeThe action resulting from the defects giving rise to the right to cancellation must be brought by the buyer within a period of two years following the discovery of such defect. Article L211-4 of the Consumer CodeThe seller is required to deliver a product which conforms to the contract and is held liable for any lack of conformity existing upon delivery. The seller is also held liable for any lack of conformity caused by the packaging or the assembly instructions or the installation if the seller assumed responsibility thereof or had it carried out under its responsibility. TURNING ON THE QOOQ TABLET FOR THE FIRST TIMEWhen turning on your tablet for the rst time, you will need to follow a series of four simple steps to complete setup. You can go back at any time and start a step again if you wish to make a change by using the button at the bottom of the screen.Follow the instructions on the screen. In just a few minutes, your QOOQ tablet will be ready to use!Step 1: Choose Your LanguageStep 2: Connect Your Tablet to Wi-FiChoose your Wi-Fi network from the list of wireless networks. If your wireless network is protected by a password (often the WEP/WPA security key), enter it using the virtual keyboard. This network connection will be saved the next time you use your tablet.If you don’t know your Wi-Fi password, refer to the documentation provided by your Internet provider. In some cases, it may be necessary to congure your Internet modem so that your tablet will be recognized on the Wi-Fi network. If you run into problems, refer to the documentation provided by your Internet provider.You can skip this step for now, but you will not be able to use all of the functions of the tablet until you have set up this wireless connection.Step 3: Associate Your QOOQ Tablet with Your Google™ AccountIf you are already using Google, connect to your account. If not, you can create a Google account directly from the tablet, which will allow you to access Google’s functions and to download applications on Google Play™.Step 4: Identify Your TabletIdentify your QOOQ tablet in order to personalize certain applications. The tablet will be associated to your Google account by default, but you can modify this manually.If you have decided not to associate your tablet with a Google account, you can enter your rst and last name.Your QOOQ Tablet is Now Operational ! The rst screens will show you a few key functions to help you get using your tablet as soon as possible !CREATING A QOOQ ACCOUNT To use all of the culinary functions of your QOOQ tablet, you will need to create a QOOQ account. As soon as your tablet has been set up, a dialog window will automatically open and will guide you step by step through the creation of your account.If you already have a QOOQ account, you can migrate your account to your new tablet in order to access all associated information. In this case, choose the “Migrate My QOOQ Account” button on the rst screen.When your QOOQ tablet has been associated with your QOOQ account, you can access your account at any time to consult or modify it in the “My Account” section of the QOOQ application.CHARGING THE BATTERY• Only use the USB adapter included with your QOOQ Tablet. The USB adapter may become slightly warm during normal use. Connect the adapter to the outlet according to the instructions on the label. • If you must use a surtension protector, make sure not to overload it by having too many devices connected simultaneously. • Make sure the USB adapter is not damaged and, if so, do not charge your tablet with it. • The installed battery should not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct sunlight or re. En quelques minutes, votre tablette QOOQ sera prête à être utilisée.Étape 1 : Sélectionnez votre langueÉtape 2 : Connectez votre tablette au Wi-Fi Sélectionnez dans la liste des réseaux sans l disponibles votre réseau Wi-Fi et s’il comporte un mot de passe (il s’agit souvent de la clé de cryptage WEP/WPA de votre réseau), tapez-le en utilisant le clavier virtuel qui sera alors aché. Ce réseau restera enregistré lors de vos prochaines connexions. Pour connaître la clé de cryptage de votre réseau Wi-Fi, référez-vous à la documentation fournie par votre opérateur Haut-Débit. Il peut dans certains cas être nécessaire de congurer la box de votre opérateur Haut-Débit pour que votre tablette QOOQ soit reconnue sur le réseau Wi-Fi. Si vous rencontrez des dicultés, référez-vous également à la documentation fournie par votre opérateur. La tablette sera par défaut associée à vos identiants de compte Google mais vous pouvez modier ce paramètre manuellement. Si vous avez décidé de ne pas associer votre tablette à un compte Google, vous pourrez saisir votre prénom et votre nom. Votre tablette QOOQ est maintenant opérationnelle. Les premiers écrans vont vous montrer les quelques boutons importants pour bien vous en servir.CRÉER UN COMPTE QOOQ Pour pouvoir utiliser toutes les fonctionnalités culinaires de votre tablette QOOQ, il vous faut créer votre compte QOOQ. Dès que votre tablette aura été paramétrée, une fenêtre de dialogue s’ouvrira automatiquement et vous guidera pas à pas dans la création de ce compte. Si vous avez déjà un compte QOOQ, vous pouvez migrer ce compte sur cette nouvelle tablette et retrouver toutes les informations et données associées à votre compte. Choisissez dans ce cas le bouton « Migrer mon compte QOOQ » sur le premier écran de création de compte.Lorsque votre tablette QOOQ aura été associée à votre compte QOOQ, vous pourrez à tout moment accéder à votre compte, pour le consulter ou le modier dans la rubrique «Espace perso» de l’application QOOQ.RECHARGER SA TABLETTE QOOQ • N’utilisez que l’adaptateur USB fourni avec votre tablette QOOQ. Il peut chauer légèrement dans les conditions normales d’utilisation. • Raccordez l’adaptateur au réseau électrique conformément aux indications portées sur l’étiquette située dessus. Si vous devez utiliser une rallonge, assurez-vous de ne pas surcharger celle-ci en ayant trop d’appareils branchés en même temps. • Veillez à ce que l’adaptateur ne soit pas endommagé et ne rechargez jamais votre tablette s’il est endommagé. • La batterie installée ne doit pas être exposée à une chaleur excessive telle que celle du soleil ou d’un feu. NETTOYER SA TABLETTE QOOQ • Avant de nettoyer votre tablette QOOQ, éteignez-la et assurez-vous qu’elle n’est pas branchée à l’adaptateur secteur.• Utilisez une éponge légèrement humidiée ou un chion doux. Ne vaporisez jamais de liquide directement sur votre tablette QOOQ et ne l’immergez pas dans un liquide. • N’utilisez pas de dissolvants ou de produits abrasifs qui pourraient endommager les nitions de votre tablette QOOQ. PROTÉGER SA TABLETTE QOOQ • Votre tablette QOOQ est un appareil électronique sophistiqué. Manipulez-la avec précaution, elle pourrait ne pas résister à un choc dû à une chute. • La partie extérieure de l’écran est en verre et peut se briser en cas de chute. Si le verre est endommagé, ne le touchez pas et n’essayez pas de retirer les éclats. • N’exposez pas votre tablette QOOQ à des ammes et ne la placez pas au dessus de sources de ammes nues, telles que des bougies allumées. Ne placez pas votre tablette QOOQ à proximité immédiate d’une source de chauage et ne l’exposez pas directement au soleil. • N ’utilisez pas l’appareil dans un environnement exceptionnellement humide. Ne le soumettez pas à des fortes ou basses températures. • N’ouvrez pas et ne démontez pas votre tablette QOOQ. Tous les composants internes, dont la batterie, ne peuvent être réparés ou changés que par UNOWHY ou un opérateur agréé. • La tablette QOOQ évacue correctement la chaleur qu’elle développe. Ne la placez pas sur de la moquette, de la mousse... • La tablette QOOQ n’est pas prévue pour être utilisée par des jeunes enfants ou des personnes dont les capacités mentales sont réduites, sauf s’ils bénécient de la surveillance d’une personne responsable ou d’instructions préalables concernant l’utilisation de l’appareil. Prévention de la diminution de l’acuité auditive : vous encourez des risques de perte d’audition irréversibles si, en utilisant la tablette QOOQ avec des écouteurs, ceux-ci sont réglés à pleine puissance. Vous devez régler le volume à un niveau ne présentant pas de danger. L’utilisation régulière des écouteurs habitue à un volume élevé qui peut vous sembler normal mais pourrait endommager votre ouïe. Si vous entendez des bourdonnements ou un son étoué, arrêtez l’écoute et consultez un spécialiste de l’audition. Plus le volume est élevé, plus votre audition risque d’être endommagée rapidement. PROTECTING THE QOOQ TABLET• The QOOQ Tablet is a sophisticated piece of electronic equipment. Handle it with care. It may not withstand the impact from a fall. • The external part of the screen is glass and can be broken if dropped. If the glass is damaged, do not touch it or attempt to remove splinters. • Do not expose the QOOQ Tablet to ames and do not place it over open ame sources, such as lit candles. Do not place the QOOQ Tablet close to a source of heat and do not expose it to direct sunlight. • Do not use it in an extremely humid environment.
