puter" in [Start] - [Settings] — [Control Panel] - [Power] 7 If it is unmarked, the computer
may automatically enter a power saving mode to prevent the temperature from rising above
allowable levels, depending on usage condition. Add the check mark to "Allow Windows to
manage power use on this computer".

and time through [Date/rime] in [Start] - [Settings] , [Control Panel].

Before Reinstallation
Preparing
0 You will need the Product Recovery CD»ROM and the BACKUP DISK(e.g., FIRSTAlD FD) you made earlier. (Refer to
the Step you page 13 for details.)
If you have not created the BACKUP DISK, you can create by selecting [Create BACKUP DISK] tn [Start] .
[Programs] . [panasonic]. if you can not create this disk, Contact Panasonic Technical Support.
0 The CD-ROM pack (CFrVCD27I) ' is required for the following reinstallation procedure. Mount the CD-ROM pack in
the multimedia pocket. (Refer to the operating instructions of the CD-ROM pack for details.)

*DVD-ROM drive pack (CF—VDD272) may be used.
0 Save all important data. If teinsiallation is carried out, all data existing prior to the installation will be lost. The
teinstallation will return the computer to close to the conditions at time of purchase
