Toner cartridge and drum unit Caution: clf ingestion oi toner occurs, drink several glasses of water to dilute stomach contents, and seek immediate medical treatment. If eye contact with toner occurs, llush thoroughly with water, and seek medical treatment. It skin contact with toner occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. 000 not open the protective bag until you have read the lollowing instructions and are ready to install the drum unit. The drum unit contains anvphotosensitive drum. Exposing it to light may damage the drum. Once you have opened the protective bag; —Do not expose the drum unit to light for more than 5 minutes. —Do not touch the green drum surface ——Do not keep the drum unit near dust or dirt. —Do not place the drum unit In a high humidity area. —Do not expose the drum unit to direct sunlight. 1 Open the protective bag and remove the toner cartridge. OBe careful not to make the surrounding area dirty when handling the sealing film. because it may contain toner residue. fl Pull the upper cover open handle forward and open the upper cover. 4 Install the toner cartridge by holding the two (abet Open the protective bag by cutting the end oi the bag and remove the drum unit. iDo not expose the drum unit to light for more than 5 minutes as It may damage the drum unit. Close the upper cover securely by pushing down on both ends. Document stacker fi, 1 Insert two tabs of the document stacker into the slots on the unlt. 2 Press the document stacker horizontally. 10 Paper fl You can load letter or legal size paper in the paper cassette. The paper cassette can hold up to 150 sheets of 75 gm2 (20 lb.) paper. You may use 60 gm: to 90 g/m2 (18 lb. to 24 lb.) paper. Note: 0Avoid paper with a cotton and/or tiber content that Is over 20 %, such as letterhead paper or those used tor resumes. one not use different types or thicknesses oi paper in the paper cassette at the same time. This may cause a paper jam. OAVoid extremely smooth or shiny paper that is highly textured.
