Setup
Preparation
Turn off all equipment before connection and read the appropriate
operating instructions.
Connect the AC power supply cord after all other connections are
complete.
[Note]
Do not use the wireless system and digital transmitter in a metal cabinet
or bookshelf.
Do not attempt to connect any extra surround speakers to the home
theater unit.
Place the wireless system within approximately 15 m (47 ft) from the
home theater unit.

Place on the side of or slightly behind the seating position.
The wireless system will automatically seek a clear channel if any of
these other devices interfere with its communication.
When this happens, the wireless link indicator ([W1] or an indicator)
flashes on the home theater unit, and there is a brief interruption in
audio coming from the surround speakers.
This is the normal operation of the product working to assure the best
possible performance of your home theater unit.
If the interference persists, try moving the other devices to another
location outside the range of the wireless system, or move the wireless
system nearer to your home theater unit.

your home theater unit.

When you enjoy 7.1-channel playback, refer also to Using the surround back speakers ( 10).
Conserving power
The wireless system consumes a small amount of power, even when it is
off (approx. 0.2 W). To save power when the unit is not to be used for a
long time, unplug it from the household AC outlet.
Making the wireless link
1Turn on the wireless system.
Unit on/off button [POWER I, ]
Use this button to turn the unit on and off.
I: The unit is on. : The unit is off.
WIRELESS LINK indicator
Red: The unit is on and the wireless link is deactivated.
Green: The unit is on and the wireless link is activated.
2Turn on your home theater unit.
The wireless link indicator on your home theater unit will be turned
on.
The type of the indicator varies according to the home theater unit.
3Start play on the home theater unit.
If the indicator is flashing, refer to
Troubleshooting guide ( 11).

Setup
By using 2 sets of SH-FX70, you can enjoy 7.1-channel playback, making
the surround speakers and surround back speakers wireless ( 7).
Keep the digital transmitter of the additional wireless system for later
use.
Preparation
Make sure to connect the AC power supply cord of the additional
wireless system.
Turn on the home theater unit and reduce the volume.
[Note]
If you should change the digital transmitter, repeat the pairing steps for
both units of the wireless system, one unit at a time.
You cannot use the wireless system with SH-FX65T or SH-FX67T
digital transmitter.
Using the surround back speakers
Use only the SH-TR70 digital transmitter.
Wireless system is originally paired to work with the SH-TR70
digital transmitter that comes along with it. For any other
accessories to work with the SH-TR70 digital transmitter in use,
pairing is necessary.

1 Turn on the additional wireless system.
2 While pressing the skip and slow-search button (e.g. [ /] ) on
the home theater unit, press the numbered button [3] on the remote
control until lights in the home theater units display.

[I/D SET] on the rear of the
additional wireless system.
The indicator on the additional
system turns green.
If goes off before you press
[I/D SET], repeat step 2 and
then continue the procedure.
4 While pressing [ /] on the home theater unit, press the
numbered button [3] on the remote control.
5 Turn off and on the additional wireless system.
Make sure the indicator on the additional wireless system lights up
green.

Product service
1 Damage requiring serviceThe unit should be serviced by qualified
service personnel if:
(a) The AC power supply cord or AC adaptor has been damaged; or
(b) Objects or liquids have gotten into the unit; or
(c) The unit has been exposed to rain; or
(d) The unit does not operate normally or exhibits a marked change in
performance; or
(e) The unit has been dropped or the cabinet damaged.
2 ServicingDo not attempt to service the unit beyond that described in
these operating instructions. Refer all other servicing to authorized
servicing personnel.
3 Replacement partsWhen parts need replacing ensure the servicer
uses parts specified by the manufacturer or parts that have the same
characteristics as the original parts. Unauthorized substitutes may
result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
4 Safety checkAfter repairs or service, ask the servicer to perform
safety checks to confirm that the unit is in proper working condition.
The servicer will require all components to service your system.
Therefore, should service ever be necessary, be sure to bring the entire
system.

Clean this unit with a soft, dry cloth.
Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to clean this unit.
Before using chemically treated cloth, carefully read the instructions that
came with the cloth.
Before requesting service, make the following checks. If you are in doubt
about some of the check points, or if the solutions indicated in the table do
not solve the problem, refer to Customer Services Directory (United
States and Puerto Rico) on page 14 if you reside in the U.S.A. or Puerto
Rico, or refer to Product information on the left if you reside in Canada.

connected properly.

Limited Warranty Coverage (For USA and Puerto Rico Only)
If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or
workmanship, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company (referred to as the
warrantor) will, for the length of the period indicated on the chart below, which starts
with the date of original purchase (warranty period), at its option either (a) repair your
product with new or refurbished parts, or (b) replace it with a new or a refurbished
product. The decision to repair or replace will be made by the warrantor.
During the Labor warranty period there will be no charge for labor. During the Parts
warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. You must carry-in or mail-in your
product during the warranty period. If non-rechargeable batteries are included, they
are not warranted. This warranty only applies to products purchased and serviced in
the United States or Puerto Rico. This warranty is extended only to the original
purchaser of a new product which was not sold as is. A purchase receipt or other
proof of the original purchase date is required for warranty service.

Limited Warranty Limits And Exclusions
This warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in materials or workmanship,
and DOES NOT COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The warranty
ALSO DOES NOT COVER damages which occurred in shipment, or failures which
are caused by products not supplied by the warrantor, or failures which result from
accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty
installation, set-up adjustments, misadjustment of consumer controls, improper
maintenance, power line surge, lightning damage, modification, or commercial use
(such as in a hotel, office, restaurant, or other business), rental use of the product,
service by anyone other than a Factory Service Center or other Authorized Servicer,
or damage that is attributable to acts of God.
THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS LISTED
UNDER LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE. THE WARRANTOR IS
NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
