1.1 Getting to know the Network Camera
1.1.1 Main features
ereless Communication
Network Camera corresponds to the wireless system based on IEEE 802.1 1 b.
Wireless Installation will play an increasing role In flexlble mounting.
Splash Resistant
Network Camera has a splash resistant body. The splash resistant body allows the
Network Camera to be used in indoors and outdoors.
Easy installation
Installation is simplified using the Network Camera integrated web server and the
web browser. No additional software is required.
High Speed Motion JPEG
Using the Network Camera Integrated web server, Motion JPEG, up to 15 frames
per second, can be displayed. To conserve bandwidth, JPEG - Regularly Refresh
can be selected from the Top Page. Refreshing interval can be set on the Top Wew
Image window.
Remote PaaniIt Operation
PanITIIt operation can move the lens horizontally 120° and downside 45“. This
movable lens allows you to see the situation in the wide room where the object is.
It can adjust the angle easily from the web browser.
Multi-Camera Screen
Using Multi-Camera screen you can simultaneously view up to four cameras at
various location. Clicking on each Camera Name switches to the Single Camera
screen from the Mum-Camera screen.
Multl Client Access
The Network Camera allows the 10 users to view the Motlon JPEG image
slmultaneously. The users can access the Top View Image screen (Slngle
Camera/Multi-Camera screen) from their own locations.
Operating Insiructims
IIO (Input/Output) Connector
IIO connector consists of the digital input/output terminal. The external
sensors/devices such as a door sensor can connect to the digital Input terminal.
The external sensors/devices are customer provided. Any required custom
interface is the customer‘s responsibility. The alarm/timer trigger can activate the
image Transfer feature which can send the images via e—maii or FTP (File Transfer
Protocol).
The digital output terminal can send a signal to activate the external devices such
as a light around the Network Camera.
Update Firmware
lf Update Firmware is released, you can download the latest program from the
Network Camera Technical Support Site. installation Is easy and fast.
Authentication
Authentication window requires you to enter the administrator/general user ID
and password. Password security can prevent the unregistered user from
accessing your image from their web browsers.

Camera in the following figure. Wireless communication will stop when inserting
category 5 cable into the Ethernet port.

Operating Insimaions
2.1 Interfacing to the IIO Connector
The Alarm mode in Image Transfer feature requires the external sensors/devices
to be connected to the digital input terminal of me I/O Connector. The sensor is
customer provided and can be a door sensor or infrared red intruder sensor. In
most applications a simple contact closure is all that is required.
Explanation of IIO Connector

Digital Input Terminal
' Please use it by opening or GND short-circuit.
4 Digital Output Terminal
- Digital Output Control window can set the digital output terminal.
~ It is an open collector circuit, and the maximum drawing»in current is 50
mA. Maximum voltage is +15 V DC.
CAUTION
THE DIGITAL IIO CONNECTOR IS NOT CAPABLE OF CONNECTING
DIRECTLY TO DEVICES THAT REQUIRE LARGE AMOUNTS OF CURRENT.
IN SOME CASES, A CUSTOM INTERFACE CIRCUIT (CUSTOMER
PROVIDED) MAY HAVE TO BE USED. SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE
NETWORK CAMERA MAY RESULT IF A DEVICE IS CONNECTED TO THE
IIO CONNECTOR THAT EXCEEDS ITS ELECTRICAL CAPABILITY.

INCORRECT WIRING COULD DAMAGE THE NETWORK CAMERA. YOU

2.2 Network Camera reset procedure—default
settings
If the user forgets the settings or passwords, the Network Camera can be easily
reset to the default settings.
Mn, press the CLEAR SET11NG button for about 1 second. The
Power Indicator in the front of the Network Camera fades and blinks for about 45
seconds when the Pan/Tilt motors will set to the center position. The entire
procedure takes about1 minute.

3.1 Important Safety Instruction
When using this unit, basic safety precautions should always be followed to

further away from the TV or VCR. This will often reduce or eliminate, interference.
Operating near 2.4 GHz electrical appliances may cause interference. Move away
from the electrical appliances.
. Environment: do not place the unit where the temperature is less than 14°F
(20°C) or greater than 122°F (50°C). Allow 4" (10 cm) clearance around the
unit for proper ventilation. Avoid excessive smoke, dust, mechanical vibration,
shock, or direct sunlight.
. Routine care: wipe the unit with a soft cloth. Do not use benzine, thinner, or
any abrasive powder. When you leave the unit unused for a long period of time.
