The electronic equipment which is the subject of the above FCC certification request is a
cellular mobile telephone which is manufactured exclusively for one Japanese cellular
Network Operator.
The telephone is dual—mode UMTS/GSM design to allow international roaming use for
Japanese customers when visiting overseas, and consequently the Japanese Network
Operator has requested GCF and PTCRB certification. FCC certification is a prerequisite of
PTCRB certification,
As the telephone will only be sold in Japan, the User Manual is only written in the Japanese
language with a short English language section containing Safety precautions/ regulatory
information and a First Step guide.
Therefore we can not provide a full English language User Manual, but in the circumstances,
request that you accept this statement along with the attached FCC Safety/ regulatory pages
and First Step guide printed in English.
