You can program the dialing mode using the handset close to the base unit. If
you have touch tone service, sel to TONE If rotary service is used, set to
PULSE. Yuur phone comes lrom the factory set to TONE.
The TALK indicator light must be off belore programming.
1 Press PROGRAM.
- The TALK Indicator flashes.
2 Press AUTO.
3 To select PULSE. press it twice.
OR
To select TONE, press -)6 twice.
4 When finished. press PROGRAM.
I To make a call with the handset
1 Press TALK.
- The indicator lights.
2 Dial a telephone number.
3 To hang up, press TALK or place the handset on the base unit.
a The indicator light goes out.
. It alarm tone sounds on step 1, move closer to the base unit or place the
handset on the base unit Then try again.
o To redial the last number: Press TALK, then press REDIAL.
- To select the handset receiver volume: Press LOUD while talking.
Each time you press the button, the volume level will change from
MEDIUM (preset) to HIGH to Low

If the handset is 011 lhe base unit, press TALK.
If the handset is on the base unit, lust Iilt it up.

You can store a phone number in (he DIRECT button The stored number is
dialed with a one-touch operation.

To power the handset, charge the battery before initial use.
Place the handset on the base unit for about 15 hours.

When the RECHAHGE indicator flashes or the unit beeps intermittently,
recharge the battery.
- clean the handset and the base unit charge contacts with a soft dry
cloth once a month. Clean more often of the unit is subject to grease,
dust or high humidity. It not, the battery may not charge properly.
- If the battery Is iully charged, you do not have to place lhe handset on the
base unit until the RECHARGE indicator flashes, This will maximize the
battery life.
