unit but we do notify the vehicle manufacturer of the required statements that must be placed in thei'
users manual. meeting the requirements of the Federal Communications Commission CFR 47. Part 15,
Paragraph 15.19(a)(3) and Industry Canada RSS-210, Paragraph 5411:

The model PMV-108M is installed in your vehicles as original equipment. We do not supply a manual
with this unit but we request that the following required statements be placed in the vehicles manual to
meet the requirements of the Federal Communications Commission CFR 47, Part 15, and Industry
Canada RSS-2104
COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
“This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: 1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and, 2) This device must accept
any interference received including interference that may cause undesired operafion."
MODIFICATION CAUTION STATEMENT:
“CAUTION TO USER: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible
for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.”
RF EXPOSURE CAUTION STATEMENT (for a mobile device that must maintain a separation distance of
at least 20 cm):
"RF Radiation Hazard Wam'ng: To ensure compliance with FCC RF Exposure requirements, this
device must be installed in a location such that the antenna of the device will be greater than 20
cm (8 in.) from all persons."

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO THE APPLICANT:
If your device IS a transmitter with a detachable antenna. you also need to notify the automobile
manufacturer to include the following statements per IC RSS -210 Paragraph 5 5 and the second part of
RSS- 210, Paragraph 511:
‘I'his device has been designed to operate with an antenna having a maximum gain of __dB.
Antenna having a higher gain is strictly prohibited per regulations of Industry Canada The
required antenna inpedance is _ ohms.‘
" To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so
chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) is not more than that required for
successful communication."
