To power the handset, charge the battery.
Place the handset on the base unit for about 7 hours before initial use.
o The IN USE/CHARGE indicator lights.
I Recharge
Recharge the battery when:
—"Recharge' is displayed,
-'1 I ' llashes on the display, or
— the handset beeps every minute while it is in use.
. The battery lite may be shortened depending on usage conditions. such as
viewing the Caller ID Caller List, and ambient temperature.
. Clean the handset and base unit charge contacts with a soft dry cloth
once a month. Clean more often if the unit is subject to grease, dust or
high humidity. Otherwise the battery may not charge properly.
. It the battery is fully charged, you do not have to place the handset on the base
unit until "Recharge" is displayed and/or "1 l ' flashes. This will maximize
the battery life.
. The battery cannot be overcharged.
I To make a call
1 Press -.
o The TALK indicator lights.
2 Dial a telephone numberi
o The dialed number is displayed.
\ o After lew seconds, the display will show the length of the call and the
present battery strength.
3 To hang up, press TALK or place the handset on the base unit.
0 The indicator light goes out
o It “Out of range' is displayed and an alarm tone sounds in step 1, move closer
to the base unit or place the handset on the base unit. Then try again.
I To redial the last number
1 Press FUNCTION/EDIT.
2 Press Em and TA t
I To answer a call

0 Plugging an optional headset into the unit provides a hands-free conversation.
Use only a Panasonic KX—TCABO or KX-TACQO headset.
This unit is compatible with a Caller ID service offered by your telephone
company.
After you subscribe to a Caller ID service, The calling party information will be
displayed after the first ring.
The unit can record information of up to 50 different callers, including the time
and date received and the number of times called. in the Caller List. The Caller
List information is sorted by the most recent to the oldest call. When the 51st
call is received, the first call is deleted.
if your unit is connected to a PBX system which does not support Caller ID
services, you cannot access those services. Please consult your equipment
supplier.

When using this unit, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
1. Head and understand all instructions.
2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on this unit.
3. Unplug this unit from AC outlets belore cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol
