To powerthe handset, charge the battery
Place the handset on the base unit for about 15 hours beiore initial use.
-The IN USE/CHARGE indicator lights.
. Recharge
When the RECHAHGE indicator flashes or the unit beeps intermittently,
recharge the battery
. Clean the handset and the base unit charge contacts with a soft dry cloth
once a month. Clean more often if the unit is subject to grease, dust or
high humidity. It not, the batten/ may not charge properly.
. It the battery is tutly charged, you do not have to place the handset on the base
unit until the HECHARGE indicator flashes. This will maximize the battery lite.
~ The battery cannot be overcharged,
You can program the dialing mode by using the handset near the base unit. if
you have touch lone service, set 10 TONE. If rotary or pulse service is used, set
to PULSE
The TALK and SPVPHONE indicator lights must be off before programming
1 Press PROGRAM,
- The TALK indicator flashes.
2 Press AUTO.
3 To seiect PULSE, press # twice

4 When finished, press PROGRAM.
I To make a call with the handset
1 Press TALK.
- The TALK indicator lights
2 Dial a telephone number.
3 To hang up, press TALK or place the handset on the base unit.
- The TALK indicator light goes out.
- it an alarm tone sound in step 1, move closer to the base unit or place the
handset on the base unit. Then try again.
- If you misdial: F'ress FLASH firmly, then dial again.
- To redial the last number: Press TALK, then press REDIAL.
- To select the receiver volume: Press LOUD while talking.
Each time you press the button, the volume level W|Il change from MEDIUM
(preset) lo HIGH lo LOW.
- To put a call on hold: Press HOLD,
- To release the hold: From the handset, press TALK.
From the base unit, press SP—PHONE.
I To answer a call with the handset
It the handset is off the base unit, press TALK.
ii the handset is on the base unit, just lilt up.
- Any Key Talk: You can also answer a call by pressing any dialing button
0 to 9, éé or at.
- Adjusting the ringer volume: The TALK indicator light must be off.
—To select HIGH (preset) or LOW, press RINGER brielly. Each time you
press the button briefly, the selected volume rings and the ringer volume wlll
change.
—To turn the ringer OFF, press and hold HINGER until 2 beeps sound.
ATo turn the ringer ON, press RINGER bnetly. The ringer sounds at the
HlGH level.
- Selecting the ringer tone (2 types): When the TALK indicator light is off,
press HINGER then press 96 within 5 seconds. The selected ringer tone
sounds. Each time you press 96 within 5 seconds, the ringer tone will change.
I To make a call with the base unit
1 Press SP-PHONE.

2 Dial a telephone number.
3 Talk into the MK) (microphone)
4 To hang up, press SP-PHONE.
- The indicator light goes out
. If you misdial: Press FLASH firmly, then dial again.
. To redial the last number: Press SP—PHONE, then press HEDIAL/PAUSE
- To adjust the speaker volume (12 levels}: To increase, press VOLUME
To decrease, press VOLUME
- To put a cell on hold: Press HOLD.
- To release the hold: From the base Uhll, press SP-PHONEr
From the handset. press TALK or hit lhe handset all the base unit.
I To answer a call with the base unit
Press SP—PHONE‘ then talk into the Mic (microphone).
- To select the base unit ringer volume: Set the RINGER selector to HlGH,
LOW, or OFF‘ When set 10 OFF, the base unit will not ring.
You can use the base unit like a standard telephone. After pressing TALK to
make a'call with the handset near the base unit, you can also dial uslng the
base unit keypad,

Dlal a telephone number while hearlng a dial tone Wllh the handset.
- When the other party answers, talk uslng the handset.
3 Handset:
To hang up, press TALK or place the handset on the be :e unlt.
You can switch a can with the handset to the speakerphone easily.

You can store up to 20 phone numbers; 10 in the handset and 10 in the base
unit. The dtaiing buttons (0 to 9) function as memory stations.
. Numbers stored in the handset can oniy be dialed by the handset, and vice

3 Press the memory station number (0 to 9).
- The stored number is dialed.
